The weapons were prepared, the bows were stung, the quivers were filled with arrows, swords were sharpened and so were the blades of spears and daggers.

Rameshwari had disregarded the purple garments which she always wore and has adorned her self in saffron. The golden armlets, armour and diadem ornamented her body.

She walked across the corridor with her head high, everyone bowed to her as she walked by. When the sunlight fell over her golden ornaments, she looked like divine light personified.

Reaching the threshold of the palace, she bowed down to Hanuman, her Gurudev.

"Yashasvi bhava !" Hanuman blessed, "Yeh yatra tumhare veerta aur shaurya ka pramaan hoga Rameshwari toh pramaanit kar dena." He said.

"Jo aagya Gurudev." The Hanumanti said.

Rameshwari then moved to Shri Ram, who too was ready to move to Naimisa van, with his troops and sacrificial priests.

Rameshwari touched his feet, he smiled at her, before taking the sacramental plate in her hand, smearing the red kumkum in his thumb and then putting a tilak on her forehead.

"Vijay bhava !" He blessed.

Rameshwari smiled and bowed her head with joined hands.

"Ramey, smaran rakhna ki hume jo jeevan ka anmol upahaar mila hai woh ishwar ke kripa se mila hai aur yeh atyant awashyak hai ki hum acche Manav bane, keval ek acche Kshatriya nahi. Jab tak Ashwamedh ho nahi jata tab tak bahut se log mrityu ko praapt karenge, ek Kshatriya hone ke naate tum yudh karti rehna kintu ek Manav hone ke naate sadev prathna karna ki iss duniya mei yudh kabhi na ho." Shri Ram said.

"Awashya Pitashree." Rameshwari said with joined hands.

"Ab prasthaan karo. Mai ek varsh tak tumhari pratiksha karunga." Shri Ram said.

Rameshwari once again bowed her head to him, before walking down the stairs and mounting on her majestic black horse Vajra.

She rode him to where Lakshman was. He too was decked in armour and adorned with various weapons, mounted on his chariot. He smiled at her before looking back at the soldiers, ready to fight the war.

"Rama, Sainiko ko protsahan do." Lakshman said.

Rameshwari nodded and looked at the soldiers, who looked back at her with respect and eagerness to fight the war. She just has to increase their determination even more.

She guided vajra to take her towards them, so all of them hear what she has to say.

"Sainiko, yeh ek aitihasik Ashwamedh hai ! Aur sanatan satya hai ki Itihaas keval veer hi rachte hai, kayar nahi ! Jay ho ya Parajay, jeevan mile ya mrityu, yudh ka keval ek hi nishkarsh hota hai. Jo ladta woh hi veer kehlata hai ! Kintu, parajay mujhe na kabhi maanya thi ! Aur na kabhi maanya hogi !" She said in a firm voice.

The soldiers hearing this grabbed their spears and stomped in on the ground to show their agreement to what she was saying.

"Hume vijay hona hoga keval aur keval Maharaj ke liye ! Hume vijay hona hoga Ram ke liye ! Unhone apna sampurn jeevan hume samarpit kar diya hai toh ab humari baari hai apne praan unhe samarpan karne ki !" Rameshwari said.

She looked at the soldiers, her words were having a desired effect on them as they looked more eager for this Ashwamedh yatra.

"HUM JIYENGE KISKE LIYE ?" Rameshwari asked loudly.

"RAM KE LIYE !" The soldiers said.

"HUM LADENGE KISKE LIYE ?" She asked.

"RAM KE LIYE !" The soldiers said.

"HUM MARENGE KISKE LIYE ?" She asked.

"RAM KE LIYE !" The soldiers said.

"Sainiko ! Itihaas rachne ka samaye agaya hai ! Punah yeh baat siddh kardo ki..." She looked each of them in their eyes before raising her sword up in the sky, "VEER BHOGYA VASUNDHARA !" Rameshwari roared.

"VEER BHOGYA VASUNDHARA !" The soldiers roared raising their weapons high.

"MAHARAJ RAM CHANDRA KI JAI !" Lakshman roared.

"MAHARAJ RAM CHANDRA KI JAI !" Everyone hailed.

Rameshwari looked back at her father who was proudly smiled at her, she joined her hands in front of him and he gave her a nod.

And so Rameshwari and Lakshman began their journey, with the Ashwamedh horse with all the auspicious mark at their forefront and the army of brave soldiers behind them.

After them Shri Ram too left for the Naimisa forest with his troops, priests and sages like Vasisth, Vamdev and Jabali, foremost in performing Ashwamedh.
