Paris~ 1877

Normal POV

The spine chilling wind blew through out the city streets that night. A blonde girl trying to make her way home unharmed. With every breathe a cloud of white escape her mouth. She rubs both her arms and hugs her self trying to keep warm.

"I wish the ball gowns were warmer... But no they're made of almost nothing. I bet some dirty perverted man would love this!" She whisper/shouted to her self.

As she walked she noticed how unusually quiet the streets were. "Hmm I wonder where everyone is, it's not that late is it?" The girl questioned her self. In the distance she could hear slight footsteps, that seemed to be growing louder and almost faster as they approach.

Scared, the girl took off her heels and started running. What she feared most happened, the person started running after her. "I don't want that creep to find out where I live.." So she continued running past her house, like a blonde into the woods. (A/N : no blonde hate, I'm a blonde my self)

"Wrong place to hide missy" the voice echoed through the trees. "My names not missy, it's Lucy!" She yelled. "It doesn't matter what your name is dear you're dinner." Lucy's eyes opened in horror, brimming with tears.

"N-Nani!?! Dinner!" She screamed running deeper and deeper into the woods. "I found you~" the voice taunted her. Poor Lucy was out of breathe and had her back pressed to a tree.

"Be a good girl and stay still for me will you" the man said as he grabbed her by her throat. "H-Hel..p" she tried to call out but failed due to being strangled.

She watched in horror as fangs grew from teeth and slowly moved towards her neck. The books, the fictional books about his kind were true. She spent many hours reading these stories due to it intriguing her.

She felt the fangs stink into her skin and she yelped at the pained. This monster was sloppy and a pig. She could hear him slurping every drop out of her.

"You're a mo...nster.."

She coughed up some blood. "I hate to *cough* live in a world.. Knowing your kind *cough* existed." She breathed out the last words before passing out. "Hehehe, of really lil bitch... we'll see how you feel when you stuck like this for eternity.."

He whispered as he bite his arm then placed it against her mouth. Her forcefully made sure she swallowed before leaving her in the woods, alone.

Come morning time the maiden awakens to her heart racing, aching more like. "Ahhh!!!" She screams awake in agony.

Her breathing increases and she grabs hold of her dress covering her chest. Her vision becomes unclear, a horrible ringing is all she can hear, and with one last heart beat she falls to the ground lifeless.

Magnolia~ 2016

Natsu's POV

I wake up to my big brother yelling at me from down stairs. "Natsu!!! Get your ass down here right now!" He yells. "Alright alright, would you shut it already!" I groan as I crawl out of bed.

I slowly open my window to the beautiful Saturday sunrise. Taking a deep breathe followed by a yawn, I make my way down stairs. "Natsu, when are you going to get your self a job or a girlfriend. I mean honestly!" Zeref, my brother told me.

"Tch"

"don't tch me, you've been out of highschool for three months, you refuse to go to college and you wont get a stupid job. Seriously dude I'm about to kick your broke ass out."

I sighed and put a pop tart in the toaster. "Look bro, I told you I'm trying to get a job it just ain't working out."

A sinister smiled appeared on his face, it worried me. "Well here's some good news then, the book store down the street is hiring, and I already filled out an application. All you have to do is go in and talk to the manager."

'Great, a boring bookstore' I thought. "Better go get ready, I told them you'd be there at 8." I face palmed. "It's only 6:30 ass, why'd you wake me up." I groaned. "I'm going back to sleep till 7:45"

I heard a slightly whimper and turned to see Zeref crying. "What the hell man!?" "You never wanna hang out with me anymore Natsu!!" He cried.

"Dude seriously, it's the crack of dawn get over it!" I shook my head before retreating to my room. 'The book store huh, ain't it called FairyTail or something?' I shrugged and cuddles back up to my pillow.

Time skip

I let out a monstrous yawn and rubbed my eyes till they opened up. "Shit !" I jumped up seeing it was 7:50. I ran into the bathroom, took a fast shower, shook my hair dry-ish and got dressed.

I put on my scarf and ran out the doors towards the book store. I opened the book store doors, panting heavily looking for the manager. I walked up to the front desk and noticed a girl with blonde hair sitting there reading.

"Um.. Excuse me?"

I watched as her gaze slowly averted from the page of her book to my eyes. "Can I help you?" She asked, it was polite yet almost rude.. "I'm here for a job opening, I was told to come see the manger this morning."

"Oh so you're him, Natsu Dragneel?"

I nodded. "Oh okay, boss said you should be by today, you're hired." My eyes opened wide. "Are you serious?!" She was reading her book once more.

"Yup serious, you don't work till tomorrow though so leave." "So is it fun?" I heard her sigh with announce. "Look, I enjoy reading and writing so yes, but by the looks of you, you probably won't like it"

"Jeez alright alright I'm leaving." I said backing up, damn hope I'm not working the same shift as her. "I don't get it, why would she hire some else.. She knows I don't like being near people.." I heard her say.

It was softly but I could still hear it. I walked out and placed my hands on my head as I walked home. 'I wonder why she doesn't like being near people'

Time skip later that day

Lucy's POV

"Mavis!" I cried out as my little friend came inside the book store. "Why would you hire someone else to work!?!"

She giggled "Because you never leave and it must be lonely here by your self all day." "Mavis.. You and I are the same, yet different in so many ways. You enjoy people, I can't stand to be near them for long periods of time... What if I lose control..." I said looking down.

"Lucy, sweetie. You mustn't fear it, sometimes a special someone could help. I know you felt it yesterday, when they boy came in yes?"

I sighed in defeat. "Yes, he isn't like most humans, but his smell.. It smelt so good, thats why I'm worried about working with him."

She giggled again. "Who knows maybe he'll be a willing dinner.." "Mavis!!" I hollered. "Have fun Lucy and be nice!"

Once Mavis left I locked up the book store then head up stairs to my room. It was the second floor of the building. It was small but enough for me. I opened my mini fridge and pulled out a small bag.

I stabbed a small hole in its side and started sipping on the red liquid. It's been 85 years since I drank the blood of a human directly from their neck. One horrible night centuries ago I was attack by a creature of the night. And just to make me suffer more, he turned me into one as well.

I am Lucy Heartfilia and I am a Vampire.
