Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem.
(In the name of Allah the most Gracious, the most Merciful)

Assalam u alaikum, I would like you all to know that I am not a scholar so if you find any mistake or have any confusion feel free to point out or talk about it. Jazak Allah

Today I want to discuss these two of the many amazing names of Allah which made me feel relaxed and at ease.

AR-RAHMAN and AR-RAHEEM are the names which made me discuss the beauty hidden in these letters.

AR-RAHMAN and AR-RAHEEM are derived from the Arabic word "Rahmah" which means "Mercy"

Or more specifically, "to show mercy in order to bring benefit to."

Rahmah refers to a kind of mercy which benefits the people.

Ibn-Abbas (R.A.) said, "They are two soft names, one of them is softer than the other."

AR-RAHMAN, refers to show mercy to the entire creation as a whole out at all times.

AR-RAHMAN is transient, deals with the human right now.

AR-RAHMAN is mentioned in the Quran 57 times, only six times paired with AR-RAHEEM.

"If any one does evil or wrongs his own soul but afterwards seeks Allah's forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."
(Surah An-Nisa', 110)

AR-RAHMAN, this word has no limits and boundaries as it indicates Allah's mercy to every single creation in this world. He promised to a sinner, a pious, a Muslim, a non-Muslim each of His creation for His Mercy.

AR-RAHMAN makes my heart feel so light, knowing that Allah will be showering His Mercy on us.

Have you ever considered something while Reading Surah Fatiha?

This is the first surah which describes how Allah is.

"AR-RAHMAN NIR RAHEEM"
(Surah Fatiha, ayah;2)

Allah has introduced Him to us by using these names. Not by telling us that He will be punishing us or He will be angry with us, instead He used AR-RAHMAN and AR-RAHEEM to tell us that He is the Most Merciful. He wants us to know that before thinking that our sins are so much bigger, we should know that His Merciful nature  knew no bounds.

AR-RAHMAN, not only associate with a Muslim, but also with a non-Muslim, giving us a message not to think of racism on behalf of anything.

He who creates everything in this universe and beyond this, has mentioned His mercy for the non-Muslims too, then who are we to judge them?

AR-RAHMAN spreads the message that we should show mercy to everyone, including humans and animals.

AR-RAHMAN, by study of many scholars, is known as the mercy which is temporary, as it is for Muslims and Non-Muslims both in this temporary world. That's why when we are in any difficult situation, when any of us ask Allah, or ask God, He replies immediately letting us know His love, His kindness, His powers.

In Hadees-e-Qudsi, it is narrated that Prophet (P.B.U.H) said that Allah told us, "Those who are merciful will be shown mercy from the one who is full of mercy"

(Means, if you help someone, Allah will surely help you)

Subhan Allah!

AR- RAHEEM, mentioned 114 times in the Quran, mostly in combination with AL-GHAFUR and AL-AZEEZ.

AR-RAHEEM refers to extra Rahmah specifically for the believers.

We can take the example of a class in which the teacher kept equality among all of his students, but there are some specific and brilliant students who got the teacher's favour.

"Then those who believe in Allah, and hold fast to Him,- soon will He admit them to mercy and grace from Himself, and guide them to Himself by a straight way." (4:175).

The meaning of this Qur'anic verse is so relaxing that it makes me feel great. We only have to keep our faith in Allah's decision. We should be sure before handling Him our matter that He is the best of bestest planners. In this verse, Allah has promised us that He will shower His mercy and grace, to those whose faith is with Him, those who believe in Allah's Power, for those He, the Knower of all, will guide the believer Himself and not only this but to select a straight path for us.

AR-RAHEEM, this word is so content that after it's soothness every problem felt easier to deal with.

This word AR-RAHEEM, Allah has given this word only for us only for the believers, only for those who believe in the oneness of Allah, who believe Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) is the last prophet of Allah, who believe on the Day of Judgement.

It felt so special, that Allah has specifically chosen a name for us to call Him. He could let us use only AR-RAHMAN, as it also kept the same meaning, "mercy" but Allah didn't.

Instead He gave us  Muslims a different name to call Him. How much Allah loves His followers! Subhan Allah.

Abu Huraira reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Allah created mercy in one hundred parts and He retained with Him ninety-nine parts, and He has sent down upon the earth one part, and it is because of this one part that there is mutual love among the creation so much so that the animal lifts up its hoof from its young one, fearing that it might harm it. (Sahih Muslim, book 37)

Salman Farisi reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Verily, there are one hundred (parts of) mercy for Allah, and it is one part of this mercy by virtue of which there is mutual love between the people and ninety-nine reserved for the Day of Resurrection.

(Sahih Muslim, book 37)

There goes a saying that Allah loves 70 times more than a mother loves her child.

So how can you expect Him to not answer your duas? How could you think that you being a sinner cannot be forgiven?

How could you think that your duas will never reach to Allah as there are many good people before you?

Have a mother ever shown reluctant towards her children's wishes, she may hear your late, but she never abandons you.

How could Allah, who loves 70 times more than a mother can abandon you?

Have you ever asked a dua by putting your firm belief in it? That whatever might have happened Allah is surely listening to me right now.

AR-RAHEEM, is the mercy which is for Akhirah, as narrated above in the Ahadith, Allah has 99% of mercy with him and has sent down only 1% mercy in this world.

When Allah loves you this much? Why can't you love Him back? Why can't you obey His orders? Why can't you spare your time for Allah and you expect Allah to listen to you?

May Allah guide us all towards the right path and help us increase in our love towards Him and the Prophet (P.B.U.H). Ameen
