Liftys pov

I was feeling a bit outta place but I knew where I was. As soon as my vision cleared I realized I was in the hospital. I whispered, Shi...Shifty please come to me.....I'm scared....I don't wanna be alone anymore.....I felt my heart aching I thought I wanted to be strong but in the end I can't do it I'm weak, I'm pathetic and I am useless. I cried as I was being wheeled into the operation room. It was scary but I heard a familiar voice yelling out my name, LLLLLLIIIIIIFFFFTTTYYY!!!! It sounded like Shiftys voice I felt as if tears were falling on my face and looking at me with sad and grieving eyes. I blacked out as soon as I thought at first I had died just right now. Although I lived a life of hell I knew that Shifty would try to save me and surprisingly cared about me. But I never even realized how deep it really was until he attempted to sacrificed himself.

Shiftys pov

I ran towards the hospital and into my horror I saw Lifty was......I can't say it's too much to bare.....I yelled as I attempted to run towards his side, LLLLLLIIIIIIFFFFTTTYYY!!!! But I was stopped by Flippy and looked at me as if to say stop Shifty. I looked at my brother as I cried. Sniffles appeared and said as he wheeled him away, were doing whatever we can but I doubt we'll be able to save him. I shouted in sadness, NO SNIFFLES DON'T DOUBT THAT NOT EVEN ONCE!!..PLEASE JUST SAVE HIM.....WE MAYBE THE SAME AGE BUT....TO ME HE'S ONLY A YOUNG KID.....SCARED AND HURT....THE ONLY ONE LEFT THE ONLY ONE.....THAT MY PARENTS LEFT ME WITH WHEN THEY DIED..... everyone looked at me as if they never knew this before. The only ones who knew were Flippy and Flaky. But I wanted nothing more but to see my brother alive again. But I then realized there was only one way to save my brothers life and that is to take my own life. So I ran off towards the rooftop not knowing that Flippy and Flaky were following me. There I was standing on the edge of the hospital roof and whispered sadly, Lifty...I know you can't hear me right now but I'm afraid I can't see you grow up not with me at least remember that I love you I'm terribly sorry. Then I fell

Flippys pov

Me and Flaky were worried about Lifty but then we saw Shifty running towards the roof but I somehow knew this isn't good but that's when we saw the scariest thing Shifty was about to take his own life. Flaky yelled out but it was too late, NO PL..PLEASE DON'T DO IT SHI..SHIFTY PLEASE DON'T!!! I grabbed Flaky and whispered, it's too late Flakes we can't save him in time. Then Flaky cried on my chest.

Liftys pov

(7 hours later)

I woke up and saw that.... I was alive I think I did make it after all. but how? That's when Dr. Sniffles came in and said as he had this gloomy look, hey....you're awake Lifty your lucky that you miraculously survived even in that condition but I'm afraid you're brother is no different. I widened in horror as he said that. I whispered in a sad tone, Shifty wh..what about him what happened to him? Sniffles answered him gloomy and grimly, well your brother he...jumped off the roof and we never knew why but he.... before he can finish he saw me cry as I breath crazily in the oxygen mask and cried as I whispered, Shifty....why....why did you?... Sniffles took a deep breath and said, were doing whatever we can to save him okay so just try to hang in there okay? I nodded as he left. I cried for 19 minutes for Shifty to make it through this until I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was Flippy and Flaky they were concerned about how I reacted. Flippy hugged me and whispered, hey it's okay Shifty will make it I promise. Then Flaky join in and whispered, Fli..Flippys right try to hang in there o..ok? I nodded as I felt myself shaking. Several months later I was released but nothing can make me feel better Shifty was in a coma thanks to that fall. One day I paid a visit to him and sat right at his bed side he had bandages on his head and was like still knocked out. I cried even more as I held his hand like I did when we were kids. That's when something happened I felt someone petting my head as I looked up I saw Shiftys eyes opened I was shocked as tears continued to fall but I was very happy. But as I was still in tears Shifty smiled and whispered, I'm glad that you're alive and alright little brother.

Shiftys pov

I woke in the hospital still and found out that... I was still alive? Man I must've been in here for sometime but I wonder how long? But something really slipped through me and that something is my vision I couldn't see all I could see is a blur. But fortunately I can hear but that's one thing that caught my attention and that one thing is that I heard someone crying. I turned to see who it was and to my surprise it was my brother he must've not took it well. I had a bit of strength left so I lifted my arm and petted that green hair of his and as soon as he looked up with tears in his eyes I smiled and whispered, I'm glad that you're alive and alright little brother. That's when he hugged me whispered as he still had tears in his eyes, Shifty...your alive....I knew you be...I missed you so much. I pat his head once more as I placed myself in the sitting position and hugged him for comfort as I whispered, it's okay Lift.....it's going to be okay. Shhh...please don't cry Lift it's okay....shhh...shh..shh. At that moment I vowed never to leave him hanging ever again.
