From the hospital bed I hear whispers,
The rain is crawling down the dull windows.
The flowers underneath the candle is nothing but cinders.
My friends used to chuckle, "they used to call us weirdos".

All laughter has faded,
All colour has drained from the sunrises,
Shades of bright orange and hopeful rose
turned to ash grey.
Today there will be no surprises.
From my head to my toes,
The hope has faded.

I perk up to read another book,
Then clamp it shut again,
The memories are back again,
I see the shadows creeping in all the innocent people they've mistook
For devils that lurk in the shadows.

Footsteps come from outside,
Soft but sad a girl walks by.
Her eyes are sad, and I sigh.
I roll onto my side...

"Hello, whats your name?"
She looks shocked, like I've scared away her flock.
"It's Jane, yours is?"
"Quinn, it's odd I know."
"So why are you here, what're the bis?"
