I don't mean to be political, but what is everyone had basic human rights?

John Laurens died at the young ripe age of 27. He was one of the few people back then that hated slavery, alongside his best friend, Hamilton, who lived where one of the biggest slave ports was. He had so much to offer this world, but he never got to. For now on, whenever you think of Hamilton or any other founding fathers, think of John Laurens. Please. He had a life ahead of him with his wife and kid. He never got to see slavery be abolished. He never got to see his kid grow up. He wasn't there to be Hamilton's second in his battle with Burr. He wasn't there to stop this. He wasn't there for Philip Hamilton's death, there to comfort his best friend. He wasn't there to beat up Burr for killing Hamilton, or to comfort Eliza after losing her son and husband.

May you rest in peace, with your best friends, Hamilton, Hercules Mulligan, and Marquis de Lafayette, John Laurens.
