Single or Multi POV, and why?

I like to use multiple character's POVs. I feel like I can show multiple sides of all the characters and flesh them out. After all, everyone has their side of the story, right?

Weirdest Story Idea I've Ever Had

Hmm...when I was like 6-7 I wrote and illustrated a short story about a kennel catching on fire and the main character (a dog) died at the end.

How did writing change you?

I feel its made me more comfortable expressing myself and letting out my ideas. Before this...I didn't really share my characters or story ideas with anyone.
Favorite character you've ever created

I'm going to have to say Umbra. I really enjoy writing him and all the thought I put into his backstory (which has only been halfway shown).

Most inspirational quote?

“All I need is a sheet of paper and something to write with, and then I can turn this world upside down.”

I want this to be my senior quote.

Worst piece of feedback?

"too short"

Favorite place to write?

In a car. Feels nice to zone out during a car trip and just write.

What does writing mean to you?

It means a way to express myself and get out everything that's on my mind.

I want to entertain people, I want them to enjoy my stuff. I write to get those "this is so great!!!" and "ahhhh this story means so much to me" comments. If I can make some people happy with my work, I've done my job.

Favorite genre to write in?

Fantasty, my artistic licence works best there aha

Favorite line you've ever written?

Probably the "start of a new life" line in arc 6 when Victor remembers first meeting Umbra.

Do you start with characters or a plot when making a new story?

I start with characters and/or a basic set up for them. I started out with "ok, so we have a boy and a familiar" and worked my way up from there. World Eater started out with just Alzar and me trying to figure out what to do with him. HTH also started out with characters. Once I have characters, I can just make a plot go around them.

Hardest character to write?

Seraph, hands down. Mostly because I didn't have a set characterization down for him at the beginning and I was struggling to figure out how I wanted him to be.

Easiest character to write?

Victor. I base a lot of his attitude and behaviour on me, so it feels really natural and kinda therapeutic to write from his POV. When I first did it in arc two I was in love ahh

What would NFH look like as a tv show?

It would work best as a show with each arc being like an hour long ep?

And it would have to be animated. IRL would just feel a little odd, with the effects and stuff.

Tell some backstory details

Matthew has a pretty crazy past.

How many stories do you work on at one time?

The most I can handle is two.

How do you figure out your characters?

I usually find a theme or aesthetic I like. Or I start with a specific trait and work up.

Favorite and least favorite trope to write?

Fav: hurt/comfort

Least: when a good character has to do bad for plot reasons

Best feedback I've gotten?

When I was on FIMfiction and someone told me about show vs tell.

Thanks for asking!
