Call out racist comments or "jokes"

Remember: racism is never a joke

Support friends who are Asian. Let them know that you are aware of these hate crimes. Let them know that they can talk to you.

If COVID cases are very, very low in your area and you're allowed to do so, or after the pandemic, you can attend Stop Asian Hate marches to show your support for the Asian community.

Call out harmful phrases people use:

1.China virus
2. Kung Flu
3. Yellow skin
4. Slanted eyes
5. Ching chong

And instead use:

1 and 2. COVID-19, COVID, coronavirus, corona
3. Olive skin tone
4. Monolids
5. Their name

Spread awareness of #StopAsianHate. You can do so here and on social media by putting it in your bios.

Spreading awareness of this is good but we can't let Stop Asian Hate be another trend that people soon forget about. Racism towards Asians has always been there in society. Asians have faced pain, racism and discrimination throughout history. Over and over again. We're feeling it today. We cannot let history repeat itself. We are the future. We must act now.

If you realise that you've been racist, laughed at a racist comment or "joke" apologise and try and be a better person.
