You and Anakin had finished your conversation, still walking down the hall. You had to admit, you thought he was overall really relaxed, and sort of easy to talk to. However, you supposed he did get worked up easily.

"(Y/N), " he said, looking down at me, his brown locks falling in front of his face, but he moved them behind his ears. "I believe I will take you on as my padawan. After many thought processes and much thinking, I believe--"

You smiled from ear to ear. You could hardly contain your excitement, so you hugged him. "Thank you master Skywalker!" You chuckled, then came to your realization that you shouldn't have done that, so you let go.

"Er, thank you, Master Skywalker, " you repeated, but more formally. "I appreciate your time and consideration, and I accept your offer."

He laughed, patting me on the shoulder. "Hey, you don't have to be so formal with me kiddo!"

You felt your face flush, probably from embarrassment, as you weren't so used to his ways of teaching. You had heard from Ahsoka that he wasn't exactly orthodox, yet he was lenient with her. You thought it was strange, as your last master believed in strict and discipline rules, but you had to learn to adapt to Anakin's now.

"Sorry, I'm not used to non-formality. My old master was strict, " you mentioned, looking up at Anakin. You wondered how old he was. You yourself probably weren't too young under him. You were almost done with your padawan training, you just needed another master to help finish your last few years.

"I'm twenty-three by the way, " he chuckled, looking down at you.

Your face turned even more red, as you realized he had read your mind. Immediately you put up your mental shields, turning your attention away from him. "Uh, cool, I guess. I'm 19."

He nodded. "Wow, so I suppose you're almost finished, then?"

You nodded. "Yeah, sort of. I started later than I was supposed to, so I'm probably going to finish later as well."

You looked up at him again, seeing his eyebrows raised, almost as if he was in shock. "Wow, me too. I started when I was ten, yet I was recruited when I was nine. How about you?"

Your eyes widened, realizing he was later than you. "I started when I was eight, " you replied, pursing your lips together. Whatever it was, something about Anakin made you uneasy, yet you weren't sure what it was.

"Well, I suppose we were both pretty late then, huh?"

You nodded, keeping your mouth shut. You felt something off about him, as you felt like he just realized something that he forgot to do a while ago, and he was just now remembering it. Whatever it was, he didn't want to express it out loud.

"Okay, " he started almost nervously, clasping his hands together. "How about we go train, and see where you are?"

You nodded, turning around to walk down the other side of the hallway.

---

"Good, good!" Praised Anakin, and he stood off to the side, watching you train with training droids.

You held your (l/c) lightsaber in your hand, blocking blaster holds back at your target, using your Form V lightsaber combat skill wisely. You spin and push, biting your lip in deep concentration. You let the Force guide you, letting it take you through the ongoing fight.

Eventually, you finish off the battle droids, giving them each a well-deserved fight. You continued to hold your lightsaber in your hand, your grip tightening around it, as memories flashed into your head, of how your master had died.

"(Y/N)? (Y/N)?"

Quickly you snapped your head over to Anakin, your thoughts coming back to reality.

"Oh, yeah, sorry, " You apologized awkwardly.

Anakin had his arms crossed, and he tapped his gloved hand on his arm. His expression showed concern, but you didn't let it bother you. "Hey, you know you can turn your lightsaber off, right?" He chuckled, slowly approaching you.

You looked down at it, being surprised that it was still on, you laughed. "Oh, right. Thanks. " You smiled and pushed the button that hid your lightsaber blade.

"Now (Y/N), I just want to say you are very good at what you're doing, but I believe there are tons of ways you could fix your form..." Anakin continued, but you couldn't listen.

You were so fixated on who he was, on where he came from, who his family was. You wanted to get to know more of him, you just had no idea how. At the moment you blankly nodded, agreeing with only one-word-answers, your curiosity getting the better of you.

At the moment you hadn't really minded Anakin. He seemed like a good master, but you weren't so sure about him yet. You were sure of his skills, in fact, you had seen him in action for yourself. He was very brave, and a good 'spur of the moment' planner. You could tell he is a very smart Jedi Knight, and you envied it.

"Hey, " you heard him say, which made you jump a little, only because you weren't expecting it. "You'll be fine. One day, you might be just as skilled as me."

You smirked, laughing. "So the stories are true then. You are so full of yourself, " you playfully remarked, lightly punching his arm.

He sighed, rolling his eyes. "Oh good grief. This is only the start."

You smiled. "Well maybe I'll have some more remarks for you later, then."
