Sitting on the throne, Shri Ram looked at everyone in the court, where it seemed that instead of justice, silence reigned.

The husband of Janki was expecting anyone of them, to object to his decision, so he gets a chance to take back his decision.

But no one objected, not even his revered ministers, nor Kul-Guru Vasisth, nor his brothers, nor Hanuman nor anyone.

The matters of the court proceeded like they did everyday and ended just like they did everyday.

"Kya kisi ko kuch aur kehna hai ?" Shri Ram asked, hoping there was something they wanted to say.

"Nahi Maharaj." The ministers said with downcast eyes.

"Toh aaj ki sabha yahi samapt hoti hai. Yadi mujhse kuch kehna hai toh aap Yuvraj Bharat ke dwara mujhe kabhi bhi sandesh pahucha sakte hai." Shri Ram said.

He stood up and left as the ministers bowed to him.

Since it was the first half of the day, Shri Ram went straight to the royal path to present himself in front of the citizens, like everyday.

Like daily huge crowd had gathered to see their king. They all seemed happy and elated seeing his face.

"Kya praja prashaasan se prasann hai ?" Shri Ram asked.

"JI MAHARAJ !" They said.

"Kya praja ko mere shaasan se koi aapatti hai ?" He asked.

"NAHI MAHARAJ !" The citizens said.

"Kya mera koi aisa nirnaye hai jo aapko anuchit laga ?" He asked, hoping them to object to his decision to send Devi Sita away.

"NAHI MAHARAJ !"

"AAPSE KOI ANUCHIT NIRNAYE LIYA HI NAHI JAA SAKTA !"

This felt like a barb in his heart, nor people in the court objected, nor any single man or woman from the citizens. Shri Ram gave them a smile and left.

He then went straight to the antahpur of the palace, in the dining room. He sat down and lunch began to be served.

Shri Ram looked at his sister-in-laws who were serving lunch with grim downcast eyes, he then looked at his mothers who remained silent.

With heavy heart, Shri Ram ate his food, it was delicious but it didn't had the taste that came in the food made by his wife.

And thinking about her, he couldn't bring himself to have even a bite. His wife would be subsisting on simple food and he shall enjoy a king's meal ? Unlikely.

He lightly moved the plate away and joined his hands. Before getting up and leaving.

Shri Ram went straight to his bhavan, and first decided to visit his daughter.

"Pitashree ?" She smiled before running towards him.

He knelt at her level and for the first time in the day, smiled genuinely.

"Pitashree, Sitey-Maa kab tak lautengi ?" She asked.

The tears that he was holding back since morning, finally made their way to his eyes. Atleast someone mentioned her now.

But look at his dilemma, the one who has asked this question cannot be answered truthfully, nor is she old enough that he can confide his worries in her.

"Pitashree, aap thik hai ?" Rameshwari asked seeing his moistened eyes.

And that question, made him break down into tears as he hugged her close to his heart. He was not okay, without his wife, without Devi Sita, he was not okay. But no one today asked if he was or not.

Although he deeply cared about everyone's happiness and always did things that brings pleasure to all, now it seemed as though no one really cared about his personal happiness.

No one. No one in the kingdom objected to this.

Shri Ram cared for everyone's happiness, but no one cared about his happiness.

Not even one person said ki this is too much Maharaj, you cannot do this, you're putting your personal life and happiness on stake..... No one said that....

Imagine how Shri Ram would've felt ?

We all know the pain of Mata Sita, but overlook that of Shri Ram...
