It's the first time for her , sensing the real horror between life and death. Ofcourse she's an experienced doctor but this , is different. Choosing this carrier has always made her feel good . To have a chance in changing people , which even they couldn't have done if not with her . Life presented her a numerous kind of people , their problems, their life tales , she read through it and helped them in certain possible ways.

But after knowing Arjun's state , she couldn't hold herself. Only then she realized what a light hearted person she actually is . All these days she had been thinking , she's a brave young woman but a crucial medical condition was here to break her pride and give her the real taste of life . She fell vulnerable thinking, fearing she might not be able to help her patient this time.

It's time for her failure , her patient is suffering and she could do nothing about it.
Annika hardly even felt herself as she was in deep sadness thinking of all odds which surrounded arjun this minute . She remained frozen in shock and it took her a few minutes to revive from the shock .

Her pupils shook and her eyes started shrinking in discomfort when she felt someone leaning on , hugging her . Within the next few seconds she jolted off to separate herself from him and moved back immediately. She kept glaring at him to soon realize he wasn't actually looking at her rather somewhere behind her is where his eyes were fixed .

Annika followed his sight and looked bewildered when she found shivaay behind . He seemed red in anger . And before she could even comprehend things, shivaay jumped forward in no time and started beating the hell out of Arjun . Annika was thrilled , she didn't even know how to control him as he behaved like some beast out of cage .

A- shivaay , shivaay !

Her strength did no help as each time she tried holding him , he resisted her effortlessly and continued punching him . Arjun on the other side didn't remain idle for long , both fought the war equally .

S- how dare you !!

Catching hold of his head , shivaay gave a sharp slap on his cheek for it took a few moments for arjun to recover from that . Those clinging noises of echo kept playing in his ear and just then shivaay gave another punch on his nose . On hearing annika's scream the Dean came there , he was shocked by the sight infront and ran to save arjun from shivaay who was behaving like some psycho.

' Arjun !! Stop , stop it! '

He grabbed arjun from behind and annika made use of this chance to pull shivaay to herself. Shivaay jolted off her hands and attempted to harm him again but she just hugged him from behind holding his abdomen tight and pulled him back at once .

A- shivaay are you insane !

Pushing him towards the wall she stood there in between the two guys. Shivaay didn't maintain sight with her rather he was still pointing his enraged eyes at arjun .

' you didn't believe me when I told you , see what he has done now . Are you going to defend your husband again Dr.Annika ?'

The Dean spat in anger as he was too much scared after watching his boy being beaten up like that . He helped arjun sit on the couch and fed him some water .

A- what is this shivaay!

He cringed when she started questioning him instead of arjun. The way he behaved with her , is that alright for her ? Shivaay gritted his teeth and punched the wall so hard that the skin over his knuckles had blood patches already. He knew who arjun actually is ,and what he feels for annika so obviously he couldn't just stand back and watch when arjun keeps manhandling her.

For a second he felt some demon taking over his mind for real , blood boiling and he did feel the hot air around him . Such was how his body reacted from within on witnessing something like that . He couldn't control himself and yes , this is the truth .

S- what are you doing here annika ?

Taking a few minutes to pull back himself together, he crushed his eyes once before spelling out these words slowly . Annika could literally feel the terror hidden beneath the calm voice he was faking.

' I'm calling the police!'

He dropped the phone he just fetched on seeing Shivaay's dagger like eyes piercing him as knives . He bent down and gathered all the parts from the floor without moving his sight up . Annika was petrified when she saw arjun's nose bleed , she looked at shivaay for a second before moving towards the couch .

A- are you , are you ok ?

Her hands trembled as she fetched the tissue and passed it to him. And soon she wriggled like a wild cat on hearing some shattering noise . Her eyes slowly travelled from the broken pieces of the vase till him .

S- I'm waiting outside annika .

Mentioning this he walked fast to just stop by the door and spare a last fine terrorizing glare at Arjun before moving out from there . That kind of stare speaks, and it spoke much enough that arjun actually felt those chills after meeting shivaay eye to eye.

He gulped deep and kept pressing the tissue on his nose . Annika watched him worriedly, she held his head and tilted it so that it remains in elevation. She then crushed the tissues to small bundles and pressed them inside his nostrils.

' I'm not going to leave your husband Dr !'

Ar- uncle please , stop this .

A- I'm sorry , I don't know why he ...I'm really sorry arjun .

Ar- annika , annika it's ok . This , is nothing. It doesn't even hurt anymore and all I'm worried about now is ,you .

She watched him confusedly when he pointed her.

Ar- I mean I don't even know if I can say this, but shivaay ...don't you think he's toxic ?

Annika frowned and took her hands off his head immediately.

Ar - please don't take me wrong , I know you both love each other but , but at times he , shivaay totally loses it . He can't accept certain things , maybe he suspects you and

A- enough arjun ,you've spoken enough.

She stopped him right then and there as she didn't have the patience to hear any of his nonsense.

A- you have no rights to talk about shivaay like that . I know him.

Annika got angry when he gave a faint silly chuckle in response .

Ar- you can be the great psychiatrist here annika , but as a man I know how a man would think at situations like these . You can't understand men .And I don't want you to go through trouble cause of him, I'm just alerting you because you're very important to me .

As much as he tried to maintain eye contact with her while he spoke the last sentence, she didn't for once cooperate rather she just kept staring at the floor in anger. She didn't like this conversation at all .

A- please take care of yourself , I'll see you soon .

Muttering these , she walked out from there .

Ar - annika , annika

He leant back on the couch and sighed in defeat when she hardly spared a sight at him while leaving.

A- did you beat him yesterday?

It was she who broke the silence first . His grip on the wheels remained as tight and hard as how he kept those teeth gritted for the sharp jawline looked transparent out of his skin .

S- you left the wedding to meet him ?

A- I asked you something shivaay .

S- answer me first .

A- shivaay why did you beat him yesterday, you know in what condition he is ?

S- really ? I'm sorry I didn't dance and celebrate with him when he said he loves you , my wife !

A- you ...you knew ?

Shivaay was even more shocked when she asked this question ,so she knows ...?

Shivaay couldn't complete it , he just tightened his fist and banged it on the wheels once . While annika on the other side fell disturbed by his words .

Is he actually questioning her behaviour this time ? 'You can't understand men annika' arjun's words started haunting her mind . He seemed to have come to a conclusion with his own sort of judgment, she thought. Soon her eyes started tearing up , she was angry , hurt , confused , restless , everything.

A- so finally you've come to suspect me now , don't you trust me shivaay ?

S- what !

He stomped the break to make a sudden stop and looked at her immediately in shock . A screeching noise was heard when the vehicle stopped and she cringed not liking that sound at all .

A- you beat him yesterday because you came to know he loves me and you beat him today because you saw him hugging me . And now what , you want me to clarify things ? There's nothing between

She stopped in between and didn't speak after seeing him show the back of his palm instantly , he still had his hand hanging there at a quiet distance from his ear. He made her halt there and pressed the other palm on his face as if he was trying to wipe off something.

S- annika stop imagining things , I didn't mean that .

A- you don't just have to use words to mean things you know , there are quite a lot of other ways too . Your behaviour, it speaks.

He crushed his eyes and sighed before speaking further .

S- you're exaggerating things annika .

A- thanks for making our first anniversary like this , I won't ever forget this day .

S- annika please , please stop this ! As if you're the only one in pain here . After all these days why do I suddenly feel you never understood me ?

A- you can't blame me shivaay, you're temper started all this .

He didn't speak a word after that , to be honest , he couldn't .

He was hurt ,deeply .

Annika waited outside for a second , she wiped her wet face and made herself presentable before opening the door and entering inside . She was soon taken into a tight bone crushing hug the next moment . Charu cried her heart out leaning on her completely while annika who was totally bewildered watched Praniti with the same reaction .

C - sorry I shouted at you , my fault.

A- ek minute , are you dr dreaming behna? I know fuctions ki chakkar mei you couldn't sleep well the last few days but wake up ! It's not time for your bidaai yet . Arey, who sleeps with all the make up on you stupid. Ghost lagogi phir .

Charu who was actually crying all this time chuckled a bit and hit her back in response. Annika then saw Praniti coming forward to say something.

Pr- I'm sorry annika .

A- prani aunty ...? What happened to you all ? Is this some sorry day or what , is some prank going on then ?

Charu smacked her head immediately and pulled back .

C- chup kar pagal .

A- mein ?

Pr- we know why you didn't attend the functions annika , we know what Dhruv asked of you. I'm really sorry annika , he shouldn't have done that.

Annika's reaction changed as soon as Praniti revealed this . She then slowly moved her sight towards charu who looked so emotional right now . Annika wiped her tears and shook her head insisting her to stop crying.

A- how ?

C - shivaay

A- shivaay ?

She could only whisper that word with the least of her voice, and charu nodded narrating everything which happened a while ago .

Pr- we all would've never known this if shivaay hadn't opposed Dhruv . I apologize on his behalf annika , what he did is a big mistake . Sorry.

A- aunty , aunty please it's ok. Don't feel upset please , it's our Adi's wedding you shouldn't...wait , Adi knows ?

Charu gave a slight nod when annika kept watching her in keen .

Pr - he was fighting with his father all this time , he's very angry .

Charu twitched her lips making an annoyed sound and looked away .

A- haan perfect , vamp vaali stares are just your things I have to admit .

C- annika you!

She turned this side and that side to soon fetch a perfume bottle to throw at annika who instantly ran out of the room not before shouting something.

A- don't worry aunty, I'll bring Adi .

She stopped for a moment before walking forward after seeing him coming towards her . Annika felt a sudden nervousness surrounding her , she gulped a few times as he came close . She almost said something when he was just near her but he just walked past her silently as if he didn't notice her there . She took a few more steps forward but stopped and looked back but shivaay didn't acknowledge it at all , he seemed busy with something. Annika stood there and thought for a few seconds before moving from there .

A- may I come in ?

Ar- don't.

She shook her head and sighed on hearing his loud announcement.

A- I will !

Pushing the door inwards ,annika jumped her way in to only find him lying on the bed and staring at the ceiling.

A- monkey it's already time , come on get up . Get ready man !

She held his hand and dragged him up .

A- haww! I clearly planned and put all my effort in stealing your shoes before even the function begins , how did you find it ? Rasam shuru hone se pehle hi katam huwa!!

Annika whined after finding his shoes kept at the corner .

Ad - yeah , you planned it so well to avoid doing it during the wedding , right ?

She opened and closed her mouth a few times when he commented like that .

A- no way , promise! I was just . I just wanted to play with you , not like

Ad - you could've talked to me , you should have talked to me .

He jolted off her hands and spoke emphasizing his words while annika watched him seriously.

A- Adi, see listen to me

Ad - I won't. You were ready to avoid us right, go then . Leave .

A- monkey stop acting like a child . Chod na

He glared hard at her and she didn't dare to look at him .

Ad - hmm , chod? What if I did the same to you , would you have been ok with that ?

A- meri shaadi , Kahan tum tho already charu ko leke gaayaab hogayi thei na . You did do this to me too , but wait , maybe you could'nt have known my wedding would happen that day . Guess what, even I didn't know !

Adi slowly moved his sight from the floor till her when she giggled saying this . Her lips soon deviated back from contributing in that smile as soon as she saw his stare .

Ad - mazaak lagraha tumhe ?

This time she couldn't even say anything , he seemed so upset . She remained quiet for sometime before speaking.

A- I'm sorry monkey.

She expressed holding his hand within her's but be hardly even reacted .

A- sorry !

Annika shook his hand stressing the word but he still remained unbothered .

A- sorry jiju ...!!

He cringed on hearing this and she almost cracked up watching his reaction .

Ad - even I behaved like an idiot and misunderstood you , I

A- that's ok jiju, you don't have to apologize.

Ad- excuse me ! That was because of you and your stupidness , why should I apologize for that .

A- fine Mr.Moneky now we're really getting late . Let me help you with things here , sit down .

She pressed his shoulders to make him sit , and ran to bring the glossy decorated turban. Adi watched her in wonder as she combed his hair perfectly before fixing that turban on his head . He did feel guilty for acting without understanding her that time. Not his fault as he never expected that his father would do something like that . Still , she tolerated all that without saying anything just so that this wedding happens on a complete good note.

A- did they give any sword ? The groom would carry one right , where is it ?

She wandered her eyes around the room and turned to go search for it but he held her hand immediately .

A- kya huwa monkey

Adi just stood behind her quietly , pressing his forehead on her shoulder .

A- ohho bidaai start bi nahi hui and people here have already become senti , save some tears for later use my dear monkey. With behna in your life , you would definitely need them.

He didn't seem to get diverted .

Ad - thank god shivaay found out , orelse we the dumbest would've never cracked it anytime .

Annika didn't know how and why , but as soon as she heard his name , she had fresh tears in her eyes . She closed her eyes tight to hold them back . And when Adi tried to come infront, she held his hands tightly restricting him from moving. She didn't want him to notice her state now . Gulping in a few times she looked up to arrest those tears from falling down .

A- you've gone through so much to make this day happen , forget all the bitter memories and live the day Monkey.
