(Mabel's P.O.V.)

(Tuesday, June 16th, 2015)(Piedmont High, Piedmont, California)

It had been a few minutes since I had left Mr. Harris and Dipper. I was beginning to feel worried.

Was everything ok? Did Dipper do something wrong? Was Mr. Harris yelling at him? I've never heard him yell before. Was he even capable of yelling? If he was, what did it sound like?

"Hey! Mabel!"

I turned away from my locker to face the sound of the noise.

It was Chad.

"Wonderful," I muttered under my breath. "Just what I need."

He grinned as he approached me.

"Hey, Baby. You're looking bangin' today."

Really, Chad? Really? This was a new low, even for him.

"Thanks," I said with fake gratitude. "No one has ever said that to me before."

Because no one is as much of a creepy, pedophilic jerk-face as him.

Dipper emerged from Mr. Harris' room a few moments later. Dismay immediately washed over his face as he saw me.

"So," Chad continued, "are you doing anything this Friday night? My basketball team's got a game here at 7 and it'd be awesome if you could come."

"Oh? That's...interesting."

I tried to think of a good excuse to get out of it.

Dipper crept up behind Chad and tried to sneak past him.

"Excuse me, Mabel?" He asked quietly. "I think the bus is going to be here soon."

Chad turned back to face him.

"Shut up, Dip-shit," he spat. "We're having a conversation."

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa.

No one talks to my brother like that. Not while I'm here.

"What did you just say to him?!"

"I told him to shut up. Are you deaf?!"

I folded my arms across my chest.

"Listen, Chad," I began. "I was going to be nice and come up with an excuse as to why I can't go out with you, but I'll tell you the truth."

He squinted his eyes in confusion.

"You're a jerk."

He was taken aback.

"What did you just say to me?"

"I said you're a jerk. Are you deaf?!" I sassed.

"Ooh," exclaimed Ann, who had apparently been standing right next to Dipper. "You just got burned."

Dipper turned to face her.

"How long have you been standing there?"

"I was waiting for you outside of Mr. Harris' room."

He paused.

"That's creepy."

She looked down at the floor in shame.

"Yeah."

Chad looked back at me.

"How dare you say that?!"

He leaned in close to my face.

"I'm going to make your brother's life a living hell."

Dipper laughed.

"And that's different from any other day, how exactly?"

Chad slammed his fist against the locker and stormed off.

"Thanks, Ma-" Dipper began.

I cut him off and pulled him into a big hug.

"Anytime, broseph."

I felt another body join us. I opened my eyes to find that Ann was tightly squeezing Dipper like an anaconda sucking the life out of its prey.

"GROUP HUG!!!" She yelled.

Dipper gulped.

"Please leave."

She let go of Dipper and grinned.

"Is that better?"

He smiled, for real this time.

"Perfect."

She bounced down the hallway.

"Toodles!"

The two of us enjoyed our embrace for another few seconds, before breaking away.

"By the way, I was serious about the bus being here," Dipper urged me. "It's probably going to leave without us."

I quickly grabbed my backpack off of the floor and began to sprint down the hall.

"C'mon!" I shouted after him. "Let's go!"

He slung his over his shoulder and raced after me.

"MYSTERY TWINS," he screamed, "UNITE!!!"
