Ezra POV three years later

I'm now 23 years old, me and my AI Mira decided to do mission solo for now on. Some people thought that I just abandoned my team...my parents. Others thought I was crazy. But the only people that didn't treat us different was my aunt Ahsoka and my friend Rex. They knew I would never abandoned mom and dad like that, so I didn't care what others thought about me and Mira. After a few successful mission, I was promoted to Lieutenant Commander. Life was easy so far but I still wished that mom and dad was still around.

I landed my ship on the planet Typhoo. Me and Mira were supposed to check on a UNSC outpost here that lost contact a week ago. "Alright I got a ping on the outpost, Northeast." Mira told me. "Lets get going" I said. I started walking in the direction Mira said and we soon later found the outpost but it was now under control by the Covenant.

"Great we're too late." Mira said. "Check any signs of human life." I told her. "Scanning.............no survivors. The Covenant are getting more ruthless." She said sadly. "Don't worry we'll think of revenge later, right now we go to plan B. Download all UNSC files and Scuttle The Outpost." I said. "Well we better be stealthy about It or we will have the entire outpost on us." Mira said. "Being stealthy takes the fun out of killing all of them." I said. "Don't worry you can still be able to kill most of them on the way but quietly." She said. I grabbed my energy sword and told her "way ahead of you." And cloaked.

I got to the outpost wall and took out two guards on the wall, I then killed a guard at a door and walked inside. I was walking through the base taking out some patrols while we were at it and made it to the control room. "Alright Mira work your magic." I said and pug her into the computer. "Alright lets see.......okay the files should take 45 seconds for me to download." She said. "Can't you make go any faster than that?" I asked. "You said you wanted all files. You never said how fast." She told me. I sighed and got out my gun to aim at anything that comes through the door. "So Ez what do you think will be our next assignment after words?" Mira asked me. "Don't know, Captain Tarkin might send us on another clean up mission." I said. "Yeah that idiot is always sending us on mission like these and we never get a 'thank you for the mission I know it was dangerous but I knew the two of you could handle it' he really doesn't like us." She said. "Well we don't like him. He's one of the people saying we abandoned our last mission." I said. Captain Tarkin was the head commanding officer of our ship and he always had a dule expression. Like he wasn't at all surprised at anything we do. Just sending us on clean up mission after his failed ones and it gets boring, but like dad always said 'enjoy the quiet while it last' his words stuck with me for years and I never had a problem with quiet, sometimes.

Suddenly the door opened and a small grunt entered the room and was shocked to see me. "Hey who are you!?" It said. I pointed my gun at it and said "someone you don't wanna piss off." The grunt looked to the right and saw an alarm button on the wall. "DON'T. EVEN. THINK ABOUT IT." I said threatenly. But it didn't listen and ran towards the button. I shot it but it's body was flying towards the button. "Ah shit. About to get loud." I said and the alarms went off in the entire base. "Mira how much longer!" I asked her. "I need 30 more seconds." She said. "Great." I said sarcastically and then Covenant soldiers started to run down the wall and towards the door. I shot down a few but they were still coming. "MIRA!" I yelled her name. "20 more seconds." She said and I still shot at some more soldiers. "15 seconds." She said and I shot at the door panel and it shut.

"Done. Pull me" Mira said. I grabbed her and put back in my helmet. "Alright what now?" She asked. "This." I said grabbing a bomb and placing it on the computer system and set it for 30 seconds. "You sure that's enough time for you?" Mira asked. "Positive." I said and activated my speed enhancement and power charged at the door and Sprinted out of the base.

We were soon at our ship and we took off watching the base go into a fiery explosion. "Well that takes care of that." Mira said. "Lets head back home."

We met up with our UNSC star cruiser The Skywalker and dock in the hangar bay. Me and Mira was met by Ahsoka and Tarkin when we got out. "Mission report." He said not wanting to have small talk. "Hello to you to." Mira mumbled. "The outpost on Typhoo was taken over by the Covenant. No survivors." I said. "Was?" He said. "Yes sir, we downloaded all UNSC files and scuttled The Outpost." I explained. He grabbed a data transfer device and handed it to me. I unplugged Mira out of my helmet so she can transfer the data over. When she was done I plugged her back in my helmet. "You are dismiss for now." Tarkin said and walked away. "You're welcome. Seriously I don't get him." Mira said to me. "Hope it wasn't too much trouble for you." Ahsoka said. "Nothing we can't handle." I told her. She placed a hand on my shoulder and said "go get some rest you both need it." And followed Tarkin.

Later

Me and Mira was in my quarters playing holo chest. "Looks like I win." She said. "You're cheating." I told her. "Hey it's not my fault I'm smart. It's in my programming." She said and smiled. Then Ahsoka walked in the door and greeted both of us. "Hey Ahsoka you got something for us?" Mira asked. She nodded and said "right now we are on our way to meet up with another UNSC fleet and once we get their you two will get a new mission. But their is a catch." She explained. "What kind of catch?" I asked. "You two will be put on a team." She answered. Me and Mira looked at each other and back at Ahsoka. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" I asked. "I know you two said you wanted to do mission by yourselves but believe me when I say that if it wasn't extremely dangerous to go alone, you would but it is." She said. We were both silent for a few moments. "Please. For me. Their is no one else I trust more to go on this mission than you, Ezra." Ahsoka stated. Me and Mira looked at each other and nodded. "Alright gimme a sec to get ready." I said and she left. "So what do you think the new team is gonna be like?" Mira asked me. "Don't know but they better be good." I said and put on my armor.

Me and Mira entered the bridge and saw Ahsoka, Rex and Tarkin. "Nice to see you finally show up." Tarkin said. "Why you-" Mira was about to say but I cut her off. "Mira" I called her name and she calmed down. "Sir we are coming out of slip space." A pilot said. We came out of slip space to a large UNSC fleet. "So does this fleet have a name?" I asked. "Yes. It's called THE PHOENIX FLEET." Ahsoka said. "C'mon we are going to meet the new team." She added. "Can't wait for that." Me and Mira said in sync.
