K- mam, I've kept the bag behind and this ...?

He bent down by her side and asked holding a big basket, while shivaay took the driver seat .

A- haan , ye bhi . Keep him behind , aaram se he's sleeping.

Khanna agreed and gently placed the basket on the back seat , shivaay smiled noticing it .

His Oreo is here !!

Annika's face also had a wide smile on it when she watched Khanna being so soft and slow with his process .

A- baiya . I've heard that life is like a cycle ,but you know what ? now I'm actually witnessing it infront of my eyes !

Khanna who heard this , closed the door and once again looked by her side.

K- matlab ?

A- you don't remember? There was a time when you denied my Oreo's entry in OM . But now , you actually handled him so carefully with all heart . Huyi na giant cycle?!

As she popped her brows and exclaimed, Khanna smiled remembering that day .

K- ji mam yaad hai muje ! aur haan pinky mam had asked me to call her at once we find shivaay sir . One second ,

A- it's ok , I'll call her . Aap jaayiye .

K- ok mam.

Annika took her mobile and dialled for Pinky while shivaay expressed his happy face and muttered thanks to khanna.

A- yes aunty , haan . She wants to speak with you .

She passed the mobile to him .

S- mom .

P- shivaay , take care of her beta . If she's there with you in this moment , it's just for your sake .

Shivaay's eyes immediately fell on annika who was randomly looking out through the window. Indeed , the best birthday gift he had ever received is this feeling.

This feeling of being insanely loved , without any barriers, without any expectations .

S- pata hai mom .

A- shivaay , how much time will it take ? Dinner vahan jaake karenge?

Shivaay watched her innocent face and laughed immediately, making her frown .

A- what is there to laugh in this ?

S- hmm , is Goa your neighbour's house ? Take a turn and hola ! we're in Goa!?

A- stop mocking , I actually don't know . I've never been there before .

She shrugged her shoulders admitting it , for which he let a nod .

S- ok fine , don't worry . We'll be there by morning .

As soon as he finished, her eyes popped out in shock .

A- I didn't ask you the time taken to reach Delhi from here !

Shivaay just raised his brows and blinked once before concentrating on the road again . Her mouth opened like a huge wheel .

A- haww ! Am I so weak in geography? But I remember getting full ten marks in map marking, vahan tho goa and Mumbai looks close to the other but in real ...!

Annika kept talking to herself while shivaay had a pleasant smile wandering on his face throughout. He felt so calm after getting to witness this usual annika .

S- thank you annika .

Her thoughts were halted when he said this , she looked at him .

A- for ?

He took a few seconds before giving the reply .

S- for being with me .

Annika didn't react much to that as she just glanced him once and faced the side window again . The following few minutes remained quite until when he stopped the car somewhere .

A- where are we ?

S- you wanted dinner right ? Chalo .

Annika grinned watching a restaurant there .

Shivaay looked sad and disappointed when he saw her eating by herself, using her left hand . He watched his hand holding the spoon with food which he had actually picked for her . He realized , it's annika's basic nature to be talkative and cheerful . Just because she tends to speak with him causally, it doesn't mean that he has been forgiven already . Her character is like that, whatever happens, she isn't the one who would make stern faces and roam around with anger . Ignoring is not her thing .

She was eating the dish quietly when suddenly her throat started pointing hiccups. Shivaay pulled the glass away when she was going to take it.

A- arey iic , you know what punishment you'll get in hell if you don't help a thirsty person? Shivaay! icc

Annika stated rubbing her chest while shivaay shook his head in disbelief and called the waiter to tell him something. She almost froze when the waiter agreed to shivaay and walked away talking the water glasses with him .

A- iic , shi

She stopped her words when the waiter came back with a water bottle and gave it to her . Shivaay shrugged his shoulders quietly and resumed eating.

A- paani tho paani hai iic , kyun ? does this bottle contain the water of holy ganges ?! iic

S- annika , for your kind information you have to drink water now.

He rose his brows and insisted for she then remembered about her hiccups and drank some water .

But suddenly she stopped sipping it on realizing something.

A- oh god !

S- what ?

A- I forgot to tell my parents that I'm leaving ! iic

S- you are reacting as though I've actually kidnapped you , pehle paani tho piyo tum .

A- aise nahi iic, papa had said that he would come to visit me tomorrow tho

Soon her dress got wet when she choked and spat on herself .

S- lo , either you must talk or drink. Itni baathen karthi ho tho , aisa hi hoga .

He commented while patting  her head.  She kept coughing continuously.

A- arey , coughing sneezing choking...all these are natural. What's my fault in this now ! ?

She whined for  shivaay had a terrified face . What was the need to hold her coughs and give him this explanation now ? The word unbelievable was certainly invented to describe this girl only! he thought.

S- don't worry , you can call charu and tell her afterwards .She  already knows that I'm leaving to Goa . I told her that when she called to wish me today .

He emphasised the last sentence and stressed the word ' wish ' more to only  find no response from her . She nodded and kept wiping her wet skin with the napkin which he just passed to her .

It has been three hours since they had started from the hotel .

Annika turned back hearing Oreo's barks and low squeals. She opened the basket and peeped  to look on him .

A- No dinner for you today . You had so much of snacks at home already . Aur kuch kaoge tho I'm sure you'll throw up .

Shivaay chuckled instantly.

S- this is injustice, even you carry your mini stall with you everywhere. Do you ignore taking meals because you already had something from your mini stall  ?

A- I have no problem , you can very well feed him with whatever you want. But where will you find toilet for him if necessary , at this time ? In google map ?

She questioned passing a glance on him and then at Oreo when shivaay just remained tongue tied with his sight fixed on the road .

A- see , he has slept again . Such a lazy goose he his , just like charu !

S- tum bhi so jao annika , there's more time.

A- no !

She shook her head at once.

S- Don't tell me ! you aren't feeling sleepy?

A- not that , if I sleep then even you would feel sleepy . Phir accident hojayega.

Shivaay smiled confusedly.

S- sleep spread bhi hota hai ?

A- haan ! You know during my initial days when I started practising this hypnosis , I used to end up sleeping after watching the patient asleep .

As soon as she admitted this , shivaay laughed aloud .

S- don't worry, I'm not annika . You can sleep .

A- we shouldn't take risk shivaay . Annika can do it !

Declaring this , she kept her eyes wide open and turned the volume of the FM to maximum.

Shivaay felt as though he was inside some club , the high volume shouted that peppy song like anything. She frowned when he reduced the volume.

A- shivaay !

S- annika if you want to fight sleep , then keep talking to me but don't go for this option . My ears will burst !

A- kyun ? Acha gaana tho tha. You don't have any taste shivaay ,matlab if not this then what songs will you want to hear ? The sad ones ...? Then zaroor tum so jaoge , I was actually trying to be precuatious par tum tho

She stopped her train of words when he increased the volume back .

He let a huge sigh , this club option is far more better than her speaker box mouth .

Annika smirked for succeeding in persuading him .

The journey had more of music and much of her talks . For sure his ears were ready to bleed anytime .Well , there's no way he's going to sleep now . 10 to 11 hours of travel, how can he even expect the so very talkative annika to keep quite ? Impossible!

Somewhere , he actually liked it , enjoyed it . To have her along all for himslef .

Whatever it is , he loves to stay by and listen to her never ending talks all the time.

Shivaay stomped the break infront of a beautiful mansion . It was nearly 5 in the morning.

He looked beside to find her sleeping . No , his wife didn't fail in her task . It's just been a few minutes since the atmosphere became silent. How can she fail in the task of speaking?

But poor she couldn't hold longer when her  droopy eyes just pushed her to sleep . She had just slept without even realizing .

He came back after unlocking the door and carried her in his arms .

Oreo followed him inside and wandered around the new house excitedly while shivaay headed towards the bedroom .

Her hold around his neck remained tight still even after when he had placed her on the bed . Then , he himslef removed her hand and placed it on her stomach .

A peaceful feel engulfed him. She was the one who was sleeping but the calmness took over him in more .

Her curled up fingers caught his attention , he smiled before inserting his finger in there which she immediately gripped even in sleep . Such baby acts ...!

S- koi kissi ko itna pyaar bhi kar saktha hai kya ,jaise tum mujse karthi ho ...?

He couldn't help but leave a soft kiss on her palm .Tracing his nose by there on her knuckles he pressed another kiss near her wrist. Her head slightly moved when he did that but he soon palmed her head and caressed that spot softly to comfort her .

It was 11 .45 am when annika squeezed her eyes feeling the bright light on them . Only then she realized that she was'nt in OM now . A different room , she was in .

She tried to get up when his arm around her waist  resisted her . A faint smile captured her lips soon .

He had flipped himself on the bed with his face burried inside the pillow ,but his arm alone travelled to lie on her . Holding it in firm,  she slowly pulled his hand to leave it on the bed .

The scene of those beautiful tide waves looked enchanting. She so loved the beach view from the balcony . A quite place surrounded with nothing but the wonderful nature , this is going to be interesting .

She stood there admiring the sight and engulfing those breezy winds on her but failed to notice the other pair of blue eyes which were again admiring but not the same thing though .

He walked to stand beside her . Her smile told him that she liked this place  .

A- I was thinking what  I would do when I'm alone after you leave for work ,  I got the answer now !

She grinned watching the beach when he replied immediately.

S- no !

Annika rolled her eyes .

A- you tend to behave like Mr . Raghav at times you know?

S- I know , but listen to me . You aren't doing that.

A- I'm not a baby shivaay .

S-   you have a fractured arm . Remember that for God's sake ! I'll take you there everyday but you won't go alone , and if you want anything the security will get it for you or you can call me . Understood ?

She frowned at his strict reaction .

A- now you totally look like my father , chod ! Where's my bag ? I've to change .

S- still in car .

She opened the door and picked the bag with her left hand even when he insisted so much that he'll carry it for her .  She just denied shaking her head and went inside the house .  He couldn't take that , this kind of invisible bridge which she's so into building inbetween them.

Both were arranging their things inside the cupboard  quietly.  Annika couldn't stop the smile which surrounded her face watching his stuffs and things being kept beside her's ,moreover now it felt like home for her .

When she casually looked aside , something caught her attention .

Some photo frame was there inside his bag . Before he could take it , she picked it up .

She was surprised on watching the frame which actually contained their couple photo taken on the reception day .

A- this ...?

S- vo , when you denied from coming with me I didn't know what to do. Teri yaad aayegi na tho

He glanced the frame in her hands and admitted  . Her reactions changed hearing this.

A- I was so rude right ? I'm sorry.

Shivaay shook his head lightly when she apologised.

S- no , it's fine . Now you're here , I'm happy ! Aur , tumhara gussa bhi teek hoga because ham baath bhi

She interrupted him soon ,

A- what do you think shivaay ? I'm being so normal with you,  I'm talking to you  , tho annika has forgotten everything? That doesn't mean that I keep vengeance in me and roam around concealing it,  aisa nahi . Mein ...mein kyun aise hoon ...even I don't know . Can you even think how much enraged I would have been to slap you like that ? Maybe you didn't do anything intentionally , but vo anger vo dard mujme ab bi hai . Bool nahi sakthi mein , even if I think of that second now...muje...! , but I can't sit with extremities and keep ignoring you . Annika aise nahi hai . Bahut greedy hoon mein , I couldn't stay there without you but with you , I couldn't forget those hurting emotions too . So complicating haina , alien type ?

She let a weak chuckle at last , he blinked to nod in negation .

S- so complicating nahi  , zyada khoobsurat hai tumhari emotions .

She watched him in confusion .

S-  Tum greedy nahi ho annika , tum kuch aur ho . Someone so unique and special   !

She watched him bluntly.

He exclaimed and took his hands to hold her cheek without noticing which she had turned around already .

A- I'll go and change .

Taking a set of clothes, she walked to the washroom after placing the frame on the table carelessly.

If only he hadn't picked it from there at the right time , it would have already fell down and gone into pieces. He then kept it on the small table beside the bed  and knelt before to see it .

S- hamare beech sab jaldi teek hojayega annika.

In the arithmetics of love , one plus one equals everything and two minus one equals nothing 💘
