Basically abhimanyu and Ruhi had arranged marriage. Ruhi was abhi's younger brother, Purab girlfriend since 2 years and loved him madly. She told her parents they even accepted and called Purab's family to meet but do to some insane trouble her father decided her to get married to abhimanyu and marriage was fixed. Purab infact happily broke up with her and shifted to mumbai for future studies. Ruhi was shattered unaware of anything that what happened with her, she got married after Purab broke up.
The crime she committed is that she slept with Purab after her engagement with Abhimanyu which no one is aware of and she was neither able to accept her wrong nor forget it this suffocated her life. Her guilt ridden self just makes her disgusted of her own actions every time she tries to face it.

"Ruhi we cannot live our lives like this and I think we should get divorced."
