The planet, Inülia, was in grave peril. The planet was at war with itself. Half the people against the Royal family, the other half with the family.
The King and Queen, of the once paradise like planet, were now weak and on the verge of death. They stood, grimly, over an escape pod as the war raged on outside. Inside sound asleep was the princess. Only three weeks old and half way hidden behind a blanket. A golden necklace with her name on it hung around her neck. A long red ribbon wrapped lightly around her small waist.
The King was able to send off the pod just before they both collapsed and died five minutes later holding each other.
The Princess raced through space. After zooming past ten different solar system, she awoke refreshed and relaxed. Not knowing what was happening, she laughed as she entered the atmosphere of another planet.
Looking at the clouds and continents, she sucked on the necklace, hungry and now bored. She slipped out of consciousness before she felt the impact of the pod in a feild of corn.
Not two minutes later, the door was forced open. The princess laughed to see such strange things. The humans looked at the pale pink alien, shock and excitement filled the woman. She quickly picked up the girl and spun her into the air, making the baby laugh. The laugh sounded like bells and made the woman laugh too. Wanting to keep the strange baby, the woman hugged the Princess.
"Annie! We can't keep her. We don't know what she is," the farmer said, reading his wife's face.
"Please, James. We can't have kids. You know that," Annie said hugging the baby tighter.
"We can adopt. A HUMAN," James remarks.
The baby, understanding everything but not talking, raised her hand to see her pink hand. Slowly, it turned a nice tanned color.
Annie laughed at the alien in her arms while James groaned, knowing he wasn't going to win.
"Fine, but she's your responsibility. Not mine," he says looking at the name tag, "Ridiculous name." He says stomping off into the corn feild.
Annie takes the tag and reads it, "Welcome home, Nevermore."
