I hear a car horn outside, and Trina shouts, "Anne, your boyfriend is here!"

I roll my eyes, put on my jacket, and head down the stairs. Trina reminds me, "Be back by 10 or you're sleeping outside."

I reply sarcastically, "Yes, Mom," before stepping outside. She shuts the door behind me, making me jump a little.

Brandon leans against his car, smirking with his arms crossed. "Wow, you have it bad," he says.

"Way to observe the obvious," I reply. He opens the door for me, and I get in, shutting it behind me. He takes the driver's seat, and we drive off as I turn on the radio.

"Love Me" by Justin Bieber plays, and I start singing along.

'Love me, love me, say that you love me...'

Brandon laughs and says, "I love you."

I blush.

"I'll try my best not to hurt you," he adds.

"That's all I'm asking," I say, squeezing his hand.

We arrive at a fancy restaurant, and I say, "If you'd told me we were coming here, I would have dressed better."

Brandon smiles, "You look beautiful, Ana," and kisses me on the cheek.

We exit the car, and Brandon opens the door for me at the entrance. The clerk asks, "Reservation for two?"

We nod and follow him to the balcony. Brandon pulls out my chair, and I sit down, noticing a blonde waitress flirting with a guy while another girl glares at her.

Brandon takes my hand, smiling. "You have beautiful eyes, Ana."

I blush again.

The same blonde waitress approaches, smiling at Brandon. "Hey, handsome, what can I get you?"

Brandon snaps, "A manager to report that a waitress is interrupting my date." I smirk.

She frowns as he dismisses her, and I call a waiter over.

"Can I talk to the manager, please?"

The waitress continues to flirt with Brandon, who looks uncomfortable.

Three minutes later, the manager arrives, a man in his mid-forties.

"What's the problem here, madam?" he asks.

"This waitress is interrupting my date," I say, pointing at her.

The manager sighs and tells Isabel to get back to work.

"But I am taking the customer's order," she protests.

"Doesn't seem like it. I've warned you about complaints before," he snaps.

She smirks, "You can't do that; I can make you lose your job."

The manager turns pale.

I say, "Actually, you can lose your job because my father is Mr. Alvin Montez, a big business owner."

She turns pale.

"You're not his daughter," she chuckles.

I roll my eyes, take out my phone, and put it on loudspeaker.

"Hi, Dad."

"Hi, kiddo, what's up?"

"I'm on a date, and a waitress is flirting with my date."

"Who is it? Tell me the restaurant's name, and I'll get her fired in one call."

The waitress looks alarmed as the manager is speechless.

"Well, it's a fancy restaurant, similar to the one we went to a few weeks ago."

"Is it opposite a pet store?"

"Yes."

"I know the owner; we're good friends. Just tell me the waitress's first name, and I'll call him immediately."

I smile at the waitress, who is now speechless. Brandon smirks, enjoying the show. Other customers watch us with surprised expressions.

The manager says, "Her name is Isabel."

That name sounds familiar; the owner mentioned complaints about her since July.

"Well, I think it's about time she leaves."

"I think so too. I'll call now, and by next hour, she'll be packing."

He hangs up, and I turn to her. "Don't believe me now?"

The waitress runs to the kitchen area. I order my food, and Brandon does the same. The manager talks to the clerk, then his phone rings, presumably from the owner.

"That was hilarious," Brandon says. "You should have seen her face when your dad said that name sounds familiar."

I laugh.

While eating dessert, the waitress storms out with her bag, furious.

"I'll make this restaurant shut down!" she shouts as the security guard drags her away.

I shake my head, and Brandon says, "Well, this is a night to remember." I nod.

After Brandon pays, we head to the parking lot. "Let's go to the park, lie on the grass, and watch the stars," he suggests. I agree.

Ten minutes later, we arrive at the park. Brandon takes out a blanket from the back seat, and we lay down in the middle of the field.

"The stars are beautiful," I say, gazing up at the clear sky.

"You sure are," he replies, making me blush. He pulls me close, resting my head on his chest with his arm around my waist.

I see a shooting star and close my eyes, mumbling, "I wish for the best eighteenth birthday."

When I open my eyes, Brandon is looking down at me, smiling. He leans down and kisses me. I close my eyes and pull him on top of me, feeling fireworks in my stomach.

Suddenly, I hear laughter from the bushes, snapping me back to reality. I thought we were alone here.
