I sit with my arms crossed over my chest and my legs positioned comfortably onto the top of the table. I know what my expression looks like as I make a constant effort to release it. It's the very same and familiar expression that is always apparent on Xael's face, but today, it's stuck on mine.
I was summoned to the Castiella Meeting Room at 4:00am as I was told by the cleaning woman, Ryia, that it was extremely urgent.
Although, I did not run to the meeting room as if I was some sort of obedient dog. I actually took as much time as I possibly could, trying to tie my black boots as slowly as if I were a five-year old trying to learn.
I don't want to be here, but it doesn't seem as if I have a choice.
"I have to say," I begin to speak."I am quite thrilled that you have demanded to speak with me. Would you say that you have missed our little talks?"
I stare straight at him, his ugly characteristics almost blinding.
"Persephone." The man sitting across from me spews my name as if it was painful to verbalize it.
This man is named Phillip Trancy, the extremely unpleasant, bald-headed, and egotistic headmaster of Eclipsis Academy.
The mere traces of his pale-white hair are enough to show how old this geezer really is, and anyone can easily sense his arrival based on the loud and continuous thumps of his ancient silver cane.

Phillip Trancy
Age: 47
Guardian: The Angel Raphael
Status: Stupid Headmaster

"Now what is so important that you had to summon me so early in the morning?" I spit these words at him like a snake spewing venom.
"No need for the insolent tone, Miss Cassius."
He picks up his teacup and takes a long sip, the smell alone giving away the essence of Earl Grey. He stays frighteningly silent for a long while, but sadly he again opens his lips.
"We've heard about your little rumble with Mr. Burncrost that had occurred only last morning."
I stay completely silent, I don't want to spill any more hints about what "rumbles" I've gotten into this year.
"Now, we know you and Mr. Burncrost never really were on good terms, but this particular rumble involved Gabriel!"
Trancy scoots out of his chair, which emits a very loud screech, as he walks over to me, slowly. He begins to stare down at me, as if he could read the very darkest parts of my mind.
"Guardians only appear when they predict danger against their master."
I make an immediate stupefied face.
"I know. " I breathe." I am not foolish, Trancy."
He looks more enraged than I had ever seen him, even so, he continues.
"Whenever you had previously fought with Mr. Burncrost, Gabriel had never exposed himself, obviously because he saw you as a harmless and childish obstacle that couldn't cause more trouble than a mere scratch." He spits words as he circles the velvet-ridden chair that I sit in.
I don't move an inch, my breaths remaining at their usual pace. In this way, no one can sense what fear I hold inside me.
"What exactly is the problem, Trancy?" I make complete eye-to-eye contact with his ugly purplish stained eyes.
"The problem," he almost screams. "is that a markless little girl of 16 years old is becoming stronger."
Trancy finally stops walking as he shoves his right hand onto his forehead in utter frustration.
"We need to expel your strength." He looks me straight into the depths of my soul.
"Which is why right now, you will fight for your life, by battling against my trained Guardian Raphael, or otherwise, submit to immediate death."
