Here is a surprise update for you all.

Four months have passed.

Things have changed drastically after that night.

Aratrika permanently stopped going to Mukherjee house . Binita, Biplob and Smita tried to apologise to her but she shut them up totally.

In fact Promita was shocked after hearing the truth.
And surprisingly She didn't try to apologise to Aratrika for her rude behaviour over the years.

Aratrika isn't ready to listen to her mother, Jethu and Smita. She is upset and devastated after understanding that her own mother, her Jethu, and her cousin have never trusted her. She is angry at Smita for trying to break her marriage with her cheap tricks.

She only kept contact with her father, Sudeshna, Suporno and also with Kanika. She continued to meet them outside like restaurants, her own house and also for some outings.

Brijesh was not happy with her decision of not coming to their house though he understood why she did it so more than sadness, it was hurt within him.
He doesn't talk to his wife and his elder brother unnecessarily as they are the main reason behind Aratrika's miserable life.
Same is the case with Suporno .
But Sudeshna talks to them because someone needs to talk at least as they are staying together but the warmth from her side to them has gone missing totally. It is all for formality.

On the other hand, Aratrika's relationship with her new family has improved more than before.
Most importantly, Piyali has become a mother to her.
If now anybody sees the bond between her and Piyali, they will not believe that months ago Piyali wanted Aratrika to leave their house.

Saptarshi and Aratrika's bond strengthened more than before. The love, understanding and respect for each other have increased between them.

Alok left after that night. He apologised profusely to Aratrika for whatever Shome did to her.
"You don't need to apologise to me, you weren't the one who did wrong to me. So please don't do that." That's what Aratrika said to him.

"Aratrika, you are the next . Be ready." One of the performers announced.

Aratrika nodded and corrected the dupatta of her green floral ghagra (lehenga).

Today is a cultural fest in Aratrika's college where she is going to perform.

Yes, Aratrika has again started her academic career. She joined for her Masters in Dance just some days ago.

Soon Aratrika's name was announced and she went to the stage where she was going to give a dance performance. She danced in a way which made the audience mesmerised by her graceful dancing.

Piyali and Saptarshi came to see the show. Siddhartha and Sanonda couldn't due to their work and Sanchita was unable as she had exams. Saptarshi was recording the dance performance as per his father, sister and Pimoni's request .
Piyali was on a video call with Lolita who was watching Aratrika's performance from her own home.

After her performance the hall filled into the sounds of claps. Everyone praised her .

Aratrika smiled in happiness and looked at the crowd to spot her family. She grinned when she found Piyali giving her standing ovation along with Saptarshi . When her eyes met with him, he threw a flying kiss at her which made her shake her head with a shy smile.

Aratrika went back to the dressing room and changed her dress . She wore a grey jumpsuit and removed her heavy makeup. Packing her dress in her bag , she went out to sit with the other students as per the rules.

After two hours the show came to an end.

"What a show!!! I enjoyed it so much." Piyali exclaimed in excitement. They were walking towards the parking lot .

"Did you like my performance?" Aratrika asked her mother in law, holding her hand.

"You were the best. I am proud of you." Piyali said hugging her from the side which made Aratrika smile in happiness.

Saptarshi smiled seeing their bond.

They sat in the car and drove towards their house.

After an hour they reached. Piyali got down from the car.

"Don't come out ." She said when she saw Aratrika getting down from the car.

"Why? What happened, Ma?" Saptarshi asked his mother in confusion.

"Here," Piyali took out something from her handbag and gave it to Aratrika.

"Movie tickets!!" She asked her mother in law.

"Yes, You two are going for a movie now . Aru remains busy in her study whereas Rishi in his new case. I have noticed that you both can't spend enough time with each other .
So I planned a movie date for you both which should have done by you..but my kids are so dumb..what can I say?" Piyali said in disappointment and shook her head.

"Thank you, Mamoni." Aratrika got down from the car and kissed her cheek.
"You are the best, Maa." Saptarshi said with a grin.

"Okay okay enough.  Now go..hurry up. The movie is going to start at 4 pm. You have only half an hour to reach." Piyali said to them.

Soon the couple drove towards the cinema hall.

" It was hilarious…I loved the movie. I am going to download the movie for sure. " Aratrika said. Saptarshi laughed.

They were back towards their house after watching the movie.

"So, when are you leaving?" After a minute of silence, she asked him.

"Tomorrow. " He replied ,stealing a glance at her. When he found her gloomy face, he held her hand in his.

"I will be back within three days…Don't be upset. If you remain so sad like this, how will I go?" He asked her softly, kissing her hand.

Aratrika smiled sadly and said, "Please come soon ."

"I will." He said to her. She smiled and kissed his cheek.

After a day

Sanonda was in the kitchen ,making tea when Piyali walked inside.

"Good morning. " She wished her.

"Good morning, Didi. College jabe naki aaj ?(Will you go to college today?)" Piyali asked her.

"No, I am not as I don't have any classes today. When is Lolita coming again?" Sanonda asked Piyali.

Lolita comes to stay with them after every two months for two weeks.

"Next month, this month it won't be possible for her." Piyali replied .
Sanonda nodded.

"Mamoni….Baba…"

They frowned hearing Aratrika's frantic voice. They looked at each other in confusion and tension and ran out of the kitchen. Siddhartha who was reading the newspaper stood up hearing Aratrika's voice.

Soon they saw Aratrika running down the stairs.

"Aru ,careful. What happened? Why are you crying?" Piyali immediately reached near her when she reached down and cupped her cheeks in concern.

"Baba…Baba got unconscious last night. Doctor said that it happened due to stress.
He has become so weak that he has become bedridden. Just now Dada has called me to say that Baba is continuously taking my name….he wants to meet me. Baba will be alright ,right?" Aratrika asked her, crying.

"He will be. You go and meet him..I think then he will be alright. Go…get ready. I will drop you there." Siddhartha said, patting her head.

"Yes ,go and get ready. I am preparing breakfast ,have it and go…because I know if you go there, you will forget to take it somehow or other. Now go." Piyali said to her and wiped her tears.

Aratrika nodded and went back to her room to get ready.

"Baba,"
Aratrika called out as soon as she entered her parent's room. Siddhartha also entered behind her as he wanted to meet Brijesh.

"Aru, " Brijesh said and tried to sit up when Binita helped her. Happiness was evident in his voice.

Others were present there.

"Baba, how did this happen? How are you?" Aratrika asked as she sat beside him.

" Now you are here…I will be alright. Don't cry." He said to her in a weak voice.

"Brijesh, what is this? You need to stay fit.  Remember our chess competition is still pending ." Siddhartha said to him playfully.

Brijesh laughed and said, "I remember it and I promise you that I will win."

"Dream on ." Siddhartha said and Aratrika chuckled seeing their banter.

"Okay, Aru. I am leaving or I will be late for my work." Siddhartha said and got up to leave.

" E ma!! Emon bolle hoi naki? Ektu kichu nah khele khub kharap hoe jabe.." ( No no..it doesn't work like this. Please you have to eat something, otherwise it will be very bad.)" Binita said and got up.

"Yes. Please wait for a few minutes..at least have some sweets, then we won't stop you." Biplob said to Siddhartha with a smile.

Seeing everyone insisting him so much, Siddhartha again sat down on the chair.

Binita was about to go and bring some sweets when Sudeshna entered ,"Here, I knew Siddhartha da will try to leave so I made a plate for him."

Siddhartha smiled and took the plate which had four different kinds of sweets.

"That's enough..thank you ." Siddhartha said and ate two sweets and drank some water.

Soon bidding bye to Aratrika, he left from there.

That day most of the time Aratrika spent with her father, taking care of him. As usual she avoided Binita , Biplob and Smita. She spent some time with Suporno and Sudeshna as well.

Promita came to meet Brijesh. Aratrika avoided her as well.

The night came.

Aratrika was about to go and sleep in her room when Biplob stopped her.

"You don't need to sleep there." He said to her. They were present in the dining room along with others  . Aratrika turned and faced him with a frown.

" We prepared the  room of yours which actually belonged to you. You sleep there." Sudeshna said to her with a smile.

"No.."

Hearing the unexpected answer from her, they looked at her in confusion.

"You drove me out of the room because you didn't see me as a family member as I destroyed your prestige. I don't want to go back to the room because I know you guys still don't see me as a family you know why!! Because you never trusted me and you don't trust me as well.  You are doing this out of guilt and showing me sympathy which I don't need.
So please I am happy with the small room. I just came here for two days just for my father. I will leave tomorrow evening…so Don't bother yourself." Aratrika said looking at Biplob and Binita and left from there.

Everyone remained silent after that.

"See, see, how she is talking!!! She knows that you two are in guilt still she is doing this…I am telling you that she is enjoying this." Promita said angrily.

"Stop it. She is right in her place. You won't understand until you face whatever she has gone through. " Binita said to Promita with a glare which made her look down.

"I think she is doing the right thing and I am glad that she has learnt to stand for herself." Suporno said to Promita sternly.
Sudeshna nodded with a smile.

Brijesh sighed and smiled .

The marriage proved to be a boon for her.

At night she slept in her previous room where she used to stay before her marriage.

Next day , Aratrika was resting in her room after having lunch.
She was looking at her phone time and again. Today Saptarshi didn't call her since the morning.

"Why didn't he call me today? What happened? Is everything okay?" She thought in worry.

She stood up and walked towards the window .

She picked up the phone and dialled his number for the seventh time since the morning.

"The number you dialled is currently busy. Please, call again later." The voice said from the other side.

"Again same. Ufff!!" She said in irritation and cut the call.

All of sudden she got startled as she heard the door of her room getting closed with a thud.

She immediately turned around only to get rooted in her place after seeing the person.

"Missed me sweetheart?"

This is why you were coming home late for the last few days!!!" She asked him furiously.

"What?" He asked her cluelessly.

She smirked bitterly and showed him the photo which she got today and which successfully shattered her heart as well.

He stood there stunned watching the photo.

"Listen...Let me…."

" Explain ,right? " She interrupted him.
"I trusted you and this is what you give me in return!!! How could you? " She cried out loudly. The pain of seeing her husband in another woman's arms had shattered her fragile heart and their relationship.

"You know what I was right when I said that I married a monster. I will not stay with you anymore." She said, looking directly at him.

He took a deep breath closing his eyes as her words hit directly his heart.

Without saying anything he turned around and walked out of the room, leaving his  heartbroken wife behind.
