"Pines?"

No answer.

"Pines!"

No answer.

"Mabel!"

No answer, but now, just soft sobs.

It was dark in the room, so Gideon turned the lights on.

"I already got rid of the clones. It's okay now."

Mabel didn't know what to do, but her first instinct was to hug him.

She ran to him, and hugged him tightly. Who cares if he was wet? Mabel needed a person to hug, and she'd get a person to hug!

"Thanks for saving me."

She's been through a lot, this winter.

Gideon felt very uncomfortable in this situation. He wanted to shout, "Ew don't touch me," but he didn't.

He asked out of nowhere, "Why were you crying?"

"I've just been through a lot of things," she sighed, and let go.

He put his hands in his vests' pockets. "Can we be friends?"

"Of course," she replied.

"I still hate you though, you're working with Pacifica," she added, giggling, while wiping her tears off.

"The feeling is mutual, Pines. You ruined my vest, and your brother ruined my reputation.

"Let's just keep the friends-thing a secret," Gideon decided.

Mabel got an idea. "Hey, Gideon? Did you know Natasha Northwest actually wasn't the founder of Gravity Rises?"

"WHAT---"

Mabel gasped, to disrupt him. "THE PARTY!"

"What about it?"

She looked to the door. "Wouldn't they get suspicious you're gone?"

"With that party, I don't think so."

They heard some pretty loud 'epic' music start to play.

Melody announced dramatically, "AND THE PARTY KING IS..."

"I need to be there! I'll see you next time," he quickly said, and left.

Mabel smiled.

She just made a new friend.

"THE PARTY KING IS GIDEON!"

Congratulations, Gideon.

Congrats---

Dipper burst through the door. "MABEL!"

His face's color got drained from seeing Mabel's tear-stained face.

"DID GIDEON TORTURE YOU?!"

Mabel shook her head repeatedly. "No, I just found some really sad story in a book I found in this room. I think Gideon was just looking for something to clean his vest with. It got ruined."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah," she nodded. "Now, go. I need to finish this story."

He left, knowing Mabel loved reading in private.

She sat back down on the strange carpet, and grabbed the book she was reading from her jacket.

She flipped to the page she just left at, and whisper-shouted,

"WHY DID YOU LEAVE HER, FRED?!"

She wiped off some tears.

"WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!"
