( ★ ) The university of Michigan is a magical place. Since its opening in 1817, it's been a dream college for thousands of people across the world. Between its excellent research, learning, and teaching opportunities and sports opportunities, the school has been a top choice for a reason. Aside from the opportunities it provides, a lot of students enjoy the experiences and views the campus offers. The campus gives students a view of the world and its history, and the large attendance allows students to make friends all around campus.

For most families, they want their child to attend college for academics. Although, athletics has started to play a bigger role in attending college. The university of Michigan is the one college where they always have school spirit and enthusiasm, especially when it comes to sports. Their football and hockey programs have been known as the best of the best for years, but things can come crumbling down in an instant. And the hockey and football programs know that better than anyone.

For years it's been the same ending for the programs. They make it through their seasons with winning records but eventually lose at some point during the playoffs. For the hockey program, they've won the national championship 9 times, which is more than any other program. But they've had multiple seasons where they fall short and end in disappointment, like the 21-22 season where they fell short in the semifinal. The 22-33 was going to be different though, they were going to make it different. If only they knew going in that the next season would be just like the rest, the only different was they would have someone by their side through it all.

( ★ ) Morgan Bradshaw had hated Ethan Edwards her entire life. From the moment they met they hated each other. Their parents had been best friends since they were kids, and they wanted that for their kids. Which resulted in them forcing Morgan and Ethan to get along even though they did everything to continue their hatred for each other. Morgan remembered the exact moment she decided she hated Ethan. It was her fifth birthday, just a few weeks after Ethan's, and he had ruined everything. She wasn't sure if he was jealous or just upset that his family cared more about this random girl that he had just met, but he tore open all of her gifts and knocked her cake onto the ground. And he had gotten his older brother, Brett, to help him in tearing down all of the decorations and trashing everything. Morgan was heartbroken when she saw the one stuffed animal that she had been wanting her entire life completely torn apart on the ground in shreds, dog slobber all over it. From that moment forward it was World War Three any time Morgan was around Ethan.

Though after a few years, Morgan decided to move on. She didn't want to fight him anymore and it was all pointless. That was until he announced that he was going to The University of Michigan and playing for their hockey team. Morgan had announced that she was going to attend Umich just a few weeks prior on an academic scholarship. She had never been so frustrated and angry with someone as she was with Ethan in that moment. Her entire life he had tried to do whatever she did but better. And while he failed every single time, it didn't stop the anger that filled her every time he announced that he was doing the same thing as her. It only got worse when they started to attend the university. Ethan spent all of his time with his hockey buddies and Morgan couldn't help but laugh every time he failed an exam or assignment. He cared more about popularity than he did about academics and if he didn't watch out, eventually everything would be taken away from him. He just didn't realize how fast that would happen.

Morgan hated that she agreed to stay after class with Ethan and their teacher. She knew exactly what the teacher wanted her to do and Morgan didn't want to do any of it. Ethan didn't care enough about his grades on a normal day, the only reason he started to care was because he technically had nothing without hockey. And while it was sad to see him lose himself after being separated from the team, Morgan knew he had it coming. But that didn't stop her from deciding to help him. She agreed to her teacher's suggestion, offering Morgan an internship if she helped Ethan get back the one thing he loved most. Morgan just didn't realize that being there with Ethan every single day would make her realize that she had loved him her entire life and was just scared. She didn't realize that being there with Ethan was everything she wanted growing up.

( ★ ) Ethan Edwards had hated Morgan Bradshaw his entire life. From the moment they met they hated each other. Their parents had been best friends since they were kids, and they wanted that for their kids. Which resulted in them forcing Morgan and Ethan to get along even though they did everything to continue their hatred for each other. Ethan remembered the exact moment that he decided he hated Morgan. Her family had moved next door just a few months before his fifth birthday and all his family did was focus on her and her family. Ethan felt like his own family didn't love him anymore because nothing he did mattered. He wasn't as smart as Morgan, he struggled reading and had a hard time focusing on the words on the pages. Anything Morgan did got supported and anything he did was wrong and he would get in trouble. That's why he decided to ruin her birthday, just like he did hers. He knew she didn't know that his family paid more attention to her on his birthday than him. But that didn't stop the anger that filled him when he saw how she got to help blow out his candles and help open his presents. He could tell she hated him by doing what he did but he didn't care. He would do anything to make his parents proud of him.

Though, nothing changed growing up. His grades were awful, and he really did try to keep them up like Morgan did but he couldn't. Nothing he was attempted to read made sense and when he tried explaining it to his parents, they only threatened to pull him off of the hockey team and compared him to Morgan. And when he announced he was going to the University of Michigan, he thought everyone would be happy for him. He would be playing for one of the best hockey schools in the nation. But everyone was upset that he was going to the same school as the girl he had grown up with. When the two teens finally made it to the University, Morgan ignored Ethan and he went on to party and play hockey. He made sure to try in his classes, and he did good in 2 of them but the other 2 not so much. He was failing and he didn't know what to do.

He was already separated from the team until his grades were better. He couldn't go to practice, games, or any team event. And while he could hang out with his teammates, he needed to be on the ice. Hockey was the one thing that got him through his childhood and without it, he felt like he wasn't Ethan Edwards. He was willing to risk anything to get his grades up. But when his teacher suggested that he get a tutor and attend the group meetings, he instantly wasn't. Morgan would be his tutor, she was the smartest girl on campus. He couldn't have her see how much he struggled in school, it was embarrassing enough to have his parents and brother know. But when Morgan suddenly has a change of heart and is nice to Ethan, he's willing to change his ways too. He just wasn't expecting to fall in love with the girl that he swore he hated his entire life. He didn't realize being there with Morgan was everything he wanted growing up.

( ★ ) Morgan Bradshaw hated Ethan Edwards and Ethan Edwards hated Morgan Bradshaw. There wasn't a time in their entire life where they thought they could truly be friends. Maybe at first for Morgan but after she had her birthday ruined everything changed. Ethan never saw the friendship though, he knew from the moment his parents welcomed the Bradshaw's into their home that he would never like her. Though, things change. Especially when you spend your entire life with someone.

Morgan never imagined falling in love with Ethan and Ethan never imagined falling in love with Morgan. It was never something they saw happening. But when you are forced to tutor and learn things about your enemy, you become closer and start to develop feelings. Though neither one of them saw it coming and when it did, they realized that being there together was the thing they wanted most growing up.
