Peter stepped back after watching his life play before him. He glanced around and grabbed Ladia's wrist and lead her toward the now deserted beach.

The tide was rolling in as he pulled her under the dock. She smirked thinking, I got him to listen. Finally, he sees I am right!

Peter looked around once again then turned and slammed Ladia into a pole that held up the boardwalk. The wind flew out of Ladia and her knees buckled making her fall against the pole, it acted as her support.

"Why..?" She gasped trying to fill her lungs again

"Why did you show me that?!" He yelled

"You wouldn't believe me." Ladia coughed and tried to sit up straighter, water started to soak into her shoes.

Peter turned and punched the wood, "Dammit Ladia." He turned back to face her, "you can help."

"That's what I was planning to do." Ladia smiled weakly, "Can you help me up..?"

Peter walked over and slung his arm around her waist, he helped her stand. "Can you walk me home?" Ladia asked and Peter nodded. He felt compelled to help her after all, he hurt her, and all she wanted to do was help him.

It started raining.

Down down down, it fell.

Peter knocked on Ladia's front door, while most of Ladia's body weight was placed upon him. She had a slight limp and her vision kept blurring.

Peter felt extremely guilty.

Ladia's 'parents' weren't home yet, so she invited Peter in. He accepted the invitation immediately, he felt like he needed to help her since he was the one who hurt her.

"Look," he placed her on the couch, "I'm really really sorry."

Peter blushed slightly, "I hope we can hang out and talk about this sometime."

Ladia nodded, "Yes. I would like that. We could start right now. If you'd like." She shifted on the couch.

"Only if you're comfortable with it." Peter looked at the floor. Ladia patted the seat next to her. Peter sat down on the edge.

"I don't bite." She whispered and held out a hand, "Please...?"

Peter sat closer and actually on the couch.

"Is that better..?" He asked concerned

"Yes. I'll be able to tell you everything and show you if you make eye contact." Ladia smiled slightly.

"Okay. Wait.. What?"

"It's a long story. But anyway, let's start." Ladia placed her hand on the couch.

Peter placed his hand on hers.

She glanced up, "What.. Why are you..?"

"Oh! I-I'm a... Sorry." Peter sputtered

"It's okay." Ladia squeezed his hand and began, "So this is why I need to keep eye contact..."
