Solstice's pov

I woke up. The sun was rising and I checked the time, 5? That's early.

I sat and scrolled on tiktok and instagram for about 30 minutes till I decided it was time to get up and get ready.

I started my shower and washed my hair and my body. Once I got out I put on some makeup, including concealer, lipgloss, mascara and highlighter. I put my hair into a tight pony tail and pulled some strands out so I looked somewhat decent.

I grabbed a white shirt with black writing on it and put a pair of dark blue jeans and put some white Nike's on.

I heard a honk outside and rolled my eyes, hello chaos. I rushed downstairs and got in the car and already heard Chris and Matt arguing about Pepsi and root beer. Nick was on his phone, clearly annoyed with the pair arguing. "Shut up! Solstice is here." Nick screamed. Matt and Chris stopped and greeted me with a quiet "hi".

The car stopped and nick was already out (no pun intended).

Me and Matt started walking towards the school "what's up with nick?" I asked, "apparently we woke him up to harshly." Matt replied his eyes still ahead of us. I laughed and gripped onto Matt's arm to stop myself from falling. He smiled and just kept looking ahead of us.

During math i kept noticing some girl eyeing Matt, I thought nothing of it until she bit her lip. But before I could say anything to Matt I heard the teacher call my name, "Solstice? What's the answer to number 5?" I fidgeted with my fingers and sheepishly said "I don't know" I heard a couple snickers, I wanted to cry.

After math and during English I saw another girl eyeing Matt, damn he's got bitches. But instead of admiring from afar she slipped a note to him. Matt took it, read it, wrote something on it, then gave it back. She read it and huffed, she turned back around to pay attention to the teacher, I could obviously tell she was pissed but I was curious on what Matt said.

A/n. Im switching p.e to after lunch just bc I don't feel like typing about solstice and Matt being sweaty and gasping for air.

After english I dragged my feet towards my locker only to find Matt talking to some girl. He pulled out his phone and typed something before stuffing it back into his pocket. My phone buzzed and I checked the notif only to see "perfume". I smiled and walked towards Matt and quickly made an excuse to take him from her. I heard his quiet thank you after we were a good distance from her, I nodded and dragged him towards the bathroom.

I made him wait outside until I was done. Once I was back I already saw some girl talking to Matt. I huffed and grabbed his arm before dragging us towards the cafeteria. I heard the girl yell "I was talking to him!" I screamed back "I could care less!" I rolled my eyes and heard matt giggle behind me "shut the fuck up and thank me for saving you." "Thanks." "I guess" he muttered, I turned around and was tempted to bitch slap him. But instead I glared at him before turning around and walking towards the cafeteria.

"What's got you in a sour mood?" He asked, struggling to keep up with me, "nothing, other than the fact I keep seeing girls talking to you or staring at you while biting their lips." I complained. "Aww, is someone jealous?" He taunted, I felt my face flush, he definitely saw. "No dumbass. I'm just annoyed!" I could've said something better, but that's all I could think of. "ok." He sounded upset, and I felt so much regret. I grabbed him and brought him into an empty classroom.

"Matt I'm sorry, I'm just really upset today. I dropped my fucking bagel this morning. And I saw some girl staring at you and biting her lip which pissed me off, then the teacher called on me and I couldn't answer and then I heard people laugh, then I fucking slipped and dropped my other fucking bagel, then I saw some girl flirting with you, then again it pissed me off, and oh so many girls flirting with you!" I ranted feeling tears well up in my eyes. He didn't say anything but instead he hugged me, I sobbed on his shoulder, he didn't ask if I was ok, but instead he rubbed my back, and gave me multiple kisses on my head. "Solstice honey I'm not going to pick any of those girls. I already have you." He assured me, "do you have a crush on me?" I asked teasing him while still laying on his tear stained shirt, "maybe" he whispered. I felt butterflies in my stomach and warmth forming amongst my cheeks. I pulled my head away and stared at him for a moment. There was so much tension in the room. We both leaned in, and his lips were inches away from mine, we almost kissed, until, I swerved my head and started rolling on the floor from laughing, literal tears forming in my eyes, "you fucking bastard." Matt seethed.

A/n. I got you all there for a sec, did I not? Anyways I wouldn't be a good author if I didn't gate keep their kiss or make it more romantic, anyways, I will see you all in the next chapter. Even in yall hate me now, you still love me, don't you?
