At the Argus base, the Atlesian guards watch the screen as Caroline Colossus is seen trying to swipe at the airship Maria and Octavia are in while trying to fight the giant you were piloting.

Cordovin: You just couldn't keep this rivalry between us, could you, Calavera?! You had to rope in children to fail with you!

The guards cheer on their boss as she fires another shot from the mech's arm cannon. Unbeknownst to them, a red dot appears on one of the radar's screens approaching Argus.

(Back at the cliffside) 

Ruby and the team were watching you fight Cordovin mecha. You clenched the three digit fist and smashed it against the main body of the Colossus

Octavia: Ruby!

Ruby regroups with Weiss, Rin, and Quill Branwen.

Octavia: (over comms) Ruby, can you hear me? Are you guys okay?

Ruby: Are we okay?!

Octavia: I know, we were supposed to lay low, but listen! I think I finally found a weakness!

Nora: Well, we're all ears.

Ruby and her friends notice Nora and June helping Pyrrha over.

Rin: (relieved) girls!

Rin runs over to her teammates.

Octavia: The cylinder on Cordo's cannon rotates and locks in a giant Dust cartridge every time she changes attack styles.

Weiss: We noticed.

Octavia: Right, but her missile launcher doesn't lock in, it pops out! Without her shields, one well-placed shot could detonate the missiles while they're still in the launcher!

June: We could destroy the entire cannon... Octavia, that's brilliant!

Pyrrha: Can you... make that kind of shot?

Ruby: We'll only get one chance before she catches on. I'd have to be practically staring down the barrel of her cannon.

Maria: Well, I've got a way to guarantee that.

Ruby: y/n did you-

You: I heard, I'll be sure to hold her in place.

Maria flies the airship back over to Ruby's group. She stops with the hatch doors open. Ruby runs forward.

Quill: Ruby, what are you doing?!

Ruby hops into the airship and heads off to do her part. The others watch the airship heading towards Cordo's and your mech fight. Ruby smiles at Maria and Octavia.

In the mech, one of the screens has a popup message saying "ARGUS BASE INCOMING CALL". Cordovin notices this, but her attention is then drawn away.

Maria: Hey, Cordo! I've got one missile left and I know exactly where I'm gonna stick it!

Cordovin: (chuckles) One missile you say? That's a shame, Maria, because I have plenty!

Cordovin has the missile launcher pop out from the mech's arm cannon but you hold it in place while holding the Mecha face plate. Maria continues flying toward her.

Octavia: ARE YOU TWO CRAZY?!!

Maria: Sometimes the best approach is simply the most direct!

As the airship moves closer, Ruby gets into position and aims at Cordovin's mech cannon. Cordovin gasps as she pulls up a screen, noticing Ruby and catching on to her plan.

Cordovin: You!

Ruby pulls the trigger, but suddenly, the missile launcher retracts back into the arm cannon and the bullet is deflected. Everyone gasps in shock. Cordovin the operate the cannon to punch you with it but you step back but the blade scrapes the outer shelling.

Cordovin: You thought you could fool me?!

She readies the arm cannon again, this time about to fire a lightning Dust attack.

Octavia: Pull up!!

Maria pulls up the airship, but it still gets partially caught in the blast. The rest of the group on the cliff move out of the way. The airship is affected by the electricity, and the controls electrify her

Maria: ow! Ow! 

Octavia: No, no, no!!

Maria: Take control!!

Octavia grabs the joystick as he barely gains control of the airship.

Octavia: We're gonna crash! We're gonna CRASH!!

Cordovin readies another cartridge and fires at you with a large ice blast hitting you in the leg trapping you. She then fires multiple blasts of electricity at you, making several burns appear. 

Cordovin: and that's why a misshaped mess like you will never win

The short old woman smirks and walks towards the cliff going to finish her mission.

(Meanwhile)

The rest of the group emerge from the smoke on the cliffside, coughing.

June: Look!

The group watches as the airship crash lands into the forest. As Weiss gasps, Quill runs and transforms into her avian form and flies over to the crash site.

At the crash site, the engines can be heard shutting down.

Octavia: We're... we're still in one piece!

Suddenly, Octavia hears the stomping of Cordovin's mech. Ruby stumbles out of the airship before collapsing to her knees

Cordovin: (laughs) Very clever, but even the smartest apes can't compete with the intellect of man.

Ruby uses Crescent Rose to stand herself back up. She looks over to the airship to see Maria coming out using her weapon to stand up.

Maria: go kid.

Ruby then looks toward Cordovin with a determined expression and walks forward, she also noticed a floating iceberg with hole in the center floats by. Suddenly, Quill appears and takes her niece's hand.

Quill: Ruby, stop!

Ruby looks back to her Aunt, still bearing her determined expression. Quill gasps.

Ruby: I need you to trust me.

Quill closes her eyes and ultimately relents as Ruby pulls her hand away. She walks to the edge of the cliff and stands face to face with Cordovin's mech.

Cordovin: Surrender for your crimes, and accept your punishment.

. . .

Ruby: (defiantly) No!

Cordovin gasps in shock as Ruby's friends look to her.

Ruby: We're going to Atlas. Bigger people than you have tried to stop us and failed, but we're supposed to be on the same side! We're supposed to use our power to protect people, but you just use yours to look down on everyone!

Cordovin ponders Ruby's words.

Ruby: We didn't want to steal from you. We did it because you gave us no other choice! Now I'm giving you one last chance to stand down and hear us out.

Silence for a moment.

Cordovin: I've heard enough...

Cordovin then aims her arm cannon at Ruby. Ruby's friends run over to her in panic.

Octavia: (reaching out) Ruby!!

Quill gains a look of horror on her face as Cordovin fires up the arm cannon. Suddenly a large claw clamps down on the cannon rearing it back. Cordovin sees you, still standing.

Cordovin: what!? How! 

She also noticed, that your left arms was black and a dragon skull was formed where the arm was. Your other arm then turns electrical with tendrils forming as fingers. They elongated and you look at her.

You: my turn.

You then whip the fingers down stroking them across the body causing burns to form which also made her systems to spark at the power overload. She tries regaining control but couldn't.

Cordovin: no, no!

You punch her multiple times making her fall down onto the cliff face you then jump up and shift your claws back to normal and bring them down like a hammer making her dig into the cliff face. You make the giant walk over to the teams side of the cliff and bend down. The face plate opens and you slip out falling. Weiss activated a black glyphs. Quill catches you and puts you on the ground.

 Ruby comes over and hugs you.

Ruby: y/n? Y/n!

You open your eyes and look at them, you smile weakly and pecked her lips

You: I had it covered

The Atlesian airship's engines can be heard coming back on as it hovers lightly above the ground. Maria managed to fix the controls.

Maria: Oh, don't tell me I missed it!

(Meanwhile)

Adam: You knew you couldn't win two-on-one at Haven. What makes you so sure you can win now?

Blake: I don't have a choice. I have people who actually care about me, and I promised I'd never leave them again. So I'm not dying now.

You and Yang smile at their partner's words before glaring back at Adam. Eve readies her blade.

Adam: You know, she made a promise to me once. That she'd always be at my side. Heh, and look how well she's kept it.

You: Did she make that promise to you? Or to the person you were pretending to be?

Silence.

Adam: So I wasn't just good enough for you?

Blake: You know it's so much more than that.

Adam: I know you've made your choice... and I've made mine.

He readies his sword and you three ready your weapons but Blake only uses her scabbard for gambol shroud. They're was a moment for the five combatants.

Then Yang and Blake go first each of them exchanging blows. Blake hits him a couple times, Adam tries to strike her but thanks to her semblance disappeared, you knee him from behind shooting to Yang who punches him away.

Blake puts the scabbard away and cart wheels to her broken weapon. She hangs on to the ribbon and throws it to Adam but deflected which started to spin back Blake luckily Yang noticed and catches it.

She pulls it swings Blake to Adam she uses the momentum and pulls out the cover again but Adam blocks it. The two glare at eachother but the blade pushes the two away. Blake hits the wall behind her making her aura disappear. She then slips and falls but catches the ledge of the cliff hanging on. You get worried and look to Yang.

You: Yang, help Blake!

She nods and goes to help. You then hear Adam unsheathing his blade while you ready your own.

Adam: Moment of truth, y/n. Think you could've been fast enough to face me at Beacon.

You blink and slowly lose grip on your sword. Adam noticed this and chuckles

Adam: (smiling) Me neither.

He takes his blade out and rushes you but you block a few swings and roll away. Dodging most of his blows but he got a few hits. You gasp and put your hands on the ground.

Adam: I heard from reports, that you don't have an Aura so one good hit and your history.

You pant for breath as Adam angrily grunts at you. You mearly ready your blade.

Meanwhile. Blake struggles to climb up, but then sees Yang offering a hand, she takes it but, when she climbed up she sees over, to spot Adam advancing on you who has gotten back up.

Adam: go on strike me down already 

Eve was going to strike Adam but blocks her blow and the blades power pushes her back hitting Yang and Blake back to the ground. Adam turns back to see your swing but blocks it and kicks you away.

Adam: what does she see in either of you.

You get back up and get confused for a moment. But get out of the stupor when Adam throw's his blade like a buzz-saw but you blocked it with your sword. The blade bounces back going back into Adams hand he then uses his Semblance sending you back. You pick yourself back up.

Adam: You're just a coward like her!!

He then sends a red wave at but at that moment you stand back up and ready the blade. The red wave hits you with dust covering you. Adam swings his blade down but when it hits, a flash of light erupts from the dust cloud. When the dust clears Adam looks in shock as you caught his sword with bigger and far more opposing sword with both of your hands holding the handle

You look up at him with glare on your face.

You: Adam Taurus.

You slip Adams blade in-between the tridents points. drag it back retching Adam forward. You then ready a fist

You: begone

Then a green energy engulfs your fist and you punch him straight in the stomach sending him flying across the dirt even making a crater trail. He stops and a red shimmer appears on him then his aura dissipated. He gets back and goes to grab his blade thinking it was in his scarab but noticed it wasn't their.

You: I might not look strong but I'm more skilled and smarter then you.

You look down at Adam's blade on the ground and bring the large sword up with two hands and bring it down smashing the sword in to pieces. 

Adam: no!

Then a fist collides with his face sending him flying. Blake comes back along with Yang and Eve. He trips across before noticing the pieces of gambol shroud on the ground. He rushes to it and Blake was going to do the same but a shadow passes her. Adam was near inches away but then.

. . .

A sharp pain erupts from his chest. He looks to see the katana in his chest. He looks up expecting Blake but was actually Eve. She has tears rolling down her eyes and glare on her face.

Adam: Eve.

She retracted the blade and he stumbled forward a couple of steps to the cliffs edge and falls to his knees. He feels the pain coming to him he looks one last time at Eve then closes his eyes before falling down the cliff hitting another edge with a sickening crunch, before disappearing into the water below.

Adam Taurus is finally dead.

Suddenly, Blake and Eve starts to sob and falls to their knees as they breaks down crying. Yang runs over to hug Blake. Blake hugs back. You go over and sit with Eve. You put her head on your chest as you rock her side to side.

Blake: (tearfully) I... I am not going to break my promise, I swear.

Yang: I know you won't.

The four continue to embrace as Blake and Eve continue to sob. You notice how Blake and Yang are really close you mearly smile and what he meant earlier.

(Meanwhile)

Back at the cliffside...

Cordovin: (struggling to pick up the mech back up) No! No, no, no, NO!!! You! You're never getting to Atlas! Do you hear me?! NEVER!!! (presses a button on the controls) All forces converge on my position and eliminate these pests at once!

Octavia: Crap!

Maria: Everyone on board! We're making a run for it!

June: What about Yang and Blake?

Back in the mech, one of the screens read "ARGUS BASE CHANNEL OPEN".

Atlas Soldier: Ma'am, we've been trying to reach you! Argus is in danger!

Cordovin's expression widens in horror.

Cordovin: What?

At the Argus base, various Atlas personnel all rush to their battle stations. A pair of guards are seen looking out at the ocean. In the distance, a towering Grimm can be seen stomping in the water towards Argus.

It lets out a terrifying roar. The Atlas guards then turn around and notice a massive legion of Manticores and Sphinxs in the air above the city of Argus.

Atlas Soldier: It's a Leviathan! It began its approach during your battle! We need you!

Ruby looks back to her friends in horror, who all share equally concerned expressions. They look to Cordovin's mech, still struggling to lift back up... But you crawl back into the golem and get into a ready stance.
