DESCRIPTION

The Ageing Potion was a powerful potion that caused the taker to temporarily age up (become older). The more of the potion that was drunk, the larger the ageing would occur.

EXAMPLES OF USAGE:

Professor Severus Snape taught this concoction to his fourth years in Potions Class at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1987-1988.

Fred and George Weasley and Lee Jordan used this potion in the fourth book/film: Goblet of Fire to age themselves up in order to trick the age line Dumbledore placed around the Goblet of Fire. This age line was to prevent anyone under the age of seventeen entering their names into the Triwizard Tournament - George, Fred and Lee were all underage.

However, George and Fred were forcefully ejected back over the line and both spouted beards for their trouble. George mentioned that they both only took a drop of the potion in order to age themselves a few months, which indicates that the more of the potion that's drunk, the larger the degree of ageing that occurs.
