He stopped filling her plate when she indicated him to hold just immediately after when he had  begun . There was hardly any food on her plate . Shivaay was getting furious now  .

A- enough, I'm not hungry.

The other two seated there watched everything silently while shivaay kept the container with a thud to bang it on the table, making a loud noise . She just blinked tightly and looked away . Adi had a guilty reaction on his face, he inched close to annika and held her hand for she looked at him confusedly.

Ad- sorry annika , I shouldn't have... I always bring trouble to you. Even now , we came here because , we wanted to share our happy news with you first ,  you're the only one who... ! I don't know what to say . I spoiled everything, I'm really sor

His words went incomplete when she suddenly dumped a big banana inside his mouth ,making him look a real chimpanzee. After all , Adi is her  best friend. That guilty face ,she didn't like at all .

A- I know that you monkey would start to blabber in hunger  , stop your senti baathein and eat first .

Ad - nahi annika I

A- okay baba , sorry accepted ! Am I some church's father for you're admitting all your sins and apologies  to me now ? Chup chap kao !

Adi nodded obediently and started eating.

Charu who noticed shivaay's silence , spoke .

C - finally , war is over now . So

Ad - war is over ?!!

Charu raised her eyebrows and shook her head , watching his grin .

C- not for you Mr , I'm not annika to fall for your false apologies.  This isn't the first time , so I'm not going to leave you just like that . I was talking about these two , shivaay chod dho na ye silent war.

Adi gulped after seeing her threatening eyes while shivaay stopped eating and took a sip of water .

S- even now I really don't know why I'm being pushed? I should be convinced here , don't forget.

He uttered the last few words staring at annika, who took no seconds to reply back .

A- convince you ? for what ?! For not filling your glasses with wine when you had already returned throat full ?

S- why do you portray me as one big alcoholic annika ? I still don't realize why you're overreacting!

C- guys guys please,  let's forget it . Stop fighting now .

Ad - vahi tho , ye donon ham se bi

He halted his words when charu narrowed her eyes at him .

A- yeah , fine . I'm overreacting ! Who drove the car yesterday? ...forget it, anyways both were drunk.

She pushed the plate and stood up to leave the dine immediately , watching which shivaay sighed .

Ad - annika , annika ruk na .

Adi followed her behind till the balcony . Charu immediately turned back at shivaay who dropped the spoon right then , which made a clear  noise .

C- shivaay , hold your anger and try to understand her once .

S- really charu ? Tum bhi !

C - shivaay , please ignore all your attitude and ego for a second . That's of no help now .

S- I really don't understand anything charu , jab meine kuch nahi kiya then why should I surrender! Aur tum bolthi ho , no attitude. Sorry charu , I can't.

Ad - annika , I think this is too much . Bas kar na , speak to him kindly .

A-  you heard him yesterday right? he thinks that I'm controlling  him , that I want to dominate him . Ab mein kuch bi kahun na , he would still say the same . Jaise ki , mein , I'm some female version of Hitler!

Adi exhaled deeply and looked behind to find charu holding the same reaction as him .

C- everything is because of you !

She muttered gritting her teeth for which Adi looked down sadly .

A- charu it's ok , chod .

C - hmm , you can act really kind and patient with this idiot but not shivaay . Haina ?

A- I know you would very well support your friend only .

C - support nahi stupid , tum....rehne dho.  How much ever arguments  can happen , ho chukka hai . Ab please let's forget all this and hangout somewhere na ? It's my first visit to goa ,and will you not take me anywhere?

Charu stretched the word to persuade her and annika agreed immediately.

A- fine , but where ?

C - who lives here ?

A - arey , as if I'm some guide roaming around the city with pamphlets. Atleast if I was able to converse with the neighbours,  I would have known something par yahan tho , they act like I'm some dragon or alien dropped from the spaceship . Pata hai ? Yesterday , I somehow got myslef at the neighbour's garden,  chasing  oreo . Vahan na , those red roses were so beautiful that I couldn't stop myslef from plucking one . Lo , owner dek liye !  The way he stared at me na ...as if I had committed some huge bank heist ! Such cunning people .

Ad - then?

A- haan then I

C - enough of this story telling session . Annika go get ready.

A- hmm  , adi I'll tell you afterwards and not only that , there's even an old woman in that house . And she ,

Before she could speak further charu put her palm on annika's mouth .

C- annika !

A - independence ka koi matlab hi nahi hai , I can't even speak to my friend now . She comes all the way to support her friend and vouch for him but I ...

Charu almost felt like fainting when annika walked away, speaking to herself.

Ad - it's ok annika , we , we'll go together.  Tab

Charu didn't waste a moment before giving one nice knock on his head. He winced aloud and rubbed his head .

Ad - ahhh! What for ?

C- you've done enough , dare you go with annika . Shivaay will bring her , and we go in a separate car ok ?

Ad - so someone wants privacy haan ?!

He winked and stepped close. Just when he was about to hold her waist , she jumped to stomp on his leg .

Ad- ahh !! Monster ho tum charu !

C- stop day dreaming.  Privacy for them , not for us . Already you had spoiled everything,  so chup chap mere saath aajao.

She threatened him and Adi cringed in pain , bending down to hold his leg .

Ad - ohh so all this is for their patch up ?

C - hmm .

Ad - what about our's then ? Deko, it's hurting very much . If you don't pacify me then , I...you might have to face the worst consequences .

C - do whatever you want .

Saying this , she walked away and Adi slowly hopped to follow her .

Ad - hey charu , I was just kidding.  Wait !

She opened her eyes to seek the reason behind the suddenly reduced volume and let a huge sigh on seeing his fingers scrolling the volume down .

A- shivaay ! !

He rolled his eyes , hearing her whine .

S - annika please , I can't even hear the horn sound. This volume is fine , I hope your ears work well , so this will do .

A- excuse me , obviously I have no problem in my ears unlike you!

S- kya ?

A - peeche vo lorry driver dhoom machale tune ko horn rakkar baar baar tanananana tananana tananana ... itni zhor se baja raha hai ki even I stopped singing ainvayi and ranted dhoom machale twice in between . And here , you're telling me that you couldn't hear that horn sound ,  who has got ear problem now ? me?

Shivaay for a second looked frozen ,he didn't even focus on the traffic signal . His mind just had this one question running in it , what's that of which her tongue is made ?

S- fine leave that , all the people on the road are giving me a weird look  . Such noisy

She interrupted him soon .

A- phir ? You want me to listen to this song in volume 2 ? Peppy song ko dummy song bana dega tu ,and vaise bi they aren't peeping to see your face rather to check which radio station we have tuned to , so that they can even change the channel and enjoy the song !

She gave a confident reply and smirked noticing all which he blinked slowly with a smile .

S- annika , your explanations are super cool and good but sometimes I think you should listen to me too .

A- leave it shivaay , you're always never gonna agree with me in anything so ...

Without completing the sentence,  she just shrugged her shoulders and turned her sight outside, through the window .

Ad - what do you think ? Your plan worked ?

He questioned charu who was now keenly trying to notice shivaay's car at the signal.

C - I don't know , they are talking and

Ad - wait a minute,  they or she alone ?

C - yeah , she's saying something  .

Ad - hmm, annika has a very good habit of speaking to herself , so don't misjudge anything. 

C - you're right but no ...even shivaay's conversing.

She replied while focusing at them .

Ad - good improvement ! Don't worry, they would have spoken and solved everything.

C - I hope so.

Charu passed a nod .

They stopped at the Aguada Fort . With high hopes, Adi and Charu waited for shivika to return after parking the car . Finally,  they arrived .

S - your music knowledge is sick .

A- mine ? You sure must be like those who fall for western and English songs much.  See , even I like them but desi gaane ka maza hi kuch aur hai . I'm planning to delete those ish - wish songs in your ipod first .

S- and fill it with your so very peppy hits? Oh please !

A - tasteless budhu ho tum shivaay .

S- hmm , yeah yeah , I'm tasteless , earless , eyeless , instead of going one by one , let's make it to the point na ? Senseless !! Kuch aur bi hai annika ?

Adi and Charu were totally bewildered after watching this scene .

C- guys ! Shivaay you resemble more like annika than yourself now .

Charu commented while trying to bite her smile.

S- ye hona hi tha , chalien ?

He insisted looking at annika who responded with a subtle smile . Well , she couldn't agree more with charu  . Shivaay did behave like her .

C -  such a nice place ! I always wanted to visit goa you know ?

Keeping her gaze on the ocean , she pressed her elbows on the wall and leaned lightly . Adi who was busy clicking some pictures by her side, nodded immediately.

Ad - hmm ! Nice tho hai , but the place where we had visited last night was something else . Goa is the best place for party yaar , I must say .

Realizing what he had just uttered , Adi made a slow turn to soon  witness  her glare.  He shook his head in full force.

Ad - you misunderstood me , actually what I meant was

She cut his words by throwing her arms on his shoulders.  He crushed his eyes thinking that he was going to receive a punch now .

C - you know what I love the most in you ?

Adi again shook his head in negation.

C - tum ek pagal ho .

He frowned noticing her smile.

Ad - now , is this a compliment or ...

C - deka ? You are mad !

Saying this she immediately pulled him in a warm hug, and he grinned , showing his every tooth .

A - shivaay shivaay please haan , this one this filter will be awesome  trust me .

S - I don't use filters annika , not needed .

A - just once, wait .

She swiped through the options and selected one before bringing the mobile infront of his face .

Shivaay was thrilled after watching himslef groomed as one indian bride with jewels and lipstick and bindi and what not ! Before he could stop her , she clicked it .

S- annika , annika delete  it !

She started stepping back when he tried to snatch the mobile .

A- arey , pictures are memories shivaay  . Let it be. By the way , ...you really look  beautiful in this .

She spoke while trying to stop her laughter which seemed to take no hold for now . But he didn't agree though .

S- nahi annika, I don't want such a memory . Delete it .

A- am I telling you to keep it as your DP in WhatsApp? Come on man .

Shivaay shook his head in horror by even the thought of doing what she just said .

S- annika , no. I very well know how to take it from you , so don't try to act smart now and give it to me anni.

She pretended to hardly care and just giggled .

A- yeah really ?  Actually I'm thinking of keeping it as the caller image!!

Annika soon hit the wall behind and there he was , right infront . Caught .

She could actually feel her chest waving front and back to hit his , within every second.  Such near he stood .

His stubble on the chin wandered on her forehead gracefully, as she had kept her head tilted down . She closed and opened her eyes within small intervals on getting to feel his presence in her skin .

She almost shrinked and fell cold when he touched her waist pleasurably. He  enjoyed to seek her reactions for his every touch , so he performed  these processes slowly.  He then pressed his hold to get a good grip of her hip ,in reflex , she crushed his blazer tightly . 

Shivaay almost squeezed that spot lightly as he picked and positioned her on the wall to sit . She nervously  looked around at the sea behind . He noticed this and wounded his hands around her to lock them behind her waist , feeling which she looked at him slowly.

S- mein idhar hi hoon .

She blinked showing a smile before turning aside to have a good sight of the ocean and didn't fail to grip his shoulder even . He smiled noticing her  left hand pressed to his shoulder where some of her fingers worked to hold the mobile even .

Taking this chance  , he slowly fiddled with her fingers to get the phone . And since she was totally carried away with her sight somewhere else  , she hardly felt this but soon comforted her hand on his shoulder after releasing the mobile .

A - shivaay ye

She stopped speaking after noticing his work while he casually deleted the picture and showed his wide smile to her .

S- I told you right ? I have my own ways .

A - cheater cock sorry cat!

Narrowing her brows , she gave a light punch on his shoulder. 

S - don't worry dear , we can take as many pictures as you want but one condition .

A- what ?

S- I'll click.

A- so smart haan ?

S- obviously!

She twisted her lips and made a stern face.

A- nahi chahiye kuch,  I'm going to click only selfies . Give it to me .

S - just itna sa punishment? Lo .

He gave it to her .

S- hey wait , first get down first . You can't balance .

A- if I had to capture the building alone , I would have clicked at our terrace itself.  Matlab , full sea capture karna haina shivaay .

S - annika , you won't be able to balance. So get down , stand and click. If at all you want to sit , we both

A- no thanks !

She jumped down .

Annika turned around and danced to get an aesthetically good selfie for her new DP .

Shivaay then noticed Charu standing alone , a little away from there .
He checked on annika once before moving towards charu  .

S- where's Adi ?

She turned back .

C - busy in a call . So , what's she saying ? All good ?

She quizzed popping her brows and looked at annika once,  for which shivaay exhaled deeply .

S- I don't know  , matlab I really have a doubt that annika has this multiple personality thing.

Shivaay himslef chuckled after stating this.

C - I agree that I'm your friend but I can't stand anything against my sister too haan. So watch your words buddy .

She gave this warning with a playful smile on her lips .

S - fine vo sab chod , and tell me this . She is very broad minded and outspoken in everything but why does this alcohol alone remains to be such a serious issue with her ?

C- you could have asked her that right ?

S- I would have , but at one she herself has forgotten everything and seemed normal . So I didn't want to disturb her again .

C - hmm , she is perfect and excellent in doing that . Diversion , ek baath mei hazaron bathein dikthi hai usse .

Both shared smiles after when she said this .

C - shivaay , you were right . She is broad minded , but she too has some restrictions and laws of her own choice.  Hamare family ...I mean maa and papa , we four are  very normal people . Our parties  used to start with a cake and end with delicious food , that's it . The only drinks we've known are coke ,Pepsi and all that . According to her drinking alcohol is ...is a very big thing.  And if you take her profession  , as a psychiatrist she has treated so many patients and she has seen many addicts whose lives ended to worst . So whether you drink a sip or a full bottle , she won't care because on the whole  you've drunk , that's all she would grasp at the end . She kind of looks bluntly blind here , but that's how she is and she expects none to bring any changes to her . It's her rules .

Shivaay listened to her explanation clearly and reacted at once. 

S - did I shout much yesterday?

Charu pretended to think for a while and  presented a smile.

C - I think you did .

S - I suppose I should apologise.

He bit his lips and remained sceptical , for which she showed him a thumbs up.

C - good decision.

A - chod muje !

Hearing her voice , both turned the other side to witness annika being manhandled by a person . They reached till her in no time .

By then annika stomped on the man's foot and moved away .

C - kya huwa annika ?

A- he , that idiot ...asked me to click some photos for him . I did . Aur phir , suddenly bolne laga,  ki let's take selfie together and uss buffalo ne meri haath

She halted her words in the middle. Her eyes went totally wide by the scene infront. Shivaay was punching the man like hell .

And within few seconds ,  some of his companions joined to oppose shivaay.  Annika was shocked. Adi who returned there just now , saw this fight going on and didn't think once before jumping in to support shivaay .

A - shivaay bas ! Chod dho shivaay , Adi what are you doing?

C - adi koi problem hojayega  , leave them .

Shivaay fell back when one from the trio punched on his stomach .

A- shivaay !!

She shrieked loudly and helped him stand.

A- shivaay , listen to me and chal yahan se .

He jolted off her hand and marched straight to that man to give him one hard kick .

Paying no heed to the girls, Adi and Shivaay fought like animals . Only when the crowd involved and held them , they stopped .

Annika kept staring at both angrily . Without noticing it , shivaay traced his palm on her fractured arm and looked concerned .

Ad - kya huwa tha ?

Adi was just going to place his elbow on charu's shoulder but she instantly moved away , and scowled at him.  Adi showed an innocent face.

S - you're ok ?

A - charu , take me home.

She dragged charu and left from there . Shivaay saw her retreating figure and stomped on the ground in rage .

Ad - detail kya hai , actually what happened?

Shivaay slowly turned to see him when he kept his elbow on his shoulder and enquired .

S -  she didn't have enough reasons to be angry with me right ? That's why  I deliberately pulled this stunt.

He gave a sarcastic smile .

Ad - charu was right? You really speak like annika at times .

Shivaay rolled his eyes slowly after hearing his not so informative statement.

S- vahan meri biwi gusse mei ja rahi hai . Are these confirmations necessary now  ? Chal .

Both hurried towards the parking area .

The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved ;loved for ourselves; or rather , loved in spite of ourselves 💘
