So I was listening to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack, and I thought of a lot of the complaints on the internet about how the Beast got to be handsome at the end of the movie even if the movie was about them finding beauty within a person and looking behind what they appear.

And what I think of those people is that they didn't get the message from the movie at all. It's not just about finding inner beauty in an ugly person. It's about finding inner beauty in most.

Look at Belle, guys. In the first song of the movie, it talks about how everyone thinks she's odd, and how most just think of her as a pretty face. Look at Gaston, for example. He wants to marry Belle simply because she is beautiful, and since she's the most beautiful girl in town, he says it makes her the best.

None of them are actually looking at what Belle likes or admiring her for her kind, intelligent personality, they're admiring her for what's on the outside, how beautiful she is.

Then there is the Beast, who obviously recognizes she's good looking, but looks past that to see for all she has on the outside, she also has an amazing personality on the inside, too.

The movie wasn't just finding out about Beast's inner beauty, but Belle's inner beauty as well, both for their wonderful personalities and how they complimented each other nicely. Even if the Beast gets to be human again and be handsome, it shouldn't matter, because the movie taught you whether beautiful or ugly, it's what on the inside that really counts.
