Sunset couldn't seem to come fast enough and it seemed the Lehmkuhls outdid themselves this year for the holiday. Dragon sculptures made out of salvaged cars that actually breathe green fire... ghosts that you can walk through... decorations that seemed to come to life if you got too close... enough jack 'o lanterns to make you wonder if they bought every pumpkin in the area or if they had a garden just for tonight... the pool seemingly filled with blood... a buffet table you weren't sure was going to attack you or not but filled with food that tasted out of this world... an open bar with spooky themed drinks for those able to drink... And all of it watched over by an increasingly tipsy Chavonne who looked spectacular as always in her costume, this year going as the villain from an underrated Disney movie. Matthew never seemed too far behind as he stopped her from doing something too stupid and kept her on schedule. But no one was aware of the danger that was brewing and that would strike at midnight.
