You seem a little familiar to me..? (857 words)

---

Since it was currently the offseason and the US have been eliminated from the WCs, Mike and I decided to go back to his hometown of Holliston, Massachusetts for a few weeks to visit everyone. Today, Mike and I decided to take a 50-minute drive up to Boston and just tour around for the day. When we got to Boston, he drove to the Fenway Park to watch a baseball game with the Red Sox playing against the LA Dodgers. He had bought seats that were near the dugouts, but a little secluded so people wouldn't recognize us.

While I was looking down at my phone, I heard someone clear their throat. "Uhh, sorry to bother you, but is this seat taken?"

I looked up from my phone to be met with a blushing face. Oh no. Was my own brother trying to flirt with me?

"Zac?" I looked confused at him as he sat down in the seat next to me. "What are you doing here in Boston?"

He shrugged at me, "I was in the area for a little bit and that's that. But, let's never talk about to anyone about this 'incident' ever again."

"And I got a bag of popcorn..." Mike came into the scene as he saw Zac and I blushing. "Oh, hey Zac! What're you doing here in Boston?" He handed the bag of popcorn to me and I held it out to Zac for him to take a few kernels.

"Thanks for the offer, Y/N." He took a bunch of the kernels and put them in his mouth. "I wasn't flirting with her, that's for sure..."

I face-palmed myself in embarrassment, he said he would never speak of it again, and here we are...

"What?" Mike looked at us both in a confused manner as he took a handful of the popcorn.

"He thought I was a stranger and he didn't know that it was me because I was wearing my sunglasses..." I lifted the sunglasses off my face and rested them atop my head. "We're here for a good ol' baseball game. Why don't we watch?"

They both nodded their heads and started to watch the game intently. Secretly, since Zac and I grew up in California, I was kind of hoping that the Dodgers would beat the Red Sox, but the Sox were a good team too. I knew Mike wanted the Red Sox to win and I was perfectly okay with that...

---

"It's the 16th inning and no one scored yet...." I was bored out of my mind. We were here at Fenway for way more than a few hours and the whole ballpark was in silence. The score was tied 6-6 and it could've gone either way.

"Who knows? Maybe Pederson will score a homer and let the Dodgers win the game. The world may never know..." Zac was referring to the centerfielder for the Dodgers, Joc Pederson. I actually became friends with him when I used to work in LA and he was then-recently drafted by the Dodgers.

"We just have to wait and see...." Mike sighed as we three sat at the edge of our seats and carefully watched the play.

"Pederson has stepped up to the plate. Wright is the pitcher and boy are everyone in the whole Fenway Park? Pederson calmly takes a deep breath in and focuses on his game." The commentator spoke in a bold yet tense tone. "And he has two strikes. One more and we'll be here for a long-Oh my god, he did it! Joc Pederson has hit a homer and led his Dodgers to victory in the 16th inning!"

There were definitely some 'booes' going around the stadium, but that didn't stop him from being happy. Zac and I were definitely happy and Mike was very friendly with us, even though his hometown team had lost.

"Hey, Y/N! How are you doing?" Joc smiled at the three of us as we had met him outside of the ballpark.

"Nice game, by the way! I know these two enjoyed it." I smiled at him and pointed towards the two men, who were standing behind me.

"Ah yes! You must be Mike!" Joc smiled at Mike and shook his hand. "And you must be Y/N's brother, Zac!"

The two of them shook hands with Joc and nodded their heads.

"It's so nice to meet you, Joc!" Mike and Zac smiled at him and nodded. "How do you like LA so far?"

"LA is pretty good! I was actually an all-star for the National League last year and it has been a blast ever since!" Joc laughed and shook his head in amusement.

"Anyways, since we're all here for a few days, how does dinner at Mamma Maria sound?" I asked the group as sweat started to form around my forehead and they nodded their heads.

"Yes! I am so hungry after that more than 2 hours game!" Joc nodded his head and so did Mike and Zac too.

"I call shotgun!" Zac yelled as he ran to my car.
