Hyun Ae kicked a pebble by her side on the road with pursed lips as she continued to walk.

It was a silent trip from the subway station to her home, with Namjoon beside her, staring out at the night sky.

"Seed of life..." he began, chuckling as he turned to her. "Oh well... Congratulations in advance."

"Shut up," Hyun Ae grunted, focusing back on her feet as they continued to walk silence kicked in again, but not for long when she started to ask. "Who do you think the father would be?"

"Is that what you've been thinking? Well, it's your life. I don't know how many guy friends you had and you hang out with. My guess would be Henry-"

"Nonsense! Totally nonsense! That's impossible!" Hyun Ae retorted, stomping her feet as she stood in front of him, blocking his way. "And the way you said that..." she paused, pouting as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Does being friends with the seven of you make me the worst?"

"Don't say that! I didn't mean it like that!" he scoffed, then she stepped aside and they continued to walk again.

Silence came once again, but this time along with Hyun Ae's soft sighs as she stared at her feet again. Namjoon stopped and grabbed her wrist.

"Are you worried?" he whispered.

"I'm going to have a child without knowing the father. Plus, raising the kid alone? Will I be okay?"

Hearing this, he let out a heavy sigh as he ran his fingers through his hair. "This is why I didn't let you do the reading, you totally believed that nonsense!"

"But she talked about me and my dad," Hyun Ae pointed out, looking up at him. "She's a total stranger, but how did she know it? That's impossible."

"What happened?" Namjoon softly asked. She sighed and led the way again as they began to walk.

"After I graduated from the culinary academy in Canada, my dad wanted me to take over his upcoming restaurant branch in Malaysia. I refused. I told him that I want to move to Seoul, though at a very young age."

"But owning a restaurant at a young age? That's amazing though!"

"But the main reason why I decided to move to Seoul was... he promised me that if I graduated excellently at that academy, he would let me go here and..." she paused, looking down at her hands before she resumed, "meeting Jungkookie..."

"That's all?" Namjoon asked, stopping in his tracks again, as well as hers.

"But he said he changed his mind and instead wanted me to manage his new branch outside Korea, and I didn't want to move out of this country! I kept on refusing, then at the end, he told me; 'If you really want to move to Seoul, prove to me how will you use that degree certificate to live alone.' Then he bought me the Nova House, and gave me enough amount of money to start a business; that is, my café now, and four-month expenses. I don't remember the last time I talked to him."

"And Hyun Wook... after graduating from high school, he got enrolled at a college in Malaysia and of course, under culinary. He came here right after graduation, he said," Hyun Ae smiled at the thought of her only younger brother.

"So, until now, you still haven't talked to your dad?" Namjoon asked. She shook her head. "If he knows that you're doing great here, he will be so proud of you. I'm sure of it."

"How sure are you? I'm his insolent child."

Sighing, he placed his hands on her shoulders and lowered his body a bit, making her look at him. "There is no father in this world that would have the heart to ignore his child. Especially his first daughter," he whispered calmly, giving her a reassuring smile. "Talk to him, it's going to be okay."

With a smile, she nodded. Namjoon patted her head and they began to walk again, in silence again.

"How are you and Seorim?" suddenly Hyun Ae asked.

"Nothing. Just nothing," he muttered, scratching the back of his head.

"She once told me that she's your girlfriend-"

"In the past! Not now! I absolutely have no feelings for her anymore. We're just friends now."

"Yeah right," Hyun Ae chuckled, looking up at the uphill road. "If she comes to my café, throwing fits on me, I'll sue her."

"Why would she do that?"

Crossing her arms, she turned to him. "Tell me, do you believe that it was just us both out there, hanging out happily today? Reporters followed us anywhere, and I'm pretty sure that soon there will be articles about us... dating."

"Well, if you saw them, why didn't you face them, like you used to do?" he asked, and then snickered. "Ah, I know. You just wanted to enjoy the day."

His answer made her glance at him with a knowing look. Then he asked, "But what does Seorim have to do with this?"

"Well, I bet she'll come to my shop and say 'hey, stay away from my Joonie. Don't you know we're dating' and others. Urgh..."

"No, she won't do that," he mumbled, but still clear to her ears.

"See? There's no point telling you. You believe her so much."

"Well, I'm the one who had been in the same school as her."

"Let me ask you. Are you serious that you didn't know the stories about her, all around the internet?" Hyun Ae finally asked, huffing at the end of her question.

But when Namjoon shook his head, she let out another sigh.

"Huh... I guess it's because she's known as Kwon Sora the model. First of all, don't be mad at me. But she's a troublemaker," she finally said, straightforward to the point. "Many idols had become her victims. Most of them quit their agencies due to all the false statements she said."

"Like Han Seo Hee," Namjoon suddenly cut in, knowing what exactly Hyun Ae was trying to describe.

"Exactly. And, she also had known to change boyfriends. Too many breakups in like months, but none for these few months, which is a new record actually. I'm guessing that it's because there's you."

"But why now?"

"I don't know... Me, maybe? She was the first one who suddenly showed up at my shop, looking for you so... I mean a girl, when they see another girl around their 'love', of course, they will be jealous."

"But there's nothing between us. Seorim, she's a sweet girl. She will never do that."

"So, you're telling me that Sora and Seorim are two different persons?"

"Um..." His brows furrowed, his lips pursed, not knowing what to answer to her question.

"Well, I won't say more. She's your friend. You know her better than me," Hyun Ae sighed, ending the conversation before the sight of her house came to their eyes.

"Well, here we are now," she smiled, turning to Namjoon. "Thanks for everything today. You helped me with the ideas, the clothes, the foods," she said, motioning to the bags she had in her hands.

"Well, I just wanted to make you feel... happy. And less stress with the work."

"Yeah, it's kinda... hard these days. I rarely make a visit to the café these weeks because of this."

"Agreed on that because... I went there almost every single day. Well, now you're going there again."

"Ah. Earlier..." Hyun Ae paused for a moment. "You said that... You'll tell me why you were doing all this once you walked me home..."

"Oh," was the only word that Namjoon said as he remembered it.

Feeling nervous, his heartbeat was fast, and he tried to not make his shaky breath obvious, and he kept on scratching his head.

"How do I start?" he mumbled to himself, biting his lips timidly. And then he let out a long exhale.

"When... When I didn't meet you for two weeks, I lost the source of my inspiration immediately," he began and waited for her reaction as he thought to himself;

Is this the time that I've been waiting for?
