* Real Filipino Words



A

* Alipin - Sulunese word for slave. It is also used in most southern parts of Daracka. (In Filipino, it means slave).

* Ate - Darackan word for older sister. (In Filipino, it means older sister).

* Awa - Sulunese word for mercy.. (In Filipino, it means mercy).

Alet - Sulunese word for the brightest star.

Akratan - Darackan word for library. (Origin: From the Filipino word aklatan, which means book storage.

Arat - Trees with nocturnal fruits that only grows is Aradack.

Aratrov jam - Jams made of Arat fruits.



B

* Banig - A handwoven mat used for sleeping made of palm, pandan, sea grass, or other dried leaves. (In Filipino, it is a traditional handwoven mat used for sleeping made of palm, pandan, sea grass, or other dried leaves).

* Baro't Saya - Blouse and Skirt. (In Filipino, it is a blouse and skirt).

* Eskolar - Darackan word for a scholar studying to become a Maestro/ Maestra. (In Filipino, it means Scholar).

Garak - A powdered drug that originated from the south of Daracka. (Origin: From the Filipino word galak, which means happiness.)

* Gat - A title/ prefix of a person in the Maginoo class. Used for both men and women. (In Filipino, it is a title/ prefix of a person in the Maginoo class. Only used for men.)

* Heneral - Darackan word for general of an army. (In Filipino, it means General of an army).

Hirana - Darackan word for forgotten. The Ancient Palace of Hirana (Ruins) in the Shadow Desert was a temple for worshipping the forgotten gods.



K

Kahani - Darackan word for queen. (Origin: During prehistoric times, the culture of the Philippines is heavily influenced by Sanskrit. Kahani is from the Sanskrit word Maharani, which means queen).

Kaharaza - Darackan word for king. (Origin: During prehistoric times, the culture of the Philippines is heavily influenced by Sanskrit. Kaharaza is from the Sanskrit word Maharaja, which means king.)

Kavisera - The head of a city or town in Daracka. (Origin: From the Filipino word kabisera, which means the head of the table).

Karkan - Robes made of pineapple fabric worn by Eskolars and Maestros/ Maestras. Green robes for Eskolars and red robes for Maestros/ Maestras, except for Kazuri's which were made in blue. (Origin: Inspired by the barong tagalog (blouse for men), which is made of pineapple fabric).

Kata - Darackan word for first city. The Holy City of the Sun in Kimara was named Kata.

* Kampilan - A weapon used for chopping off heads. (An ancient Filipino weapon used for chopping off heads).

* Kampit - The hand blade of a Rakitt Maharlika. Hilt colors and materials vary based on the rank of the owner. Higher ranked Rakitt Maharlika's knife hilts are green. Lower rank's are blue. (In Filipino, it is a knife or blade).

* Kimona - A blouse for women made of pineapple fabric. (In Filipino, it is a blouse for women made of pineapple fabric).

Koros - Farm animals with white fur.

Kukatra - A flying animal with batlike wings. The Aradacko believes that kukatras are blessed.

Lakar - A black rock mined from the island of Bickra. The old kings were known to consume lakar and convert it into explosive energy. Lakar also made them indestructible.



M

* Maharlika - Classification of people with warrior blood in Daracka such as the Aradacko, the Darish, and the Katans. (In Filipino, it is an ancient warrior class in the Philippines).

* Maginoo - Classification of people with noble blood in Daracka such as the royal family. (In Filipino, it is a noble warrior class in the Philippines).

Matu - Darackan word for prince. (Origin: From the word Datu, which are the leaders of tribes in the southern parts of the Philippines).

* Mestiza - A dress with large butterfly shoulders worn by the Maginoo women. (In Filipino, it is a traditional (but more modern) dress with butterfly shoulders worn by women).

Nana - A term used to call mothers in Aradack. (Origin: From the Filipino word nanay, which means mother).

* Narra - Large trees only found in the Forest of Zinar. (A native tree in the Philippines or Asia with reddish hardwood).

Nyx - A large animal is usually ridden to travel. They have brown fur with dark spots and large horns similar to a carabao. (Origin: Inspired by the Visayan leopard. Visaya is the southern most region of the Philippines).

* Payneta - A hair ornament in the form of a comb. (In Filipino, it is a hair ornament in the form of a comb).



R

Rakitt - Ancient Darackan word for sky.

Riod - A large predatory animal with two curled horns and black fur.



S

* Salakot - A headwear with a wide brim made of dried bamboo, palms, or rattan leaves. Originated from Suluna. (In Filipino, it is a traditional headwear with a wide brim made of dried bamboo, palms, or rattan leaves).

* Sarhento - Darackan word for sergeant. (In Filipino, it means Sergeant).

Tata - A term used to call fathers in Aradack. (Origin: From the Filipino word tatay, which means father).
