Welcome to The Starlings, my children. There's a world full of possibilities for you to explore. I encourage you to seek them out, to claim a part of this world, and truly make it your own. There are no limits, whatever you can dream, you can become. - Tali

|| Tali ||

The original god, the one who started it all. This is their world, a world they wish to see inhabited. They present themselves as a golden tabby Maine Coon with dark amber eyes, white paws, and a white chest. They come across as extremely friendly, always willing to talk with their creations, being the god of creation. She is watching her creations for promise, to see if they are worthy of being a god themselves.

|| The Starlings ||

The group that this game is based upon. They are one of Tali's many attempts at finding creations worthy of becoming gods. They are far from the first and will not be the last.

|| Territory ||

The Starlings live in a valley, surrounded by gorgeous snow-capped mountains. A river runs down from the flat top of one of the mountains, flowing into the large lake that spans most of the east side of the valley. The lake shore is a sandy beach that transitions into gravel before it turns into dirt. The west side of the valley is a stunning grassy birch forest, also littered with large ferns, moss clumps, and berry bushes. Other plants can also be found among the foliage, but there isn't enough for it to be noticeable unless you were looking. There's a small meadow in the forest where the group makes camp.

|| The Camp ||

The camp of the Starlings is in the small meadow nestled deep in the birch forest. A small pool of water is in the camp, along with many small and bright flowers. A few boulders are present on the south side of the meadow, making a fine spot to sit and relax, as the sun usually reaches the boulders. The dens are built around the edges of the meadow, made by using vines, sticks, bark, and the trees that border the meadow to form sturdy dens.

|| The Shrine to Tali ||

If you walk along the river that flows into the lake from the mountains, you'll reach a large cave on the side of the mountain. Inside the cave is a large garnet, that seems to glow with a power not from the mortal world. Along with the large garnet, moss can be found covering the walls of the cave, some being bioluminescent. The floor is covered with small puddles of water and small stalagmites while large stalactites come down from the ceiling, also covered in moss.

|| Mortals ||

What almost all players will start out as. There is nothing special to them, no little quirks that have an effect on the world around them without trying to directly cause it. However, being mortal doesn't mean that you cannot become more than just a mortal.

|| Gods ||

The ultimate goal. To become an icon of nature itself. This is your goal.

|| Demigods ||

The children of the gods. Given a small fraction of their parents' domain to watch over and influence. They cannot become gods, but they are a force in their own right. They have power from the start and they are aware of it.

|| Energy ||

Each player has three two part energy. These can either be used entirely on full tasks, such as hunting, foraging, training, or building dens. Or these can be split and used on other tasks, of which those are up for you to decide.

|| Hunting, Prey, and Hunger ||

No matter if you're a mortal, demigod, or straight up god, while you live in the mortal plane, you need energy to keep on living. This is acquired in two ways, one being eating. So you need to get prey. Which means you need to hunt.

Gladly, Tali thought of that when making mortals. And so, you know how to hunt to some degree. But success depends on how good you are. With that in mind, not everyone will be able to eat if not enough prey is caught.

The first moon of hunger has little effect. The second, you start to starve and lose some of the vital energy you need to do tasks. The third moon... you die.

|| Foraging and its Uses ||

Foraging is a vital part of the Seekers existence. It allows them to gather sticks, bark, and vines so they can build their dens, to sleep and give them their other vital source of energy.

Dens are made from 10 of these assorted resources, being able to house two cats. If you use more resources, a larger den can be made. Building upon an old den can be risky, as you risk it falling down from not being able to handle the modifications.

Sleeping functions like eating. The first moon you miss it, you will be tired. The second, you will be exhausted and lose vital energy. The third... you will perish from sleep deprivation.

Huh...? Healing? Herbs? You must be joking, that's an act only Tali can achieve.

|| Training ||

Tali encourages learning. To become better, to learn how to be ready for the world and all it has to throw at you. No matter if you do it with a friend ( +.5) or on your own (+.25). You must learn. It is vital to your survival.

|| Attacks? Events? Patrolling? ||

What are those? Nothing can hurt us in the valley!

Right?

|| Injuries and Sickness ||

Things don't always go as planned. Tali will heal us though... right?

|| Death and Rejoining ||

Death is inevitable. It cannot be avoided. Death claims us all eventually. You can rejoin on the waiting list though!
