Stigmata are markings to defy the so-called Will of Honkai's goal to eradicate mankind.

They're formed through the human maidens or rather girls who possessed the antibody of it, and slowly reveal and take shapes in markings on their skin at any part of their body.

Those who possess a stigma or stigmata have the power to control Honkai. The example is Yae Sakura who possessed the stigmata marks of a Sakura flower and a three-tomoe mark together during the time she's possessed by the Herrscher of Corruption.

There are also those who possess Stigmata that are artificially created by those from the Anti-Honkai organization named Schicksal, who have made researches about it for so long. Schicksal only created this kind of Stigmata thanks to the representatives who came from Houses Kaslana and Schariac.

They are called Artificial Stigmata. But there is a massive difference between a Natural Stigmata and an Artificial Stigmata. Due to the lacking samples of Stigmata, they're less potent than the Natural Stigmata and shortens the women's lifespans. An example who possess such dangerous stigma is my old friend in this world, Himeko.

And then, there's a Legendary Stigmata, Those who exist with this kind of Stigma are usually the brand for a host to become a Herrscher.

They're very powerful and only visible to a person who has been chosen to become a Herrscher: a powerful hand man of the Will of Honkai. Example is Mei who possesses the stigma named: Thunder Empress as a Herrscher of Thunder.

But there is a unobtained Legendary-type of Stigmata that nobody was able to obtain it at all because it's impossible. It was only possessed by a person who truly understands the deeper motive of the Will of Honkai itself and rebels on its own to fulfill it in his own way.

It was now passed down to another person who will fulfill that goal in his own way too.
