Overlooking the enormous trees and shrubs, I let myself search for the place I had been seeking for hours. Wandering through the forest, I searched for the green tall trees bordering a large clearing, recalling the scroll with an image of this place called Alpines on Earth, marked by a statue of a human in the center.

The clouds above looked dull, their greyish hue sending a small shiver through me. They missed me. Smiling at them, I twirled my fingers, clearing the sky and allowing the bright sunlight to grace the forest with its warm beams.

A sudden cold wind sent a shudder down my spine, making me aware of someone's presence.

"What a wonderful view, isn't it?" a deep husky voice said. I turned to face the man I had always longed to see. His deep blue eyes assessed my posture, just as I assessed his. His long dark tendrils fell on his shoulders like sharp raven feathers, contrasting with his fair skin and the dangerous glint in his eyes. His perfectly aligned teeth were visible as he smiled at me.

I waited with bated breath for him to call out to me and take me in his embrace, but all I received was silence and his assessing gaze. Smiling softly, I realized how much he must have missed me. I reached out to hold his gloved hand, but he grabbed my wrist, pulling me close until I was flush against his front.

Staring from under my lashes, I let my heart speak for me, its beats all I could muster. It was never in my control, especially not with him. Heaving under my breath, I looked deeply into his eyes as his words pulled me from my fogged mind.

"My Lady, holding hands at first meet!" he smirked, his minty breath brushing against my cheek as he whispered near my ear, "Isn't it too much?" His cheek flushed against mine, moving with his words. But my brows furrowed upon realizing: first meet?

"Huh?" was all I could utter as he stepped back, still holding my wrist, his gaze never leaving mine. His smirking lips were now accompanied by a small twitch of his brow, amused by my aloofness. Chuckling, he slid his hand from mine, folding his arms in front of his chest.

Oh.

Oh!

Did I mention his strong chest? Pardon me for forgetting. His black linen-covered body was graced with flexed muscles, his hard torso visible through the thin fabric cascading down to his hips, mingling with his black trousers and shoes. I felt my breath catch upon really looking at him.

"Like what you see, my lady?" he uttered, amusement gleaming in his eyes and words. Coughing slightly and covering my blushing face, I averted my gaze.

After a few moments, I heard him click his tongue. "How cruel of me not to introduce myself!" he spoke sassily as I opened my mouth to interrupt, to tell him I knew his name.

"I know you're—"

"Myself, Hell!" he finished, tucking his hands into his black pockets, leaving me hanging.

"Hell!" I voiced softly, confused.

"Yes, my lady?" He tilted his head animatedly at my dilemma.

"I know who you are!" I stated as he sat on a dark cloud formed by his snapping fingers.

"Oh, really! I'm honored!" he exclaimed, though I sensed the edginess in his voice.

"What's wrong—" I stepped forward, but his gloved hand shone, his blue eyes turning red, halting my steps. "Give Angeline back and cut the crap!" he sneered, his sudden change in demeanor accelerating my heartbeat.

Still confused, I waited for my ragged breaths to calm down as he laughed. "Oh, that one rhymed!" He swirled his fingers, circling me slowly. "I'm not here to chat, my lady!" he mocked, stopping in front of me, gazing into my eyes. He stood up slowly, never averting his gaze as I tilted my head up.

"Give me Angeline back!" he sneered, looking at me with utter hate.

Holding back my inquiries, I let the queen within me speak. "Watch your tone, my lord!" I bit back, glaring into his vicious eyes. "I wouldn't do that if I were in your place!"

His eyes turned amber. "I wouldn't have to if you had treated Angeline better!" he sneered, softening my heart. Sighing, I calmed my anger and extended my palm, a small ball of fire igniting and flying into his heart. He staggered back but held his stance, glaring at me.

"I returned what was yours! Don't ever repeat this again! I won't be this humble again!" I replied softly, watching his body stiffen at the underlying threat. I turned, letting soft tendrils fall on my back, feeling the ache of unshed tears.

Dashing through the deep dense forest, I let myself fly through the dark night, descending to the shining stream of water under the enormous moon. I stood beneath the gleaming moon as its rays bathed me. The deep dark forest swirled with the wind, humming an unheard song.

Looking at the clear sky, I screamed loudly, tears pouring from my eyes, clearing my heart but leaving immense pain.

Why did it happen to me?

Why was it me?

"Why, God?" I cried, the shining rays disappearing into dark clouds. "Why?" I sobbed, holding my aching chest. "It's you who created me!" I shouted, knowing he would never listen. "It's you who gave me this life!" I shouted, knowing he would never care.

Heaving, I glared at the dusky sky, my shivering form crawling to the dark water, the small light waves the only source of light apart from my dress. "Did I ever tell you to create me?" I screamed, electricity rushing from my arms to the silent water, thundering and howling under my fury. "Why do you always punish me?" I cried softly, losing energy and falling to the ground, my tears glistening in the dark aura.

"It's all your fault, you cursed my fate!" I shouted, shuddering as intense energy left my body. I slumped to the ground, eyes sliding shut, tears pouring even after they closed.

"Why did you forget me, Hell?" I whispered, using the last of my energy.
