First of all ,this chapter doesn't have shivika content .  Some new characters are brought up here . Once the book forwards further ,it would contain a  lot of shivika :)

The marriage date was nearing and everyone were fully fledged with works.

Annika who still couldn't push herself into things which clearly declared the fact that her love would just remain one sided forever,but she tried to come out of it and act normal. Special mention - she hasn't forgotten him , just that she knows....he has no feelings for her . But this stormful craze which bloomed for the unique blue eyed man ,wouldn't ever revert back and she was so sure in that. For her, love was a beautiful feeling which brings magics within ,but it was definitely not a deal to exchange with .

True that it was painful for her to sit right at home witnessing all preparations going on which all screamed that he could never become her's .

Fate plays worst sometimes, isn't it ?

She had also decided to leave the city after the wedding . However strong she is , the very reason of being a human itself is enough to claim pain knowing that someone you love to live through heart would never be your's. Poor she ,couldn't be so practical and take things normally.

Early morning ,

A- aunty , I was expecting you since long before and you show up just a day before the wedding? So mean ,

She pouted frowning and stood folding her hands near her chest ,showing her disappointment.

" beta ,even we wanted to come earlier. Par pata nahi ,Adi's dad was caught with some important work at the last minute and we couldn't make it "

She stated and annika still maintained that grumpy face ,she wanted to show her disappointment. True that she missed her aunty so much !  Praniti was their family friend, she had always maintained a tenderly loving relationship with annika and charu. 

Charu came running straight from her room and hugged Praniti tightly.

A- arey, I stayed all awake knowing that you'd reach here anytime ...and you hug this sack bag who started her nap so soon fearing of eye bags!  Not fair,

She complained and jumped to join the hug along . Praniti had to take few steps back to balance herself . These two sisters were crushing her from either sides ,

A/C - I missed you so much!

Saying which they both kissed her cheecks, Meena just stood adoring her daughters who were so attached with her friend.  Why wouldn't they? They weren't only friends rather neighbours too.Since years both the families lived together and it was only when Praniti's son Adi had to leave to UK for his studies, they shifted .

A- aunty, where is he ? Don't tell me he didn't come ,

She asked pulling back from the hug and charu looked keen at Praniti immediately.

P-  he's coming with his papa. He'll be here around this evening.

A- what's this aunty? Today is charu's bachelorette party ! He should've been here na ? If not now ,then kab milega aisa chance ?

She complained like a kid while charu stood quite, reacting nil.

P- you don't have to worry, he's coming for sure this time . Not like all those days where he'd end you up at the airport ,you know ...he just loves to play prank on you !

A- pata hai ,but dekiye aunty, Even I ain't any less ,let him come first.

She smirked ,while praniti and meena smiled.

In a  group of three besties ,two join up together to irritate the third , universal thing...isn't it ? That's exactly their case.
Aditya ,Annika and Charuka ...the three fevicol bonded buddies ,where the A square duo remain the similar version of the other with gender being the only difference . And poor charu was the third one who had to put up with all the madness they pull off  every time!

If not her  Adi who had helped in signing all those progress reports during her school days ,annika would have had a really tough time dealing with her parents for low grades . And charu had to play a protective shield defending the both from their parents . These three had spent their entire childhood together. 

Will we ever forget our  childhood , those stressfree  joyous days!

Annika and charu hit the bed ,resuming their sleep after a lengthened session of chats with Praniti .

It was when charu squirmed in her sleep ,she heard an alarm noise which rang continuously.  Annika who was engrossed in her sleep knew nothing,

C- what sort of noise is this? Chain se so bhi nahi sakthi iss ghar mei,

She frowned and shifted positions stuffing the pillow close to her ears saving herself  from that irritating sound . But then she noticed that it didn't stop rather it rang continuously for a long time ,something striked her .

C- annika utt! utt annika ! It's fired somewhere in our building, can't you hear the alarm. Utt !

She tried waking her ,and annika just shook and turned .

A- charu ...maybe you're dealing with a firehouse in your nightmare? It's far better when compared with this snake house which scares me every night . Chup chap leto,

She spoke in her half sleepy voice and charu could do nothing but give a slight slap on her sister's face .

She's shouting here and this girl thinks that it's her nightmare for which she's tensed .

C- annika get up !

She shouted again   ,

A- what's your problem charu?

She asked  while squeezing her eyes which crushed small ,defending from the lamp light .

C- pagal ladki, it's the fire alert! Can't you hear ?

Annika's eyes widened in horror on concentrating on the noise ,

A- aaag!!!...baag!

Both threw the duvets instantly and ran out .

They both stood horrified noticing something at once they opened their room door. Sweat beads surrounded their skin immediately when they found a creepy figure standing right infront of the door ,the hall was extremely dark but they could actually witness this scary figure alone.

A/C- ahhhh!

Both shrieked loud simultaneously, holding each other's hand tight.

The next second they heard a huge laughter sound,when all the lights went on and the alarm noise stopped .

Both stood shocked when the person was revealed to be Adi, as he removed the mask and continued his laughter making them squint their eyes in anger .

Ad- bahut dar gayi?

He asked faking his concern and laughed again , while annika immediately punched him hard on his arms making him wince .

Ad- ahh annika ,it's paining .

A- tho ,kya hehee kar rahi ho ? Donkey! You just scared the hell out of me man , you know... I started ranting mantras in my mind watching this.( she took the mask from his hands )

Ad- haha! It's been so long right ? So thought of playing a bit !

He winked and instantly his wide smile settled down when his eyes fell on charu who was staring at him .

Ad- Hi charu!

Wishing her ,he forwarded for a  hug  but halted watching her  extending her hand instead, to shake hands with him .

C- Hi,

They shook hands formally and before he could speak anything further ,annika crushed him in a tight hug .

A- aditya !!! Finally !

Ad- it's like ages ,haina ?

A- you wanted to leave , mein yahi thi !( she smacked his head )acha ye bathao,  so you made aunty lie that you'd reach later to play this  ? Haan?

She crooked her eyes faking anger and he blinked immediately. 

A- yelo ,tera icecream.

Ad- I want a strawberry ,

He claimed ,

A- but you always prefer chocolate na ?

She argued before giving him the pink one . Charu looked at him once and turned soon,

Ad - things change .

He muttered to himself and savored the cone,

A- and here's your favourite strawberry.

She passed it to charu and took her seat beside .

They were seated on the slab counter at the terrace ,their ever own spot. Annika was centred by the other two on either sides.

A- adi, you look a big bear with this black beard covering your face ! Vaja kya hai iske piche? Devdas ban gaye ho?

She asked  and giggled, while he let a weak chuckle.

C- annika , I'm feeling tired . Mein chalthi hoon,

She jumped down the slab,

A- hey charu, ruk na ? It's been years since we three had joined up here . Plss !

She insisted holding her hand, but charu shook .

C- plss anni, ab nahi . I'm feeling so sleepy  ,

She stated coming out from her hold and left downstairs.  Adi  just looked  at her slowly disappearing figure ,annika hit straight on his stomach with her elbow to retain him .

A- where are you lost ?

He shook his head and wound his elbow around her neck,

Ad- acha ye bathao, tera vo Prince ....mili!

He asked excitedly and instantly her reactions changed to an idle mode.

Those ocean eyes flashed all around her mind taking her into deep thoughts.

Ad- I guess you've found someone! Who's that unlucky man haan?

He giggled and she smiled weakly ,

A- unlucky vo nahi ...mein hoon .

She said in a low voice and he looked at her serious. But soon she concealed everything within and put up a bright face ,

A- vo sab chodo ,what's your story behind this devdasi ?

She asked poking her finger into his cheecks,

Ad- nothing special. Just like every other kahaani  ,

He mentioned and leaned on her shoulder,

A- aww ,tu bhi mere category mei gir chukki ho . Bahut painful category hai bhai... It's ok, let's  do cheers  for our mutual friendshipgoals atleast!

She said with a wide smile and cheered ,hitting their cones together.
