I do... (1206 words)

---

"Do you, Noah Hanifin, take Y/N, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

"And, do you, Y/N L/N, take Noah, to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do."

"And by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you as husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride!"

---

Ahh, the memories from our ceremony. Where did the good times slip away to? What happened to us? I swear, all we've been doing is arguing for the past 36 hours. Silent treatment was being passed to one another and I was getting sick of it. We never contemplated about getting a divorce. The two of us couldn't bear to do that to our family. We knew that we do truly love each other...

---

"Why, hello there, Mrs. Hanifin," Noah smirked as he helped me get into the limo, which was taking us to the reception venue.

"That'll never get old, Mr. Hanifin," I returned the smirk back to him as I buckled the seatbelt in. "I'm really glad that I married you, Noah."

"I'd never trade this life for anything else. I love you so damn much, Y/N Hanifin."

"And, I love you so damn much, Noah Hanifin," I said back to him, leaning forward to place my lips on top of his. "I will love you forever. No matter what." And that was one of the many 'I love you's we said to each other since we got married.

---

I smiled softly at the moment when we were in the limo going to the reception venue, which I recall; was a beautiful part of the long day. Biting my lower lip as I continued to think about the day, I heard crying emitting through the monitor. Sighing to myself, I lifted myself off of the couch and started to walk up the stairs.

---

"Oh my god..." I mumbled to myself while looking down at the test. "It's positive." Happy tears started to flood the waterline, knowing that Noah would be happy with the news.

"I'm so happy for you two!" B/F/N hugged me cautiously, not wanting to put pressure. "Trust me, you and Noah are going to be great parents."

"You really think so?" I bit my lip out of a nervous habit. "What if I'm not a good mother? What if-" My rambling got interrupted as I heard the front door open and then closed.

"And, that's my signal to leave. Once again, congratulations to you and Noah!" She waved 'bye' to me and as she did, she gave Noah a big hug, which left him in a confused mood.

"What happened here?" He walked into the bathroom with a smirk on his face.

"I have something to tell you..." I bit my lip, stifling my humongous smile that wanted to appear.

"Ok," Noah nodded his quizzically, "go ahead. You don't want a divorce, do you? I haven't done anything wrong, I swear. I promise I'll do the chores more. Please, don't file the papers..."

Rolling my eyes at the sudden outburst, I grabbed a wad of tissue paper and rolled it around the end of the test. "What, no! I'm not going to file for divorce, Noah!" He let out a sigh of relief, content that I wasn't going to file any papers. "But, we are going to have to file some papers in about 9 months..."

"Why? What's happening in 9 mon-Oh my god! Are you serious?"

"I'm actually serious, Noah! We're going to become parents!"

"I love you so much." Tears of joy started to flow down his cheeks as he cupped my cheeks in his hands and kissed me passionately yet gentle. "And, I love you too, baby." He got down on his knees and softly kissed my stomach.

---

"Shh, I'm right here, honey. Don't cry, Mommy's here." I tried to soothe our daughter, D/N, by swaying back and forth, rocking, etc.

I started to, and I don't know why, sing "One Call Away" by Charlie Puth.

"I'm only one call away, I'll be there to save the day..." I started to softly sing to quiet them down.

"Superman's got nothing on me, I'm only one call away." Someone started to sing the song. Turning around to look at who it was, I saw it was Noah who was singing.

"You're here." I breathed out, surprised that he found me up here.

"Of course," he gently smiled at us. Walking up to us, he gently swooped D/N into his arms and patted me on the back. "I want to talk to you down in the living room. It's nothing bad, I promise."

Nodding my head, I left the room and started to head downstairs to go sit on the couch.

---

"Congratulations on your baby girl, Mr. and Mrs. Hanifin!" The doctor congratulated us as they gently handed them to one of the nurses to get her cleaned up and dressed. "I'll be back later to check up on the mom and daughter." The doctor smiled at us before leaving the room.

My head rested on the pillow, my breathing starting to even out after the 8 and a half hours of enduring pain.

"You did great, Y/N," Noah whispered softly into my ear. "I'm so proud of you. Thank you for gifting us with the beautiful baby girl into the world." He kissed my sweaty forehead and I smiled back at him, my throat hurting from all the screaming and yelling.

"Who would like to hold the baby first?" The nurse returned with our daughter in her arms, looking at the two of us.

"I think the dad would love to hold her first," I hoarsely whispered, pointing towards Noah.

"Wait, are you sure, Y/N?" Noah looked at me a little confusedly, "don't you want to hold her first?"

"Noah," I tried to laugh the best I could, "I've had her to myself for the past nine months...I think you should be the first out of us to hold her."

"If you say so," Noah nodded his head as the nurse gently set the baby down in his arms.

"I'll be back in a few hours to check up on you two. Congratulations!" The nurse politely excused themselves and left the room, leaving just the three of us alone.

"She is so beautiful..." I croaked, softly tracing her cheeks with the pad of my thumb.

"Just like her mommy." He chuckled to himself as he wiped the tears away from his eyes with his free hand.

"Honey," I chuckled to myself, "are you crying?"

"Maybe I am, maybe not." He quietly laughed it off. "I promise to the both of you that I will do my best to protect you two."

---

"I'm sorry. I never should've done that to you, Y/N."

"It was an honest mistake, Noah. Every married couple has their ups and downs, honey..."

"But, you're right, Y/N! I'm rarely there for you and D/N!"

"Noah, listen to me. I said that out of anger. Babe, I never meant that literally. Remember what I said to you during our wedding day?"

"I will love you forever. No matter what happens."

"Exactly, Noah. I still am and I always will. To infinity and beyond."
