Vibhishan wanted to give a respectable cremation to Ravan. He sought Shri Ram's permission for it.

"Prabhu, mai bhaiya ka vidhi-poorn roop se antim sanskar karne ki aagya chahta hu." Vibhishan requested.

"Awashya karo Vibhishan. Mrityu ke baad koi kisi ka shatru nahi, humara udeshya purn ho chuka hai, ab Ravan mujhe utna hi priya hai jitna ki tum. Kripiya sammaan poorvak, shaashtro ke anusaar Ravan ka antim sanskar karo." Shri Ram said.

Vibhishan nodded and left to make the necessary arrangements and provisions to cremate Ravan as he rightly deserves.

By the time Indra appeared in front of Shri Ram.

"Dashrath-Nandan, aapne Ravan ka annt kar sansaar mei punah Dharm aur shaanti ki sthapna ki hai. Mai aapko vardaan dene ka icchuk hu. Jo chahiye woh maang le." Indra offered.

"Indradev, yadi aap unn Vanaro ko jeevit karde jinhone iss yudh mei apne praan gavaaye hai, toh mai kritagya ho jaunga." Shri Ram said.

He had a reason to fight Ravan but the vanars didn't. Even then they did everything in their capacity to help him win the war. So many risked their lives and so many died.

Shri Ram wanted nothing but them to be revived so they could unite with their families.

"Tathastu !" Indra agreed, even though it was a difficult task, the king of gods resurrected all the Vanars who had died in this war.

In front of his wives and surviving citizens of Lanka, the antim sanskaar of the mighty Ravan took place. His body was consigned to flames following all the rituals prescribed in scriptures.

"Vibhishan, tumne sadev Rakshas pravriti se upar uth manushyo ki dharm-parayan pravriti ko apnaya hai. Toh mai soch raha tha kyu na tum Rakshaso ki Lanka ko Manushyo ke Bharatvarsh se ek kardo." Shri Ram suggested.

"Aapk tatparya ki Lanka ko Bharatvarsh ka hissa bana du ?" Vibhishan asked.

"Ha." Shri Ram nodded.

"Yeh toh ati uttam sujhaav hai. Yadi Lanka Bharatvarsh ka hissa ban jaaye toh kadachit Rakshaso mei bhi manushyo ke ucch gun aajaye. Batayiye yeh karya kaise siddh kare ?" Vibhishan asked.

"Apni Lanka ko Bharatvarsh ki Akhand Maharani, Arya-Bharti ko samarpit kardo. Unki ek bhavya murti banao, jiska star tumhare singhasan se upar ho. Aur fir tum, Bharatvarsh ke anya manushya Rajao ke bhaati, Devi Arya-Bharti ke oor se unke naye aur dharm-parayan siddhanto ke dwara shaashan karo. Iss tarah Lanka bhi Bharatvarsh ka hissa ban jayega." Shri Ram said.

"Jaisa aap kahe." Vibhishan agreed.
