Mabel watched as Dipper stood in front of Gideon.

"Making a deal with a certain triangle isn't as difficult as it might seem. Especially when you make a deal to get out of prison in exchange for something else. A...favor."

"A favor?"

Gideon nodded, not even bothering clarifying for Dipper what the favor was. "That's when I bumped into a group of monsters. They said they were searching for a boy and so, I decided to help them. But who knew you would show up to the show."

Dipper dropped his head, trying to make sense of the whole thing. Finally, he looked up again, hearing a familiar voice break the silence.

"Star!" Marco's voice echoed from the glass case.

He clenched his fists in his shackles and tried to shake them free. Star witnessed her best friend. This was not like Marco. Who was this boy that was beholded in front of her?

"M-Marco?" Star muttered, standing on the dining table.

The girl hopped slowly off the side of the table, staring at her best friend. As Star got closer to glass box, Marco wrestled with incredible strength. He leaned forward in his chair, though his cuffs held him back from getting any farther. Star put the palm of her hand on the glass. Marco, as if affected by the touch of her hand on the glass, shook and tussled more than ever.

"I can't let you do this! Don't save me! It's not worth it!"

The blonde could see Marco's tears through the glass, as well as his bruises and scratches on his knuckles and arms. Marco fixed his eyes on the beautiful blue eyes in front of him. Staring into the blue eyes, Marco's eyes turned soft and gentle. His eyebrows raised at what he found in Star's eyes: commiseration.

"...Please." He weakly squeaked.

Star's frown and tears said it all. "I'm gonna get you out of here, Marco. I'm not leaving without you."

"No, you don't understand-"

Star didn't give Marco any more time to get his words out. She already was casting a spell to blow up the case.

"No! Wait!" Marco shouted.

A thundering boom shouted through the whole room. Unfortunately, it was not enough to break Marco's trap. The glass stood as high and mighty as ever. It mocked Star with all its shining glory. But she was determined to knock it down, even if it took the rest of her life. She would not stop until Marco was free.

"Stop! Stop!" Marco repeated.

"Listen to your friend, Princess." Toffee insisted. "It's going to take unimaginable force to break that glass. I suggest you save yourself the trouble and give me what I want." He gestured to the wand, still glowing wildly in Star's hand.

She stared down at her wand, her mouth in a frown. She tensed her muscles, coming up with some way to save Marco.

"I tried to warn you, Star." Marco went on. "Don't do this."

Star, however, didn't have time to listen to his chattering. She tightened her grip on her wand, her eyes hard and strict.

"Watch me." She finally said.

Star closed her eyes, feeling the magic from her wand like it was flowing through her veins. Dipper, Gideon, Mabel, Toffee, and even all the monsters stood by to observe. No monster dared to get in her way.

Her hair blew swiftly around and her hearts gave off a light...

Magic.

It rushed through her like blood cells. It passed through her lungs. It kept her heart beating fast. She could feel the magic of her wand go up her spine, tingling her fingers and toes, and shined brightly in the atmosphere around her whole body.

Star could feel her hearts on her cheeks heat up. As she opened her eyes, her pupils were not visible. Instead, her eyes shone magic. Dipper and Mabel backed away as if they were about to get hit by Star's attack. Toffee now sat up a bit more and his attention was caught.

Even Marco could sense it. This was, no doubt, going to be one of her most powerful spells.
