Six years ago, season three
Doc was walking around the new world, taking in the sights. He had just joined a server called "Hermitcraft" with a man named Etho. They had both joined in the middle of the season, but it was okay. They knew they would find a way to fit in. He knew.

Season four

"Alright now kick him off!"
"Haha funny jokes funny jokes later!"
Ren had just joined Hermitcraft! Along with Cubfan135, GoodTimesWithScar, Welsknight, Iskall85, and Vintage Beef.

Both Doc and Ren knew they'd enjoy this new world.

Four years ago

Yeah, everyone knows they ship themselves but so what? It just a joke. Or at least, it was at first.

Something Doc didn't know, is that Ren always looked for a spot to take anyone for a first date. He found the perfect spot in every season, but around the middle of season 7 he started looking specifically for Doc.

It was weird. Ren never really had any realization that he was in love, it just sort of happened. Unfortunately however, Ren knew Doc would never like him back, so he was just looking with no real goal.

However, everything changed one Christmas season. I'll let Ren tell you the rest..

Rendog POV:

It was Christmas, and I felt like if I wanted a chance at asking out Doc (even if it were just in my daydreams) I'd need to find a special spot specifically for the Christmas season.

I had, a few months earlier, found a spot a little farther from the shopping district than his base in the other direction. As I flew there now, I saw that it had already been decorated. I was confused, only I knew about this place and I was sure that no one would decorate it before I could because no one had built there yet!

I landed (looking like Superman I might add) and walks around, curiosity painted on my face. It looked beautiful. The lights were strung on and across trees, some blue, some white. There were poinsettias around every tree, and in the middle of a cleared part of the mini forest was a picnic blanket.

And that's when I saw him. "Doc!" I screamed happily without thinking about anything else in that moment. "dude, did you decorate this!?"
"Uhm.. yeah! I did!"
"This is awesome! Why did you though?" I continued, slowly walking away in awe.

"Well... I did it for you" he whispered, barely loud enough for me to hear it.
"R-really? Why?" I turned back around to face him, having to slightly tilt my head up again because of how tall he is.

"Well, Ren.." I watched as he started fidgeting with his hands and looked away, "I wanted to ask you something" he finished.

"What is it?" I reply, awaiting an answer. I'll admit I was a bit impatient in the moment but the outcome was more than I thought would happen.

"Will you go out with me?"

3 years later

"Babe? Hurry up you're taking forever!" I hear my boyfriend, Doc, call from outside the door. "I'm coming, I'm coming!" I yell back.

I open the door and rush towards my boyfriend, "Doc! merry Christmas!!" I yell, hugging him as tight as possible. "Merry Christmas to you too Ren" he lightly laughs.

We walked out of my base hand-in-hand and kept walking towards the shopping district. We went to our spot, as we started calling it after the first two years. We always decorate it together and go on dates there. It's by far our favorite place.

Doc sat down in the middle of the picnic blanket left from last night and I laid down next to him and put my head in his lap. We spent a while just enjoying each others company, occasionally joking with each other or trying to annoy each other.. well I tried to annoy Doc.

Then I remembered one last Christmas gift I held off on giving him earlier that day, the ring. The ring.

So, then, I stood up and turned to see his confused face. "Doc, I have one more Christmas gift for you" I say, my confidence skyrocketing. And that's when I did it. I grabbed Doc's hand and pulled him up to stand, reached into my pocket and got the box out. "Doc I love you more than anything in the world.." I got down on one knee, "will you marry me?"

"Oh my goodness, Yes!!"
