Link walked into his house, his backpack quickly dumped to the floor as he sighed in exhaustion, tired from yet another day at school. The 15 year old boy was tiring of this highschool thing very quickly. Especially of his own grade.

He slumped onto the living-room couch to do his homework assignment. He would slack off, but there was nothing to slack off with except the tv and some boring books that his fostor parents had.

His real parents died in a house-fire when he was an infant. Luckily the fire spared the nursery for last, leaving time for the firefighters to save him, but his parents weren't so lucky.

But Link had an okay home, after a set of abusive fostor parents who hit him for bad grades and broke his arm. After that, he was sent to an older couple who couldn't have kids, and they were nice if not a little distant.

Link pulled down his green hood before starting his assignment on The Hobbit. He liked the book so far, he found stories like these quite mystical and fun to read, even though reading at his age was a bore. Running a hand through his long, blonde hair, he did his assignment. By the time he was finusbed both his fostor parents came home, first the man and now the woman half an hour later. Link left his assignment on the coffee table, which he would surely be scolded half-heartedly for later, to go take a nap after this exhausting day of life. Link's life was nice, but a change would be nicer.

As Link entered his room and layed his head on his pillow, he thought about the hobbit, and what a place that fantastical would be like.

When Link awoke, he realized he wasn't in his bed. He wasn't even in his house. Or a house. Or in civilization.

He woke up in a forest. Why a forest?! Quickly getting up, stumbling a little, the teenage boy whipped his head around. Where was he?! He didn't even live anywhere near any woods. And it wasn't like he was a heavy sleeper.

How did he get here? His mind was racing and he was panicking. What would he do? He was lost. And there didn't seem to be any signs of civilization anywhere. Not even one person.

Link shook his head, clearing it, before taking ins his surroudings. A pond. He saw a pond. Was there a dock? No. It looks secluded. What else? Woods. What direction is he facing? Since the sun is behind him, and depending on whether its still the afternoon, he is facing west.

Alright. What does he have? Anythung useful?

He looked down at himself, finding his green hoodie and jeans, and of course he was wearing no shoes. Only white socks that were already getting dirty.

All Link could think about was how screwed he was. Lost in the middle of nowhere as it wasn't getting any lighter.

Link did what he could, and that was walk. Walk in a straight line and hope he could get somewhere. Especially somewhere safe. Probably somewhere safe.

But he couldn't help but feel like he could do this. Deep in his bones, this felt... Natural. The smell of the trees and the air, the wild, it all felt...

Nostalgic. But why? He had no experience in the wilderness. Nobody ever took him out into the woods and did anything with him. He had never even been camping.

Link shook off the feeling as he walked.

And walked.

And walked.

Soon it was getting dark. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't stop. He couldn't sleep. What if something came up and- "Hey!"

Link whipped around in surprise, ready to fight- but there he saw some... Thing, in front of him.

The creature a skull showing, with a hat on it's head and it was clothed in leaves. It had a mischievious smirk on it's skull face.

Link looked around for more. As he did, he saw a few pairs of glowing eyes in the bushes.

"We can help you out of these woods you know... That is, if you play a game with us."

Link blinked in surprise. He spoke for the first time in hours. "Yes... Please." He mumbled. "Alright. Lets play hide and seek..." The leader smirked. "Find all five of us. But you might notice we are all wearing different colors. You must find us in this order: Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Purple. Then you'll be out. Easy peasy, right?" The child-like creature explained. Link nodded. "Good! Lets play!" The purple one, the speaker and last to be found, jumped up into the heavy brush. With a sound of leaves being disturbed, they all were hidden. Let the games begin.
