"Hey purr-rincess", chat noir said , wagging his tail and going towards marinette's balcony . Marinette almost forgot him , and what he did to her . She wondered why he was so angry to ladybug . She had a sad look on her face regarding the situation which was going on right now , but she invited him , with a nod.

"Whoa long time no see , chat noir", marinette said, even though she meets him for everyday basis . Chat noir kinda hesitated to speak but managed to stutter, not making the lie obvious.

"Uhh....marinette.....yeah , we last met when you were in love with me .....yeah.....long time no see", chat frowned , he remembered that day , he fought so hard for marinette , and knowing marinette liked him , because no one had ever liked adrien as chat noir , seeing marinette like him like kinda made it special , but ladybug was the one .

"So......what brings you here?", marinette questioned , turning and facing him , he almost was freaked out , about how he could bring a better lie....

"Uh....mmm....i was patrolling today the usual y'know ?", chat said , trying to make his visit to marinette a coincidence.

"And you are here right now ? So ladybug is managing alone ?" , marinette questioned seeing chat so careless, because she herself was ladybug .

"Oh ....no , ladybug told me she can manage, anyways she doesn't need me ! " , chat said , in his mind he was furious , he acted like he hated ladybug now , or least that's what ladybug must be thinking seeing his behavior.

"Oh don't say that , what is ladybug without chat noir ?" , marinette said nonchalantly. Chat's eyes became wide , these words were familiar , weren't they ? ,

"Anyways ! What is ladybug without chat noir?" They were ladybug's words ......
Flashbacks to the day , where chat didn't ruin everything , where he didn't told his lady that he liked her. Those times when ladybug and chat noir used to fight on whose name will come first , chat used to say "Its the cat and bug team" , and ladybug always used to say , "No, you got it wrong ! Its the bug and the cat team" , and they used to fight endlessly , those days when ladybug used to sick of chats puns and always used to complain about it , or used to frown when chat used to call her buggaboo , thats right .....used to. Now those times where changed , were they friends anymore ? Chat knew he ruined everything and now.......it will never be the same . Marinette saw chat being totally lost in his thoughts , so she flickered her fingers in front of him , catching his attention. Chat looked at her .

"Lost in thoughts ? like i said , what brings you here ?" , marinette asked again . She was really curious , wasn't she ?

"Oh.....you were looking sad , so...i came to ask you , why ?" , chat said , almost making his voice inaudible.

"Oh , remember the time , we both were sad , and you made a little surprize for ladybug , she never came, so you surprized me instead?" , marinette said , having flashbacks to the time , when chat noir first confessed to her. Chat noir almost forgot about that , he suddenly remembered how he was sad and went to marinette to comfort and talk to , didn't he always go to marinette for advice as adrien , like the time he had a date with kagami , or the time he wanted to hide from his fans ? Did marinette always so comforting or friendly ? She surely was , wasn't she ? A good advicer.

"Oh right ........, so what happened now ?" , chat asked wanting to know the story, he still didn't knew why she was upset from adrien.

"Oh no...chat noir , its none of your business !" , marinette said rudely . Chat was taken aback a bit , he had never seen marinette so pissed off.

"Aww....come on princess , cats have good ears y'know ? , you can share with me anything , i wont tell anyone , cats honour", he tried to push more, keeping his one hand pinched on his throat and other raising and promising he won't tell anyone.

"Don't you have other things to do ?!" , "like flirt with ladybug or something......" , marinette said , trying to bring ladybug , so she herself can some information on why chat is not talking with her.

"Oh ladybug " , chat smirked looking up into the sky , "we don't talk like that anymore" , sighing , he tried to look up , so his glazzy tears won't fall down .

"Oh" , marinette said sadly , looking in the other direction, "why ? Did something happen ?" , she questioned out of curiousity.

"Only if you tell what happened with you , then i will tell what happened with her" , chat noir tried to be opportunistic, anyways marinette was the only person whom he had actually told he liked ladybug , he trusted her , there was something to trust about that girl. Marinette sighed , she too wanted to know the truth , some way or the other , she wanted to know why her partner didn't talk to her.

"Well....its about a guy ......at my school , a popular guy ! And one of my friends " , marinette said , avoiding to tell the name , but chat noir knew it all , he knew it was himself , so without hesitating he said .

"Adrien agreste ?" ...." uh i mean he is a popular guy that goes to your school , doesn't he ?" , chat noir tried to layer things up to save himself. Marinette at first felt a bit sceptical , but nodded.

"Yeah , its him , so we were told kiss each other in a play , and i didn't kiss him , because we are friends , i just..........", marinette took a long pause, then sighed ,"......can't kiss him ", "so i kinda disappointed everyone and messed up , so .....my day went sad !" , marinette knew the truth , but somehow told the half story to chat.

"You don't like adrien ?" , "what do you think about him?" , chat noir asked these questions to marinette back to back .

"Its--its not like i don't like him , i mean ........we don't like each other.....i mean he doesn't like me ,......so it would be weird kissing a friend !"

"What makes you think he doesn't like you back" , chat noir said trying to come closer to marinette , and staring intensely in her eyes ....

"No.......i know he doesn't " , marinette swid dryly without any emotion .

"And anyways ......

"You have a boyfriend , right ?" , chat asked cutting her. Before marinette could say something , chat raised her a question , she was going to say something else, and chat asked her if she had a boyfriend. What made him think that ?

"Uh...chat ?"

"Luka , right ? " , " he is your boyfriend ? Isn't he ? I saw you both on a date , and you seem to like him", chat said without any emotions . Marinette was not luka's girlfriend , yeah she kinda liked him , but they were not dating , she kinda decided to play with it , since hiding her love for adrien .

"Uh..yeah , we......"

"So , thats why you didn't kiss adrien" , chat said , again cutting her . Marinette was kinda freaked on where this conversation was going .....

"Yeah ....maybe" , she said resting her head on her hand.

Adrien his mind thought , "well that makes sense , since she has luka, why would she kiss me" ,

"Well now you know the reason , why don't you tell me about you and ladybug ? , marinette said , she really wanted to know .

"Oh me .....and ladybug .....we are not the same as we used to be ......" , chat said sadly , his cat ears drooping down .

"Why , didn't you love ladybug ?" , marinette said , teasing him , knowing he was always love-struck around her.

"Well.....not anymore....", chat said . Marinette's heart skipped a beat , why ? Did chat despise her now ? .

"Why ....?"

"No matter what i do , what i tell , she never takes me seriously ! She always thinks i am joking , i am done with playing around her anymore , how much am i going to tolerate that ? , if she doesn't like me saying things to her , i will stop ! Anyways there are plenty of girls who are willing to go out with me !" ,chat noir said angrily. Marinette felt bad ......all that time she just hurted him , she thought about adrien but never asked how chat was ......

"So......you stopped making jokes around her....?" , marinette said.

"Well , she is not a big fan of my puns , she wants to focus on work , she doesn't me calling her m'lady nor buggaboo , so i shall just stop !!!"

Marinette's heart squeezed inside and out , the pain ......she could not handle , she had now lost chat noir . Why did she tell him to stop making jokes ? Even though she liked them seriously. Why did she told him to stop calling her buggaboo, when she knew got triggered , chat noir's jokes made her lively ! There was atmosphere of fun with fighting ......why did this dork take her so seriously.....

"Well , she doesn't love me , does she ? How long am i going to wait ?" , chat said it the last time ........it kept ringing in marinette's ears ....she had no capacity to say anything anymore , chat saw the time and realised it was too late and he had to go before coral comes home .

"Well, i have to go now ........bye , marinette". Marinette didn't say anything , she waved her hand sadly. She did too much damage , how was she going to fix it now ? Did rejecting him will make him sad ? Marinette thought chat noir loved her for eternity , and will never see another girl. Well now he was different .......and serious. Did he joke around to make her feel better ? Or for an escape .....like she did ......escape from boredom of his daily life, chat noir always looked like he was in pain , but hid it with a smile , he always covered his sadness with his jokes . How many times had he jumped to save her life , putting his in danger.......he trusted her , that she will eventually bring him back , buy now ? That trust was gone . Marinette realised ...that day she lost a lover .....not just a lover , but a friend . Amd those things will never be the same ! She can never joke with him again , that dsy she realised how chat noir meant to her , as a friend .......as a partner ! He was always by her side , always ! Did she miss to be by his when he needed her ? Marinette would've dated chat if adrien weren't there , she mentioned it before , she even wrote that about in her diary ! .......That day she lost something important , she lost chat .

marinette collapsed on the floor crying , tears flooded non-stop, first adrien and now chat , she broke them both's heart , she was a heart-breaker. She couldn't stop crying , her floor was wet ! Tikki couldn't do a thing , nor stop her , she tried to wipe the tears , but they kept on coming , she thought .......?..princesses don't cry .
She had to be strong , no matter what ....she will take chat back .

Adrien swung through his window and entered in his bathroom , disguising his patrol as a bath emergency, in case if anyone comes, after few minutes he had noticed coral had already come from the fencing classes, she kept her uniform and bag in her bed . And directly went for a bath , till then adrien was already doing some work ........but he was bumped up by th fact that marinette now had a boyfriend , well adrien will not a be the only guy marinette will share her problems with. Coral  knocked the door and called adrien .

"Phew....what a day adrien , hey you there ?" , coral said panting , with her hair wet . Adrien opened the door, and smiled.

"How was your fencing class?", he asked.

"Amazing ! I met your friend , she is cool and confident"

"Yes, she is ", adrien smiled.

"Well how are you now ? feeling better ?", coral asked , regarding how sad adrien was today .

Adrien smiled and assured he was feeling better , now at least he knew the reason , even in inside he was just breaking apart . No one knew what was going to happen with the play , well everyone hoped it will go better. That night coral tried to cheer up adrien by telling funny stories about her past , and making faces .....and talking . But she was only one talking , adrien just heard. She didn't understood why adrien was sad because marinette didn't kiss him , or did adrien like marinette....or she just didn't knew about their friendship. But she still didn't knew about kagami , so she tried to ask him.

"Ohhh......is kagami your girlfriend ?" , coral asked. Adrien was shocked about his sister was telling about kagami all of the sudden , but he managed to answer.

"Um....i dont know , she likes me a lot , but i don't think i love her, i mean i do admire her , but there is this girl........" was this girl , adrien whispered.

"You like someone else , then ?" , Adrien nodded.

"How much i try to like her , she doesnt like me at all , what ever i do , she never likes me !" , adrien said sadly . He couldn't tell that it was ladybug -the most oerfect human being .

"I understand , i hope she likes you " , coral stood up preparing to go to her room , smiling , she somehow made a plan to get adrien and marinette together.

(Next day , school )

It was the next day of school , and class 10-B had 6 days to prepare for their play , and now the leads have also backed off. Alya somehow woke up the whole night thinking of the actions , dialouges and plots , she had to teach chloe and kim. Also she re-arranged the characters and roles . Marinette was acting normal today , except she was now ignoring adrien for some reason . It was a usual day with teachers teaching , bht the last period was assigned for the play . Coral was muttering something with the girls group and alya , marinette was busy designing the jacket for luka.

"Guys , we need to hang out together today , y'know to cheer marinette " , coral whispered.

"We can go the andré's for the ice-cream !!" , mylene said sweetly....

"Ooooh , that would be sooo romantic" , said rose , holding ber hands and dreaming.

"Uh...no please , we can go to the skating track to skate , now that would be cool" , alix , the sporty one said quickly.

"Nuh , uh , not everyone knows how to skate , alix !!! Coral what do you recommend ?" , alya said , she was definitely not going to skate.

"I don't actually know paris that well yet ! I have no idea ...." , she said .

"Even i don't have a place in my mind right now !" , alya said , thinking hardly of a entertaining place.

"We can go to new circus which opened recently !" , juleka said with a straight face . Everyone was shocked and looked at her. At least she spoke.

"Whoa jules , i didn't knew you have such interests", said rose , shocked by her own bestie's answer.

"Well then ! Circus is it !!" , coral said . Then she pulled marinette aside . Marinette looked at her skeptically , she didn't knew what coral was going to do. So she used force to remove her hand off her mouth . Resulting in hurting corals hand , and smaking it to the wall.

"Whoa , you are strong girl !! What do you do ? Work out everyday ? ", coral said , pressing her hands. Marinette smirked.

"Anyways ! We all are going to a circus today ? You have to join" , coral said still pressing her hand . Marinette raised a eyebrow .

"And who all are coming ?" , she asked . Coral starting sweating , she didn't knew marinette was going to be this smart . Now she knew her plan was going to fail , bjt she didn't back out yet.

"Umm...me , you , alya , rose, mylene, alix, juleka and ......."

"And......?" Marinette question.

"And .......adrien !", coral gave up. Marinette lowered her head.

"If adrien is coming , then i am not coming! " ,marinette said firmly.

"Why ? What problem do you have with him ?" , coral said defending adrien.

"You just......won't understand yet ", marinette said.

"Ok then , he won't come it's fine ?? It will be a girls day , kay ?" , coral said giving up , she had to think of a different plan for now to bring adrien.

"Yes . Count me in" , marinette smiled kindly.

"Come on guys !!! Practice time , everyone get to the roles and places i informed yesterday , for whom i have not told yet , wait here , i will come soon" , alya announced. The class at once started to go to the auditorium to practice on stage . Marinette and adrien were the only ones left in the class. Since they didn't knew what roles they were going to play. There was a awkward silence in the class , marinette stood up and decided to go to the library to do some work instead. Just then adrien stood up , stopping marinette to go .

"Marinette , please talk to me ! , its fine if you don't want to play the role , but be my friend !", adrien said heavily , marinette ignored him . It hurted her deep down to ignore him , but she turned her face away from him . He kept on staring her , till he said again loudly.

"Why marinette ??? Why are you doing this to me ! Aren't we best friends", marinette bit her lips ,  as if she was going to say something , or was going to pour her feelings out , until alya interrupted.

"Marinette , your role is decided gurl ! Your's too adrien " , she said . Adrien turned behind to look at her , and he smiled. Marinette went with alya , and adrien followed them behind , the the whole class was waiting for them to arrive and start the play . Marinette and adrien were given the roles of hera and zeus , since some of the roles were reversed . Coral was still aphrodite , but she looked like she was busy with a call.

"Yes , come at the circus with him , 4:00 pm"

"Yes , yes that new one !"

"I am counting on you , don't make my plan fail , okay? "

"You know the drill , call him maybe later , *(snickers)* wow , thanks , yup i will call you later , i am busy now bye !"  Coral hanged the phone , alya was constantly calling her to play her role.

"Coral ! Coral!!!!!! CORALLLL !!" , alay shouted . Coral realised she was late for her role . She quickly went and apologised.

"Hehe , was busy with something" , she said for her carelessness. Marinette didn't talk to adrien while the play and adrien himself did not decided to meddle with her anymore. It was time for the last part , but now chloe and kim had to do it .

"Uh .......oh handsome man .....i am loved by you " , chloe said the dialouge lamely , kim came forward , but chloe was didgusted to kiss him , so she just pushed hik , and sabrina added perfume into kims mouth for some reason.

"Uh ...eww , i can't kiss him at all ! " , chloe said making a sour face.

"Even i don't want to kiss you chloe ?!?! But i guess i am FORCED to do because of the play ", kim said .

"Guys ! Please co-operate !" , alya begged ! She had no other option .

"Uh ...ok . But i will not kiss him now , i will do that directly on the play day" , chloe said filing her nails.

Alya was stressed now , she scratched her head continously , nino did the best to help her , he brought a fresh lemon juice to calm alys down .

"Well guys ! Its closed for today ! We will discuss it later ", nino announced , everyone nodded their heads.

Alya was sure that the play was going to be a mess , and nothing could change it ! She was willing to look forward to their hangout today at least .

Preview of the next chapter :  well the girls go to the circus . But an akuma appears , which leads ladybug to use a new miraculous ! Not to mention she loses it ! Also a new character appears to change the whole thing again ! Will it be a hero or a villian ? Adrien also comes to the circus , but coral gets surprized by a new guest . Theres a lot in the new chapter guys ! New hero , new miraculous ! New mystery , dont forget to check it out !!!!
