EP.45|That Shitty Father And Mother

Jasper sat on the roof, looking at the moon. “Jasper.” A voice said, getting her attention.

“Go back to sleep, blueberry. It’s late.” Jasper said, the said “Blueberry” looked at Jasper. He hadn’t slept in weeks. Ever since she found his notebook, he’s been so shut off. All she saw were two pages.

“I’ll go if you come with me.” Evie looked at the ground, Jasper stood quiet. “I need to be alone.” Jasper sighed. “...That’s what I thought so too but…” Evie sighed. “Your not okay.” She added.

“Your eyes are cold, Jasper. You’re avoiding us, the VK’s, Ben, and me. All you do is train but you barely sleep or eat. You’re hurting yourself. It feels almost like you’re slipping away…. It scares me you’re allowing whatever is bothering you conse you. If you only talked to me about it. Maybe-” Evie was then cut off.

“Nothing is wrong! Stop this shit! You’re so damn stubborn!” Jasper yelled. “I told you to leave me alone.” Jasper growled.

“STUPID JASPER!!! I’M WORRIED ABOUT YOU, DON'T YOUR SEE?!!” Evie yelled, roundhouse kicking him. “W-What the hell was that kick for, you demon?!!” Jasper scolded. “Shut up stupid! I had enough!!” Evie yelled.

“Ugh, if you can't talk to me about it then at least talk to the boys! But don't close your heart, Jasper…” Evie muttered the last part, but Jasper heard it. I beg of you Evie whimpered a bit, looking at him, hoping he would say something. “I’m going in then.” Evie sighed.

“I hate it! I hate looking so vulnerable and weak to you!” Jasper growled as Evie stopped in her tracks.

“If you can already see it then I’m doing a poor job at hiding it. There’s just too much shit I can’t stop thinking about...trying to understand how I feel is driving me mad, Evie.” Jasper groaned, moving some of his hair back.

“My aunt tried to reach me all those years and I never understood until she was gone. The place I was getting used to calling home is now gone and I can’t wrap my head around it. Worst of all? I dare comfort a child like my cousin when I can’t even deal with my own baggage. So pathetic.” Jasper buried his head in his arm. Evie started crying silently.

“And that shitty father… To think he was always close...he saw me at my worst and he didn’t do shit! All I wanted was a sign…” Jasper could feel his tears falling.

“Shit! Why did he leave?! It’s like he didn’t give a shit about me! All these years chasing his shadow...but he never saw me as his son!” Jasper cried as Evie crouched down in front of him.

“He did. I’m sure of it.” Evie assured him. “He sacrificed himself for your sake, Jasper. His life was devoted to you.” Evie said, Jasper’s had resting on her shoulder. “Your father, Jafar, loved you deeply.” Evie whispered.

Why is it...that only...her words and touch...can soothe my heart this way? Jasper felt the way her heart beats the same time as his. Thank you, Evie. Jasper smiled.

Freddie and Zeref laid in bed, eating a bowl of cherries. Zeref looked at her balance the cherry on her tongue as she slowly swirled her tongue around her, putting it back into her mouth.

Damn...why the hell is she her hot! Zeref blushed a little. “You really like these cherries huh?” Zeref asked, although the answer was obvious. She nodded. “Hey, Zeref. Wanna see something amazing?” Freddie smirked. “What do you mean?” Zeref asked.

“Just keep your eyes on me.” Freddie then placed another cherry on her tongue. Zeref stared at her cheeks moving inside her mouth.

She opened her mouth to reveal a cherry stem not sitting on her tongue. “Ta-da! A cherry knot!” Freddie smiled. “What?! H-how did you do that?! L-Let me try it!” Zeref stammered making Freddie burst out into laughter.

“Just tell me how you did it!”

“Hey! Stop laughing answer me, Freddie!”

“Hahaha...your face...it’s just...hahaa!” Freddie laughed. “Hey!” “You’re just so serious about it and I just…!” Freddie kept laughing. “Stop laughing already!” Zeref scolded. “I’m sorry, Zeref. I’ve calmed down now…Do you want to see something even more amazing?” Freddie smirked. “What are you gonna do now?” Zeref asked as Freddie grabbed another cherry, putting it in her mouth.

“Come here.” Freddie pulled Zeref in close. “It’s a little trick that goes like this.” She kissed Zeref passionately, their tongues fighting for dominance. Eventually, they both gave out and both gasped for breath. Zeref stared into her eyes, his eyes filled with lust and love. Kissing again, he pinned Freddie to the bed, removing one hand to place it on her chest making Freddie moan thru the kiss. After then intense makeout session, Freddie sat on top of his chest. “Hey Zeref, isn't your woman super cool?” Freddie stuck out her tongue, revealing the cherry knot.

“Dammit Freddie! I was so into that kiss! And you were just playing?!” Zeref groaned, his face was red as Freddie laughed. “I was teasing you for a change.” Freddie chuckled, laying on his chest.

“You should learn to compliment me more often and tell me I’m a good kisser.” Freddie chuckled. Freddie was shock. “...and I’m not gonna repeat that again, once is enough.” Zeref scoffed. “N-No, say it again, please! I’ll record it this time!” Freddie pouted.

“No! Stop it Freddie!” Zeref chuckled. “Ahh~ Zeref! I love it when you show me your cute side.” Freddie smiled.

~VK~

“I don't wanna see her!” Mal yelled, holding onto the headrest as the VK’s, and Ben, struggled to pull her off. “We have to go see your mother Mal! You need to mend the relationship!” Ben pulled her legs. “I don't want to mend the relationship with my mother!” Mal whined. “She’s gonna be Ben’s mother-in-law, shouldn’t you at least have Ben meet her?” CJ suggested as Mal nodded, letting go of the headrest.

“Your right CJ, Ben should meet my mother. He can see first hand how bad she is and I’ll never have to see her again.” Mal smirked, muttering the last part. “Mal, your mother isn't probably that bad.” Ben guessed as they both put on their sweaters. “Fine, but when this goes down in flames, don't blame me.” Mal scoffed as the 2 walked out of the school.

“Mal, it won't go down in flames.” Ben said as the two got in Evie’s car. “Mmhm.” Mal rolled her eyes. He’ll never understand, will he? Mal sighed. “Ben, you’re a hero, and even though there is no reason we should visit my mother because she probably won't even show up at the wedding, you still wanna fix something that never can be fix.” Mal stated.

“You need to talk to your mother again, she probably misses you.” Ben rested his hand on her shoulder. “Yeah, I guess.” Mal muttered as the car stopped in front of a dark ominous castle. “This is her house. Well, castle.” Mal observed as the two walked towards the gate to be stopped by a gargoyle. “Name.” He asked in a monotone voice, looking down at his paper. “It’s me, stone man.” Mal smirked as the gargoyle looked up to see Mal.

“Miss Mal! Welcome home.” He bowed. “I told you, you don't need to do that.” Mal chuckled as the gargoyle looked behind Mal to see Ben. Suddenly, all these weapons appeared from the gate, all aiming at Ben.

“Woah, woah, woah. He’s with me.” Mal stood in front of Ben, showing the security camera the ring. “Stand down!” The gargoyle yelled as the weapons disappeared, the gates opened allowing the two to walk in.

“See, that wasn’t so bad.” Ben said shivering. “Mhm, your shivering like a chiwawa.” Mal chuckled, the two entering the castle. “Welcome back Malena.” The butler bowed. “Jeeves!” Mal cheered, tackling the said Jeeves into a hug.

Jeeves takes on the appearance of a tall, handsome adult with black hair, red eyes, and pale skin. He dresses in a butler's outfit, which consists of black trousers, a six-button double-breasted tailcoat, and a gray vest. He has the Maleficent crest on his shirt cuffs and tie. Jeeves also sports white gloves, a pocket watch, and a chained silver lapel pin bearing the Maleficent crest, traditionally worn by the house's head butler.

“Jeeves here is the house butler. Me and him would play all the time.” Mal smiled, getting off the floor. “You’re Ben, yes?” Jeeves asked. “You know who I am?” Ben asked.

“Yes, Mal writes about you in the letters she sends me. Congrats on the engagement by the way.” Jeeves replied. “Thanks Jeeves.” Mal smile grew. “Does your mother know you're here?” Jeeves asked as Mal shook her head.

“Ben decided it be good to “Mend the relationship” with mom.” Mal said, Jeeves knew she didn’t want to do this, but it was the best for both Maleficent and Mal. “She’s in the study, with Haydn.” Jeeves said as Mal and Ben walked up to the study. “Haydn?” Ben asked.

“My step-father, he’s really nice, unlike some people in my family.” Mal scoffed, referencing to Maleficent. Mal knocked on the study door before opening it to reveal Maleficent and Haydn kissing.

“Ah-hem! Mother!” Mal fake coughed, Maleficent looked at Mal as pushed Haydn off of her and quickly hugged Mal tightly.

Maleficent appears in the form of a tall, slender, beautiful, warm ivory skinned woman with a narrow face and a prominent chin. She also has yellow eyes and black horns, which is symbolic of her dark magic.

She is clad in a black-and-purple robe with bat wing-like edges, underneath her robe, she wears a dress with the same color pallet but with some red instead of purple, and wears a gold ring with a large mysterious circular black stone in it. Both the horned headdress and bat wing-like robe represent and foreshadow her dragon form.

“Malley! You came back!” Maleficent gushed. “I guess I missed you too.” Mal muttered under her breathe. “How I missed you so much!” Maleficent added. “Maleficent, you kinda need to let her breathe.” Haydn chuckled.

Haydn was a handsome, well-dressed man with short bluish-black hair, blue eyes, and a beauty mark under his left eye.

“Right.” Maleficent chuckled, letting go of Mal. “Oh, who is this?” Maleficent asked, pointing to Ben. “He’s a friend.” Mal answered, cutting off Ben before he could answer. “So how is school?” Mal asked, the four sitting in the study. “Fine.” Mal answered, drinking tea. “Talk to her.” Haydn muttered. “I am.” Maleficent muttered back.

“Why didn’t you tell her we’re married?” Ben asked, muttering. “Trust me, this is for the best, we have to start slow. She’ll freak out if she find out off the bat.” Mal mutter back.

Both Ben and Haydn looked at each other, they both knew what they were trying to do. They nodded silently. “So, I’m gonna catch up with Ben.” Haydn said as they both got up. “You two should be fine on your own yes?” Ben asked as Mal and Maleficent both glared at the two. I swear once I’m done here I’m gonna kill you. The two women thought.

“Well have fun.” Haydn winked as they closed the door behind them.

“Nice weather we’re having.” Mal noted. “Yep, supposed to rain on Saturday.” Maleficent added. “I see you upgrade the study.” Mal observed. “Yeah, Haydn did it for our anniversary.” Maleficent said.

It was silent between the two for about 5 minutes.

Untill.

“Why are you engaged to a hero?” Maleficent asked. “We’re not engaged.” Mal denied. “You have the ring on, and I saw the paper.” Maleficent shortly explained. “Fine, yes Mom, me and Ben are engaged. Ben thought it be good to meet his future Mother-in-law.” Mal explained.

“I see, so when I told you when you were little not to friend, let alone marry, a H.K did that just go in one ear and out the other?” Maleficent asked. “Here we go, you’re always being so trivial.” Mal scoffed.

“I’m trivial?! You’re the one who’s marrying a hero! After everything I taught you!” Maleficent shouted. “Really, taught me? When the damn hell did you teach me anything? Cause, I remember learning everything from Jeeves and Haydn.” Mal said, standing up.

“That’s not the point! You don't understand Mal! I’m trying to protect you!” Maleficent shot back.

“Protect me? How?! By not letting me be with the man I love?! You call that protecting?!” Mal yelled.

“Yes! You may love this guy but that doesn't mean you love this guy!” Maleficent growled. “What sense does that make!” Mal yelled, getting in her face.

“Perfect sense! He is dangerous! You may not see it know, but I do!” Maleficent warned her. “Dangerous?! The man is literally the opposite of dangerous! He doesn't even squash a fly when it’s bugging him. He catches it in a glass and lets it go. For gods sakes he might be a woman trapped in a man's body!” Mal flung her hands in the air.

“So! That might just be the cover! Stop being blinded by his cover Mal! You need to unclouded your eyes and see that truth! He’s dangerous!” Maleficent lowered her voice, clutching Mal’s shoulders. “You know what mom. Maybe your the one who’s dangerous!” Mal yelled.

“I’m not dangerous!” Maleficent yelled. “Really? Your fucking called the Mistress of All Evil!” Mal stated. “And I’m proud of that! But apparently you're not! You didn’t even tell me you were engaged! I had to find out by the newspaper and Esther!” Maleficent scolded.

“I’m very happy about being a VK but it seems like your not happy that I’m your VK!” Mal yelled. “It’s like you hate me!” Mal added.

“I don't. It’s just-” Maleficent started tearing up. “Just what? What Maleficent! What?!” Mal yelled, coming closer to Maleficent. “You smiled!” Maleficent yelled.

“What?” Mal asked, lowering her voice. “Sit down.” Maleficent sighed as they both sat down. “It all started the day you were born.” Maleficent narrated.

Maleficent sat up on the hospital bed, breathing heavily, sweat running down her face. “Just one more push.” Stefan, her husband, calmly said as Maleficent squeezed his hand tightly. Maleficent heard crying as she sighed in relief, laying back on the bed.

“It’s a girl.” The nurse said, wrapping up the baby in blankets. “She’s beautiful.” Maleficent cried into Stefan’s chest.

“Great job honey.” Stefan smiled. “Do you wanna carry her?” The nurse asked as Maleficent looked at the baby and back at her hands. “Get me my gloves.” Mal said as Stefan looked at her weirdly.

“Why?” Stefan asked. “Just do it. Please.” Maleficent whimpered as Stefan passed her her gloves. Maleficent put on the gloves as the nurse passed her the baby.

“Hi cutie.” Maleficent voice was shaky. “Freeze.” Maleficent chanted as everybody, except the baby and Maleficent, froze. “If I can just enchant my entire persona unto this baby...I can finally part ways with the accursed body for good!” Maleficent smirked.

“I’ve waited years...all for this moment. Now then… you shall become my vessel!” Maleficent cackled. “Just leave her alone...she’s only a baby…” Maleficent cried as the baby smiled at her. “Why are you smiling…” Maleficent’s voice was shaky.

“I endure this pain and suffering for years, didn’t I?! I mustn’t waver! This is my natural right! This child is mine and mine alone! I can do with it what I please, can I not?!” Maleficent yelled as the baby smiled again.

“Stop smiling!” Maleficent cried. “I can’t do this. Y-you...you’re a baby...how could I forget that...this act...must not be forgive...I hope you don't remember this…what am I doing… I almost hurt you…” Maleficent sobbed as time unfroze.

“Maleficent? What’s wrong?” Stefan asked. “She’s so pure...and I’m not...she has your hair...and your eyes...and your nose… she’s pure like you.” Mal sobbed harder.

“Yes, but she also has attributes of you too. She had you eyelashes, and your skin tone, and your hands.” Stefan said, rubbing her back soothingly. “No, no...she can’t have my hands...she can't be tainted like I am…” Maleficent shook her head.

“She won’t be...your not tainted and neither is she… just look...she okay.” Stefan assured her. “Sh-she is?” Maleficent body shook in fear.

“But, what about you and her? What if when she grows up she becomes un-pure? Like me? I don't want that for her.” Maleficent sobbed loudly. “Can I talk to her? Alone?” Stefan asked as the nurses left the room.

“Maleficent, she gonna be okay. Your not tainted, you just had a troubled past. We all do.” Stefan said, kissing her lips gently. “But you’re not.” Maleficent muttered.

“I am. But that doesn't mean you have to be afraid of holding our daughter. Look at her, she’s you and me.” Stefan said as Maleficent looked at the smiling baby.

“Please, don't smile at me…” Mal sighed as the baby reached out for her. “See, she loves you.” Stefan observed as Mal nodded.

“I will not ask your forgiveness. Because what I’ve done to you is unforgivable. I was so lost in hatred and revenge... Sweet Malena, you stole what was left of my heart. I swear, no harm will come to you, as long as I live, and not a day shall pass that I don’t miss your smile.”

~VK~

Mal looked at her mother, tears streaming down both of their faces. “I’m so sorry, Malena.” Maleficent sobbed.

“No, I should be sorry. For years I thought you hated me, but you actually love me.” Mal sobbed into her mother’s shoulder.

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you I was getting married the second I put the ring on. Your my mom, you should've been the first one I told.” Mal sobbed harder.

“It’s okay.” Maleficent then noticed she wasn't wearing the gloves. She looked at Mal who was smiling, tears still falling.

“You’re not tainted?” Maleficent sobbed. “I may be, but so are you, like Stefan said, were not tainted, we just had a troubled past.” Mal recited.

“Mal.” Maleficent started. “Yes?” Mal asked. “Can I come to the wedding?” Maleficent asked. “Of course!” Mal sobbed.
