The darkness only went on terrifying. Vidyut never thought that some day he will be standing like this in a deserted road at almost midnight. An owl hooted making him shudder and he gulped in scared and a sweat drop developed on his forehead. He looked around standing under that dimly lit street light where his own shadow on the road scared the hell out of him.

“Jai... hanuman... gyan gun sagar...” he started to chant hanuman chalisa whose only one line he ever knew. “Dadi ne kaha tha... Vidyut beta... naam vidyut hone se shareer me vidyut nahi hota. Uske liye hanuman chalisa padna bhi zaruri hai. Kya patha kab kisi dayan chudail ya nagin se samna karna pade...” (Just by the name Vidyut the current will not pass through your body. You need Hanuman Chalisa also. Who knows when you might face a dayan, chudail or nagin). He remembered his grandmother as the mantra he never heard did not come to his rescue.

A car approached him and he looked at it smiling as the headlights lit his face. “Thank God” he left a breath of sigh. But his smile turned into horror expression as the car did not stop. Vidyut's eyes widened in panic. “Ahhhh” he screamed as he stood rooted in his place and the car was on full speed to hit him.

The car halted touching his knees slightly. His heart was in his mouth and he had zero courage to open his eyes and look at the surrounding to make sure if he is still alive or not. He was about to burst into a bitter cry like a toddler when he felt a hand on his shoulder which made him jump in his place. He screamed again not opening his eyes. “Jai...jai....” he spoke in low tone as the voice denied to leave his throat.

“Haa” the person spoke and Vidyut started to hyperventilate. “Jai... jai...” he kept mumbling hoping that the evil spirit might disappear soon. “Abbey aage bhi bolega” Vidyut opened his eyes wide open. “Jai” he said with his still shocked face. “Seriously I know it's my name. But will you speak anything else than just chanting my name?” Jai his friend asked.

“Jai....” Vidyut hugged his friend immediately and Jai looked at him confused. “Bro...” Jai tried to get out of the suffocating hold of his friend but all in vain. There was no chance that someone can get out of the hold of the Bahubali and at the time when he was so scared. No chance.

They heard the honk and Vidyut let go of Jai. “If your Dostana is over can we move guys. We have to get our Sita maiya from the clutches of Ravan” Sanskar peeped out of the car from the driver seat.

“You moron. I would have reached Shivji's foot because of you” Vidyut charged at Sanskar. “Awww Jai teri dulhan kinni cute hai(Aww jai your bride is so cute)” Sanskar teased Vidyut holding his chin. Jai nodded his head. “You know what? Our desperate Shri Ram Ji gonna jump off the mountain if we don't hurry up. You know that jerk has called me ten times already” Jai sat on the back seat.

“Why didn't you talk to him and console him? He must be so worried” Vidyut spoke worried. “That nervous Narad Muni will not only is like Kali billi who spoils the work but also the biggest panauti who can make us get trapped” Jai nodded his head which made Sanskar chuckle.

“Why are you so sarcastic Jai. You know I like you for the same reason” Vidyut smiled widely feeling proud. “Okay. Now concentrate on the mission rather than being a proud wife” Sanskar teased again and that made Jai to hit Sanskar on the back of his head. “Tujhe chain nahi ayega na jab tak tu mera break up nahi karvayega?” Jai glared Sanskar. “Chill bro. You have your Chammak challo na?” Sanskar pulled Vidyut's cheeks.

“Sanky. If you continue to be like this na your antim sanskar is gonna happen soon. That too from my hands” Vidyut fumed. “I'm not scared bro. You know what you will never kill me” he said with confidence. “Why do you think so?” asked Vidyut.

“Because. You know I will not leave you even after dying. I will become your scariest nightmare and make your life hell. So you will not kill me neither you will let me die before you” Sanskar raised his collar. “Abbey Samne dekh” Jai warned when they were about to hit a truck.

“Sanky” Vidyut looked at Sanskar. “Are you hurt? You are not gonna die right?” he asked and Sanskar laughed and Jai nodded his head looking at his friends.

Aftter driving for another hour they reached the venue. “Is this the mandap?” Jai asked as he got out of the car and carefully walked towards the huge gate inside which a marriage hall was decorated with the lights and flowers. Vidyut nodded his head. “This is the one. See the bride's name. Sneha” Vidyut pointed at the board.

Jai showed his thumb and Sanskar and Vidyut covered the face with the towel and Jai who had covered his face already walked front.

They carefully climbed a wall and walked in the garden in front of the marriage hall and found a open window and climbed it jumping inside it. To their great luck it was the room of the bride. The bride was alerted and she was about to scream when Vidyut reached her and closed her mouth and made her smell the chloroform. The girl was about to touch the ground but he held her firmly.

He looked at the handkerchief on which the chloroform was sprinkled and smelled it by mistake and felt dizzy. He smiled widely and stumbled. “Abbey gadhe” Sanskar held him on time before he could hit the flower stand and wake everyone.

“Shhh” Jai signed him to be quite. “Look at this duffer” Sanskar signed at Vidyut who was all smiles closing his eyes and floating in the land of hallucinations. Jai slapped his forehead and looked around. He signed Sanskar to hold on and Sanskar tried to balance both the unconscious people with difficulty.

Jai held the girl's hand and carried her on his shoulder and Sanskar held Vidyut. “Abbey yeh gym kyu jaatha hai? When he can't even handle a breath of chloroform” Sanskar whispered and Jai signed him to be quite. “If I knew someday I could die carrying this idiot I would have fed the chicken pieces to Tommy rather than this pahad” Sanskar walked with difficulty.

Somehow they were out of the building. Jai placed the girl in the back seat and Sanskar reached the car. “Isse kaha dalu(Where should I put him)?” he asked. “Dikki me” Jai said casually. “Sahi hai. Yeh saand wahi pe fit hoga(Correct this buffalo will fit there only)” Sanskar moved towards the backside of the car.

“Abbey teri khisak gayi hai kya?(Are you mad)” Jai held Sanskar. “Oh bhai. Now I have zero tolerance to handle his weight. Keep your sarcasm aside and tell me where to put him” Sanskar pleaded.

“Make him sit on the front seat and you sit on the back seat. The girl might fall down. Bhabi hai. We had promised we will protect her” Jai instructed and Sanskar nodded his head and made Vidyut to sit on the driver seat and was about to walk to the back seat.

“Oye namune. Yeh driving karega kya?(Idiot. Will he drive)” Jai held his head. “Point” Sanskar moved Vidyut to the other seat and Jai sat inside nodding his head annoyed. Sanskar sat on the back seat and prevented the girl from falling while Jai kept driving.

The girl was conscious after fifteen minutes. She looked around confused. She got up and found Sanskar sitting beside her and sleeping. She found Vidyut also on the front seat who was still smiling though he had least senses. Jai was seriously driving the car and he hardly noticed that the girl is awake.

“Ahhhh” the girl screamed with all her strength and Jai jerked and turned the steering wheel and hit the tree on the foot path which stopped the car. Sanskar woke up with the jerk and Vidyut gain his senses back and jumped on his seat.

“Who are you people?” the girl screamed. “Sanky close her mouth. She is gonna screw our plan” Jai said and Sanskar immediately closed his mouth and she kept screaming still. “Did we kidnap the bride?” Vidyut who woke up spoke and Jai hit his forehead. The girl widened her eyes and tried screaming with more force.

Sanskar searched for a cloth and covered her mouth. “Tie her hands and legs also” Jai told and Sanskar did the same. The girl struggled to get out of the hold but she failed. She started to cry. Jai watched her through the rear mirror. He felt bad. “Yaar Jai. She is crying” Sanskar spoke concerned. “If we let her go. You know na our friend will end his life” Vidyut spoke.

Jai stretched his lips helplessly. “Sometimes the girls become so cruel that they first love a boy and make him dream about a happily ever after and then they just crush those dreams for their parent dreams. And they don't even care if the man who considered them as his world is living or ending his life” Vidyut smiled sarcastically. “And more than you who knows this Sanskar. If you would have listened to us then you wouldn't have to tolerate this pain all your life” Vidyut looked at Sanskar who looked out of the window and a tear developed in his eyes which he tried to hide.

“Stop it Vidyut” Jai warned and Vidyut looked out of his window. He himself was pained to remind his friend of his past which he never forgot but just pretended that he was all happy.
Some pains leave you and you will stay or pretend that you don't give a damn about it but you can't wear that mask of happiness in front of your best friends.

They reached a highway dhaba where Jai stopped the car. He was feeling sleepy. As the journey was going to take the whole night he needed a good coffee to keep him awake.

“You want something?” Jai asked as he stepped out of the car looking at Sanskar. “I'm not hungry” he replied coldly. “And  you?” he asked Vidyut who was in his deep slumber. “Patha nahi yeh ussi muhurat me paida hua tha jab kumkaran mara tha? (Was he born on the same time as the time Kumkaran was dead). He was unconscious for more than 20 minutes and look at him the way he is sleeping like he was awake from ages” Jai nodded his head walking towards the Dhaba.

The girl was still struggling to get out of the hold. “What?” Sanskar looked at her. She looked at him pleading. “You are hungry?” he asked and she nodded her head vigorously. “You couldn't tell it earlier? Now if I tell Jai again he will not go” Sanskar looked out at the Dhaba which was a bit away from their car.

“You be here. And dare you try to escape” he warned her and she nodded her head in yes. He walked towards the Dhaba. He brought some snacks and was about to walk towards the car when he collided with Jai. “What are you doing here?” he asked panicking.

“That girl was hungry. So I...” finally the tube light lit. “Damn” both of them rushed towards the car. They saw the girl running away as Sanskar had tied the knot on her leg loosely. “She is escaping” Jai yelped. “I can see that” Sanskar said hyperventilating. “So what are you staring at. Go get her kameene. We will loose our friend otherwise” Jai said desperately. He sat inside the car and ignited it. The girl was running towards the bushes when she felt a strong hold on her shoulder.

Sanskar looked at her furiously. She nodded her head pleading. “See I am not a bad person. But. I have to do this for saving my friend. Whom you loved once and you might have forgotten him but he... he cannot forget you” Sanskar dragged her towards the road and made her sit inside the car and Jai drove the car fast after Sanskar tied her legs properly this time.

When the sun rose on the horizon in front of Jai he smiled widely. He inhaled the fresh breath when his car passed the sign board of his town. His smile widened still more when he spotted the temple where all the arrangements were done for their friend's marriage.

“We successfully saved our Shri Ram Ji guys” Jai spoke and Sanskar and Vidyut woke up from their sleep. So did the girl.

“Okay now I will surely let you free” Sanskar untied the girl as Jai stopped the car outside the temple. The girl rubbed her wrist and slapped Sanskar hard on his cheek.

Sanskar looked at her horrified. “I so want to frown but Sanky your face” Vidyut started laughing. Jai muffled with his laughter.

“That's not fair. I was not alone responsible for your kidnapping for god sake” he said annoyed. The girl fumed listening to him. “Sure you weren't the only one but you idiot you closed my mouth which did not let me tell you” she said.

“Tell what?” asked Vidyut.

“That she is not Sneha” Shyam walked there. He was wearing the garland and beside him walked a girl who was in bridal dress.

All three of their jaws dropped to the ground as they stared at the newly wed.

They pointed their finger towards the girl who was standing beside them. “She is my cousin. Ragini. She just sat in my place so that I can escape and reach Shyam” Sneha explained.

“Damn I would have managed everything if it was not for these three monkeys” she rolled her eyes. All three of them shook their head coming back to the world. “And you did not felt like informing us this?” Jai charged at Shyam.

“Remember? I called you almost more than twenty times?” he pointed his phone.

“And you got only pre assumption king to call?” Vidyut asked. “I would have called you. But you know the time was like you would have got scared hearing just the ring tone” Shyam looked at Vidyut who dragged himself away flushed.

“And what about me?” asked Sanskar. “Where is your phone by the way?” he asked and Sanskar searched his pocket. “The great bhulakkad forgot it in the house only” said Shyam and Sanskar scratched the back of his neck.

“Sorry” they three stood in front of Ragini who was fuming crossing her arms. “What sorry haa? I'm kidnapped. Do you even understand? Who will marry me now?” she asked feeling frustrated.

“She is worried for that?” Shyam looked at Sneha. She chuckled. “It was her dream from childhood to get married and your friends spoiled the same dream” she said shrugging her shoulders.

Vidyut looked at Jai. 'Abbey I have a girl friend. Don't you dare look at me' Jai thought in his mind. 'Tho even I have promised my Shonu Monu that I will only marry her' Vidyut spoke in his mind.

Aur yehi bakra bacha hai abhi' Jai signed at Sanskar and Vidyut smiled widely hearing Jai's telepathy. They both agreed and stepped two steps back which made Sanskar stand in front of her. Ragini looked at them and found Sanskar who was standing with his head down.

Jai shook Vidyut's hand when their plan to trap Sanskar was successful. They acted innocent when Ragini walked to Sanskar. “So you are ready to marry me?” she asked and Sanskar looked up and then at his right and then left where his friends weren't standing anymore. He knew like always they trapped him.

He turned to glare them and they gave him a sheepish smile. “Kameeno” he hissed. “I don't mind getting a dudh peda like husband” Ragini bit her lower lip looking down.

Sanskar at last could not control his smile and looked around when Ragini embraced him warmly. He placed his chin over her head. “Sometimes you have to leave your past behind Sanky” Jai smiled at Sanskar who hugged him and then Vidyut.

“By the way you don't forget to call me for your marriage okay” he pointed at Jai and Vidyut. “They are getting married to each other?” Ragini asked with wide eyes.

“Oh you could not guess they are dating each other?” Sasnkar faked innocence.

“Saale kameene” Jai and Vidyut chased him and he hid behind Shyam who stumbled but they kept chasing him.

Friendship is something you should cherish all your life no matter what.

Belated happy friendship day guys.
