*1-Adrien POV*

After class finished and I spent most of that class daydreaming about My Lady, Nino and I walk down to our design class where we were met by our strictest teacher in the school. We took our seats and starting chatting about how Nino was DJ-ing am this party on Saturday. He seemed really excited but all I could think was being able to see My Bugaboo tonight on our patrol.

I unknowingly sigh as I sit down in my physics class seat and just as I was about to think about Ladybug, Nino notices my actions and immediately breaks my train of thought. "So who is it? " Nino asks whilst leaning on the desk and I just shake my head. "Come on dude you gotta tell me. I'm your best friend."

"I can't my dear friend." I say with a chat smirk whipped on my face. I look up to the door seeing that most of our classmates are arriving and I watch a certain bluenette walk into class with a smile only to be washed away a look of.....confusion? She looked me dead in the eye and all she wore was confusion and this is so unusual for you.

*1-Marinette POV*

I walk into class and see the most familiar face I see every night on my patrols whenever Chat flirts with me. I hadn't realized that he looked so much like Chat. I push the thought away and continue on to my desk. Alya still talking about Ladybug being in our school.

Our design ma'am enters the classroom and immediately says," Class, class calm down and sited down you're late." We immediately whip out our books and begin class. "Okay so I assume that you have all seen your on your assessment calendar that you guys have a project due in 2 weeks. It'll be on your most recent work in classes, formal ball wear." She says with an excited smile as she remembers how this project was a success last year. "This will be a group project that you will do in pairs." And I look over to Alya and she a lit up to a smile. "I will however put you into pairs myself to avoid conflict between learners." And as she said this Alya's smile disappears.

"Alya!" I loud whisper over to my friend sitting next to me, "What if she puts me with Chloé? I can't be with her she'll make me do all the work!" Alya gives me a small smile and a small chuckle and responds.

"Mari calm down I'm sure you won't be put you with Chloé, plus what if she actually puts you with Adrien?" She says with an evil smirk.

Ma'am continues with her instructions about the project,"Well let's see.....so I'll put Rose and Kim, Chloé and Nathaniel, Max and......." She looked around the class, " ahh!... Sabrina, Alya and Nino, Adrien and...... Marinette......" And that's when I stopped listening. I froze. Did she really just pair me with Adrien? I looked to Alya and she girls me the biggest smile I have ever seen on her face. And we start to fan girl as we were both more than happy with the partners ma'am put us with.

When I turn back to the teacher with a smile spread across my face when I come face to face with the familiar pools of green for the second time today. I jump from the surprise and my heart begins to race as he starts speaking, "So partner, when should we begin?"He says with that smile I saw that familiar Chat smile on his face. As the words rolled off his lips I almost fainted or maybe my heart skipped a beat or two.

I stay frozen right there on the spot while Alya and Adrien watch and wait for my response but I can't do anything but stay there in that position still drowning in those deep pools of green that I could get lost anytime, any day in. Alya broke my intense staring by elbowing my in my ribs and I let out a loud whisper shriek of pain. My response doesn't help the situation anyway that the elbowing did, " I-I-I you T-T-T-think Saturday O-Over come." I mess up again for the second time today and this time had to make it up. This time no one will mess this up for me, so I took a breathe and replied, "I think you should come over on this Saturday." He gives me a small smile.

"Sure sounds like plan, but let's see exactly what this project is about." He says before turning around to face the teacher. She continues to explain about the project and how we need to create matching outfits for a suit and tie event that will be hosted by the Mayor Bourgeois at Le Grand Paris hotel.

"This project seems like it might be the best thing that happens to me." I think to myself.

"What was that?" Alya asks. I then realize that I said it out loud.

"Oh nothing."

"Oh and well done on saying a sentence to Adrien with out any stuttering" she says whilst giving a small soft clap for me. I just blush slightly.

A/N : And there's chapter 2, yes I know how clique can I get. I'm so sorry but I just think this is the cutest way for the story to begin and there might be a slight possible chance that there could be action the chapter or maybe the one after that but well soon find out. Btw I wrote this chapter whilst watching Rock of Ages 🤘🏼
