₊❏❜ ⋮ ⌒ DANGER SCREAMED... at them to run, to hide, to flee, to do anything other than stand there and mourn the loss of those that had been taken away from them.

Two adults stood there, frowns sketched on their faces as they watched a few of the kids wipe the falling tears. They weren't heartless adults, despite everything that they've seen and done, they still felt something for the kids.

"We can help get your friends back." Daryl Dixon spoke again. He let his crossbow move to his side, feeling as if they would cooperate if there wasn't a weapon pointed at them. "They took my friends too."

"We just have to ask some questions." Rick Grimes butted in, his red machete glistening with blood, not that the group noticed it, they were having a hard enough time focusing on Rick and Daryl. "How many walkers have you killed?"

"None." Dally stepped forward, taking leadership. She could be scary, she could be intimidating, and she'll definitely beat the living s—t out of the people who took her friends.

"How many people have you killed. It goes for you all." Rick Grimes asked the next question, eyes darting to Daryl who was watching every movement.

"None." Liam moved forward, answering the question with ease. As far as he knew, no one that is apart of the group had killed anyone, but he may or may not believe that they all injured someone in the last world.

"Who are you?" Rick Grimes asked with a puzzled expression. He realizes that they're only kids, but by the way they answer the questions, it seems as if they have no idea what world they're in.

"Kids." Adi said, peaking his head out from behind Dally. "We don't know where we are, or what's going on."

"Okay..." Daryl said, gesturing with a motion of his head he and Rick moved away so they could talk in privet.

The group of heroes, the four that were left behind, all huddled up and stood in silence. Each one of them had thoughts that were racing from what seemed one world to another. Dally and Adi kept glancing back at Rick and Daryl, looking at them to figure out who they were and what they might want. They didn't know the motives behind the older guys questions, or if they would really help them get their friends back.

"Do any of you have scratches? Of bites?" Rick questioned, causing the group of four to break away. When they all shook their heads he sighed. "Nothing?" He pressed, hoping to receive something from them.

The heroes are still in shock. How could they not be? They had just watched three members of their group get kidnapped by people they didn't know. They hadn't seen a license plate, but two red crosses that were big and bold on the back windows. They hadn't been in the world for man than a day, and things were already crashing down.

"We have a group, if you'd like to come with us. We have water, food, weapons." Rick finally announced, waving a hand forward. Despite it being dark, the flashlights that Daryl and Rick had brightened up the little area so they could see.

The group of heroes didn't say anything back. What we're they supposed to say? They didn't know these people, they didn't know if they would really help them get their friends back.

"It's not safe to be out her alone." Rick added, hoping it would influence them to go with him and Daryl. Rick was looking at them all, but his attention was more focused on Dally, he believed by the way she stood and made it so everyone was behind her that she was the leader.

"You better not being lying about helping us." Dally started, stepping forward and tilting her head to the side ever so slightly. "Because trust me, you don't wanna deal with me, Esmeray Dallas Ace. ( Just another fuck up along the line of fuck ups in my family. )"

"We're a family. And we protect our own." Kat spoke, their eyes narrowing at Rick and Daryl.

"We don't do anything." Rick extended his hand. A shake of the hand, bonding a leader and one who had just only been given the title. "We promise."

₊❏❜ ⋮ ⌒ MANIPULATION... it can work in ways the brain might not understand. But the three that had been kidnapped, they knew that they were being manipulated from the second their eyes opened.

They were all in the same hospital room, flimsily beds that were as comfortable as they wished underneath their bodies. They had been asleep, most likely from the shock of the kidnapping, or because of the drug that had been injected into their IV's to make them sleepy.

"Hi. How are you three feeling?" Dawn, the leader of the Grady Memorial Hospital group smiled.

"Where are we?" Charli asked, not bothering to tell the woman how they were feeling when all they wanted to know was where they were and how to get back to their group.

"Grady Memorial. Do you not remember what happened?" Dawn started it, eyes darting between the bandages on Charli's arm, the cast on Zays wrist, and the bandages around Kohanas hand. "Me and my men had found you three injured, being attacked by a group of people."

It was a lie. It'll always be a lie. Those people were their partners, their friends, their family.

"No. They're our friends, we know those people." Zay shook his head.

"I'm sorry, but they aren't. They wouldn't have harmed you if they were." Dawn spoke, her words coming out sympathetically. "Get some rest, and we can talk more tomorrow? How's that sound?"

"Good, thank you." Charli spoke through gritted teeth, flashing a quick and fake smile to the woman as she walked away and shut the door.

"We'll be okay." Kohana breathed,  smiling to the two she was with as if it would make them all feel better.

     "We'll all be okay."
