EP.69|The Wedding Ceremony (PART 2)

“Malena. You’ve grown so much.” Mal’s father, no not Haydn, the real one. “D-Da-Dad?” Mal stammered as he came in for a hug.

He was a tall, muscular man with shoulder-length slick back  and a stubble beard. His heavily muscular body is without a left arm and left leg, that were replaced with metal prosthetics, completed with an armored knee-guard to function as the knee joint.

His attire is rather simple; he wears a long, black, high-collared and tattered cloak with shoulder plates; around his waist is a simple belt. He also wear loose-fitting dark pants, complete with an armored waist-guard bearing plates similar to the ones on his shoulders, tucked inside simple boots

“H-how...Wh-Why?...” Mal muttered as he hugged Mal tighter.

“I...um...MOM!!!” Mal yelled as Maleficent rushed outside. “What’s wrong?! Where’s Milton?!” Maleficent quickly ran outside, locking eyes with the man. “Malena, go back to the temple.” Maleficent ordered. “But…” “Now, Malena!” Maleficent roared as Mal quickly nodded. Running back to the temple.

“What are you doing here, Stefan?” Maleficent asked rudely. “What? A father can’t give his only daughter away?” Stefan replied. “No, you can’t, I’m giving Mal away. No you.” Maleficent stated. “Mal already has a dad, one who is actually there for her, she had enough stress as it is. She doesn't need to add you to the list.” Maleficent added.

“But I’m her father-” “No your not! Haydn is!” Maleficent yelled. “Was Haydn in that delivery room when you gave birth to Mal? Was Haydn the one who held your hair back when you had morning sickness? Was Haydn the one who would hold you when you had nightmares? Hmm?” Stefan asked smugly.

“But at least Haydn didn’t scare me permanently!” Maleficent shot back. “Still using that excuse? I told you time and time again I was sorry!” Stefan replied. “Are you though? Do you even remember what you did to me and my family?!” Maleficent yelled as Stefan avoided eye contact with him.

“Maleficent...please…let me explain…” Stefan looked down. “This is an important day, it would be very good for Mal if I’m back in her life, and we have to at least talk about it.” Stefan sighed.

“Sorry, you lost your chance to talk about it when you walked out of me and Mal’s life!” Maleficent shot back.

“Your leaving now.” Maleficent stated. “But I’m Mal’s father. We can’t just give up that for what is clearly just a man who is side hoe!” Stefan yelled, he wanted to take it back.

“Pause.” “No pause! That “Side hoe” is Mal’s father! You’re leaving now.” Maleficent gritted her teeth. “But she’s my daughter too…” “You’re leaving now!” “Baby, can you just…?” “You’re leaving now! Don't you get it?! You went behind my back. You hurt me!”
“Your being selfish Maleficent!”
“You killed my sister!”
Mal quickly closed the door, her back leaning up against it. “Mal, your breathing heavily again.” Evie noticed. “Evie! Binoculars! Now!” Evie passed Mal her binoculars.

“That’s him alright…” She sighed. “Who?” Freddie asked. “That’s my father…” Mal shuttered. “Alright, let your mom take care of your dad. You need to get your hair done.” Evie the pulled up a chair.

“Huh?” Mal asked. “Yeah, according to Ben, it’s a tradition to weave crystal in your hair.” CJ said as Giselle walked in. “So, where the bride.” Giselle smiled as Mal chuckled a bit. “Giselle, are you sure you know how to do this?” Mal asked.

“Yes, I’ve done this 4 times. I know what to do. Believe me, you’re gonna look beautiful.” Giselle said as she grabbed the bowl of crystals.

There was then a knock at the door. Evie opened it to see it was Jasper. “Hey babe.” Evie smiled, pecking his lips. “Hey blueberry.” Jasper cupped Evie’s face, kissing her passionately.

“Jasper...we’re in public.” Evie reminded him, her face turning red. “Aww come on, you’ve been working all day. Take a break.” Jasper whispered.

“I can’t especially when the wedding is is 4 hours.” Evie said as Jasper sighe, accepting defeat, she knew there was no talking her out of it.

Mal quickly got up from her seat and rushed to the boy’s room.

“BEN BEASTLY!!!” Mal kicked down the door. “Oh shit.” Zeref muttered. “What is he doing here?!” Mal yelled. “Well why don't we let him into the temple and explain.” Ben suggested. “I don't wanna see him! Get rid of him!” Mal ordered. “Mal, let it go, it’s been 12 years now, I think this grudge has gone on long enough.”

“Him being in my life brings me nothing but stress. It’s easier if he stays dead to me.” Mal said. “Look Mal, I supported you when Briar was dead to you. I even understood when your mom was dead to you. I’ve supported you thru all these people, but it’s your father, okay? Can we atleast let him go to the reception?” Ben asked, trying to change the female demon’s mind.

“No.” Mal glared at him. “Mal, please, I can't ask him to leave his own daughter’s wedding.” Ben said. “You don't need to ask. Tell him it’s super important that he be there. In less than two minutes, he’ll be in some island marrying some hoe and having kids.” Mal growled loudly, she hated this man with a passion.

“Maybe he was trying to protect you.” Ben suggested. “No, that’s what Maleficent did, working two jobs to finally buy off the castle. That man broke my heart everyday for 19 years!” Tears formed in Mal’s eyes.

“He’s your family, and I’m sorry but I just don't neglect family.”

“Oh really? Remember when before we were dating, you would always go to those stupid family dinners every sunday!” Mal shot back. “I’m sorry but that’s weird.” Mal scoffed. “A family should be that close, and I want our future family to be that close too. And that includes your father.” Ben stated.

“I can believe you’re taking his side! Let me be clear. That man will never set foot in our lives, ever!” Mal stated. “Your father had made some mistakes in the past, but he’s changed. He moved back to the city. He has a job. He even isn't in a mountain of debt anymore.” Ben tried to reason with her.

“Wait, how do you know all of this?” Mal asked. “Body language…?” Ben’s voice was unsure. “Okay we had a drink last week.” Ben narrated.

Ben sat in the local pub with Stefan. “I miss her so much. My little dragon princess. Does she talk about me?” Stefan asked, taking a sip of his beer. “Yeah, all the time, she tells this story of this one time…” “So never huh?” “She has your face on a dart board.” Ben sighed as Stefan sweatdropped.

“But it doesn't have to be like that. I mean if Mal and Maleficent can make up why can’t you two.” Ben rubbed his back. “It’s a long story kid. You wouldn't understand.” Stefan chugged down his beer, slamming it on the counter.

“I always thought I would be invited to the wedding, I even wrote a speech, But then, no invite. Heck, I haven’t even seen a engagement photo.” Stefan sighed.

“And right before my eyes, your father broke down in tears.” Ben continued as Carlos scoffed. “It was really Ben who started crying.” Carlos chuckled.

“Stop it! You're coming to the wedding!” Ben sobbed.

“YOU INVITED HIM?!?!” Mal roared. “The poor man was sobbing. What could I do? The bartender called him a girl, what I found very mean.” Ben stated. “I don't care! What gives you the right to invite him!” Mal yelled. “Me and you are about to get married. So that means he part of my family too.” Ben stated as Mal stormed out of the room.

“I said I was sorry for Jessie’s death! Why can’t you forgive me?” Stefan lowered his voice. “Stefan, you knew how much Jessie meant to me! She was my little sister! I was permanently scarred, seeing the blood of my sister splattered everywhere! I couldn't let Mal go thru the pain I went thru so I made it seem like I killed her myself, in Mal’s memories all she remembers is me knocking Jessie into a wall and being carried to the hospital and then the furnal. Mal resented me for years, I still haven’t told her the truth!”

“I don't need Mal finding out the truth, she doesn't need to witness the horror I saw. So please, for Mal’s sake and mines, leave now.” Mal sat down on the bench. “I’m not leaving Maleficent, I have as much right as anyone to see Mal get married.” Stefan scolded

“No, you don't! You left her and me! You hurt me! I was broken for years!” Maleficent felt tears forming in her eyes. “Cause if you forgot…” Maleficent took off her cape, revealing her wings with bullet holes in them.

“Maleficent...I’m so sorry…” Stefan cried, holding Maleficent in his arms. She forgot how warm his arms were, just like summer. “I’m sorry...so sorry…” Maleficent felt his tears rolling down her back. She looked into his crying eyes, she remember how he would always cry when he saw Maleficent having a nightmare.

Stefan cupped Maleficent’s face. “Stefan…” Maleficent breath hitched. “Oh Maleficent…” Stefan whispered as his lips got closer to her’s.

“But...I...hu-hus-husband…” Maleficent stammered. “Who? Haydn? He can go fuck himself.” Stefan growled as he kissed her, Maleficent kissed back, weaving her hands thru his hair. “Oh Stefan…” Maleficent smiled, her face was flushed.

“Better than Haydn huh?” Stefan smirked, she couldn't deny that smirk. She loved the way his lips felt against him. “Kiss me again dammit!” Maleficent yelled as she pulled Stefan down into a kiss.
