A/n  pov

Kyo stood on a grassy after taking a deep breath. Looking up in the air the boy saw a image of his father appear in his mind.

Kyo:(mind) Dad...

Laying back on the hill Kyo thought about everything that happened. During the last KOF he had lost his own dad and nearly lost his brother twice. No one in the public eye knows what truly happened that night;only that Kyo's team had won. Everyone was unaware of just what was truly at stake. To make matters worse upon Kyo's mind was the form Y/n found himself in.

(flashback)

Y/n: Piss off Kyo your to weak to take Rugal alone! I'll be showing him despair for the old man and my mother got it?!

Kyo: Tch you dumb ass can't you see your not thinking straight?!

Y/n: Stand against me and I'll be more than happy to kill you too.

(Flashback end)

Kyo:  Dammit....why did you of all people have to be born with "that" blood too Y/n.

???: Somehow I knew i'd find you here Kyo...

Kyo turned around seeing Yuki standing on the hill staring down at the punk. Sitting up Kyo spoke out to her with a soft voice.

Kyo: Guess i'm becoming easier to read huh? 

Yuki: I wouldn't think of it like that really. I think it just goes to show how much I know the man I love.

Kyo looking back at the clouds sat quietly while Yuki sat next to him.

Yuki: You miss them don't you? Y/n and your dad I mean.

Kyo:  All the training I went through with them both...I thought I was strong enough. That Saisyu didn't screw up picking me as their successor to our clan's fighting style. Then that tournament proved me wrong.  Y/n has been recovering all this time but I don't know what I could say to him. After he went into a state like The Riot of the blood...what am I supposed to do?

Yuki wrapped her hand around one of Kyo's causing him to look back at her.

Yuki: Y/n might be different from how you thought  but he's still your brother Kyo. He still loves you just like I know you still love him. You might not be the smartest guy I know when it comes to academics...heck your poetry is so bad I find it one of the cutest things about you.

Kyo: Yuki...

Yuki: But if there is one thing you do well aside from fighting..it's following your heart. I don't think it's ever left you astray before;why would it do so now?

Kyo smiled as he hugged Yuki close then kissed her.

Kyo: Thanks Yuki...I guess I just needed to hear that.

Kyo heard someone walking towards Yuki and him only to see Benimaru with his hair down.

Benimaru: There you are Kyo been looking for ya.

Kyo: Nikaido what's up?

Benimaru: It's this...we've got another coming.

Seeing Benimaru holding out a new KOF invite Kyo's eyes gained a serious expression.

Kyo: How long?

Benimaru: 4 months from now...Daimon is training for it now...what about you?

Kyo sat quietly before he stood up then smirked.

Kyo:  Do you even gotta ask Benimaru? Of course i'm going and the 3 of us are going together.

Benimaru: Heh alright!

Yuki:(Mind) I'm glad to you back to your old self Kyo.

(With Y/n)

Having killed the terrorists with the Ikari warriors Y/n flew with them in the chopper back to base.While he did Y/n smiled before looking back at team Ikari.

Y/n: Hey guys I have a favor i'd like to ask you.

Clark:What's up?

Y/n: Can you guys bring me back to Japan? There are somethings I need to do there. I should only take a few hours. 

Ralf: Sounds fine by me I'll just let Captain Heidern know.

Clark: Same here it's been a long time since you came home after all.

Leona: I've never been to Japan anyways...there are are some foods i've wanted to try there too.

Y/n:Thanks you guys.

After arriving back in Japan Y/n smiled then waved the Ikari warriors by.

Y/n: I'll be back by 12;00 ok?

Leona:  Right we'll be waiting.

Heading off Y/n made his way to the Sakazaki Dojo first.

Y/n:(Mind) Yuri  always tried to stay by my side through all of this. No doubt she's ran herself ragged while I've been recovering.

Upon arriving Y/n saw Mai and Yuri had finished a sparing match. Deciding to spy on their conversation Y/n sat against a wall.

Mai: Well done Yuri you've really improved alot. I think Y/n would be proud of you.

Yuri sat down then grinned at Yuri.

Yuri: Thanks a bunch Mai but I don't know if I will able to win the next KOF ya know? Even so I'm gonna go and  give it my all! I won't let everything you and everyone else has done for me be for nothing. 

Y/n grinning at Yuri's words came out from the wall then spoke to her.

Y/n: That's the Yuri Sakazaki I know and love..Mai is right about me being proud of ya,my Spunky little tomboy.

Yuri's eyes widened with joy before the girl rushed at Y/n with a hug causing him to chuckle.

Yuri: I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH Y/N!! I'M SO GLAD YOUR BACK!

Y/n: I'm glad to be back Yuri.

 Spending my time with Yuri and the others we went to King's bar to celebrate my return. I laughed sitting back as King prepared drinks for everyone.

King: Well name your specialty because tonight rounds are on the house!

Mai:*grins* Well then I'll have a  Strawberry Daiquiri!

King chuckled before she got to work on Mai's drink.

King: One Daiquiri coming up!

As King went to town making the drink I say Yuri  grab my arm with a grin.

Yuri: This is party is gonna be so cool with you back Y/n!

Mai: So Ryuken how do you feel? I know it must feel nice to finally be out of a bed.

Y/n: To be honest with you Mai it really does feel wonderful being back. Heidern and Team Ikari helped me out a crap ton. They went all out and even helped me get back in shape.

King:Sounds like you had fun with them hehe.

Y/n: Well I'd be lying if I said I don't enjoy their company. I mean under all the serious soldier skin;they are just a bunch of goofs.

Mai: Well that's good to know honestly.

Yuri: I never thought those guys could be like that! So what did you do while you were with them huh?

Y/n: Well after my recovery I got to spar with them and- never mind I probably shouldn't say that.

Mai: Aw come on you can tell us.

Y/n: No I don't think it's all that important.

Yuri:*pouts* Aww come on just tell us you got me all curious now!

Y/n:(mind) Damn Yuri's cuteness I just can't resist.*To Yuri and Mai* Well you see before they brought me back here....I...sorta....kinda....fought in a War zone and killed a bunch of terrorists.

Mai/Yuri/King: EH?!?!

???:  This party got room for a few more?

We all turned around seeing Team Fatal Fury smiling at me.

Terry: We heard you came back in South Town so we wanted to pay a visit.

Andy: We hope we're not late.

Joe: We're all hyped up for this!

Y/n: You know this party is always open to you guys!

Joe: ALRIGHT!

Joe yelled with spirit causing me to laugh. Terry sat on a stool then took off his hat.

Terry: Hey King if you don't mind I'll take some Vodka. Any kind ya got is fine with me.

Andy: I'll just have some wine.

Joe: *Grins* And i'll have a hard beer!

King: You guys got it.

While everyone drank and had fun I watched on. I loved seeing the small moments like this with everyone. As fighters we often don't get such chances to have peaceful days like this. Most of our time is often devoted to Tournaments or training  to perfect our fighting styles. As now veterans  of the King Of Fighters we know all to well how quickly; our lives can end.  Some of us may never get a chance like this in years. Even with that said every single one of us won't regret this time together.

Takuma: I-I'M G-GONNA E--ENJOY MY SON IN LAWSSS RETURN!

Robert: *laughs* Geez Old man Takuma is completely wasted!

Takuma: HEEY....RYO.W-WHERE'S YOUR WIFE OR UH *Hick* GIRLFRIEND?! 

Ryo: D-DAD YOUR GETTING AHEAD OF YOURSELF! Y/N ISN'T MARRIED TO YURI JUST YET!

Takuma:*laughs* OH RYO YO-YOUR JUST JEALOUS THAT MY PROUD LITTLE YURI GOT HERSELFS A MAN A-AND YOU J-JUSTSS DON'T GOT A GIRL!

Y/n: Woah now Takuma don't gotta act disrespect Ryo like that. He's a pretty cool guy and a awesome son.

Takuma: Y/n.. J-Just do me a favor m'kay? D-D-Don't go breaking Yuri's heart...If ya do I'm gonna s-slug ya till next week.

Y/n:*Grins* Never planned on it sir don't worry.

 Hearing Yuri laughing oddly I turned back seeing her dancing on a table. Confused at first I quickly realized that she was drunk.

Y/n: SHIT YURI WHO THE HELL GAVE HER A DRINK?!

Yuri: L-LOOKIE Y-Y/N I'VE MADE A NEW DANCE!~ I-IT'S CALLED THE NAE NAE! HEHE~! 

Y/n:(Mind) Why do I get the sinking suspicion Yuri just predicted something  for the 2000s?

King: I never gave her any she must've got her hands on some from one of drunks in here.

Y/n: Good Grief things never change.

3rd person pov

While Yuri laughed inside King's  bar Y/n's concerned yells can be heard outside.

Y/n: NO YURI KEEP YOUR DAMN CLOTHES ON WE'RE IN PUBLIC!

Yuri: C-COME ON Y/N JOIN ME!~

Y/n: (Mind)  Things are so fucking wild with them....and I wouldn't take it any other way.

A/n pov

The group's night remained full of joy and fun with the return of the brave Kusanagi they grew to have as their friend. With another great battle coming merely  months away what will come of them all? No one is sure but they will give it their all. Everyone will give it their all to prove their strength. To prove who is the King Of Fighters. 

3rd person pov

While Y/n and the other's partied  Kyo was seen walking through the streets. Feeling a dark presence nearby Kyo followed it;until he was attacked.  Jumping back on his feet Kyo saw Iori staring him down.

Iori: Kusanagi Kyo....I've waited a long time for this.

Kyo: So your guy who's presence I felt huh? Who the hell are you?

Iori: Iori Yagami...the man who'll end you Kusanagi's once and for all.

Kyo scoffed before summoning some of his flames while running at Iori.

Kyo: LET'S SEE YOU TRY LOSER!
