Seele's Point of View: Matushka often praised my borscht and said that it's better than hers. "What should we have for today?" Asked Bronya. "I haven't had borscht for a while. Let's do this." I also made the borscht that Bronya age on her first day. But she ate it really quickly. She probably forgot about the taste.

"Is this all the vegetables we need?" Asked Bronya. "Carrots, onions, potatoes... we still need a beet. We need that to make a really red borscht." I said. "A beet? What is that?" "Make borscht with me, Bronya, and I'll show you." "But I've never looked before. I probably get in the way." "You can definitely give a try. You played with knives before, right? You can help me cut the vegetables." "Cut? How? Into strips?" "Cut carrots diagonally, and use a wet blade on onions of they'll make you cry. Half the potato first and lay it on the table to cut easily." "What about the beet?" "Do whatever you like with the beet. I'll get some spetsreserv beef stew."

Later: I found Bronya staring at her work when I came back. "Whoah! That's the best knife work I've ever seen..." I said. "Smaller pieces should cook faster, right?" Asked Bronya. "It's awesome! You need to show me how to do that! Everything is set. Let's start pan-frying the vegetables."

Time went by as we looked. "Add some ketchup. That should do. Simmer the beef stew in hot water."

"Add some salt... and wait for 30 minutes."

And as usual, Bronya and I read the "Daughter of the Sea" together while we waited. We closed the book when we could smell the borscht. "The timer has stopped Bronya. This is our borscht! Give it a try, Bronya!" I said. "You probably make better borscht than me." Said Bronya. "This is your first borscht, Bronya. I'll have a try." "How does it taste, Seele?" "Spasibo, Bronya! You're the best cook ever! Try it too!" Bronya hesitated for a while. She finally decided to take a sip. "Da. This tastes like borscht I had when I first arrived at the orphanage. I was cold and hard... but the borscht thawed my heart. Perhaps it was the borscht that convinced me to stay. The soup, Matushka, and friends... Thank you, Seele." "I should be the one thanking you, Bronya. You're always standing up for me. I'm so happy that there's something I can help you with. Oh yeah, Matushka said the borscht tasted better with some smetama sour cream. Once the wars end and people start growing food again, we'll buy a huge tub of smetama!" "Da! Let's swear on that!"

My Point of View: I paused and wanted to speak to Seele. "You really did teach Bronya how to make borscht." I said. "You already knew?" Asked Seele. "There was that one time before Christmas that Bronya made me and Kiana borscht when Mei and Himeko were late. Bronya also told me that you were the one who taught her but didn't tell the other girls. I don't know why she only told me. It felt like she trusted me." "And did you like it?" "I did. It was unlike anything else I've had from other foreign countries. I had to admit that the beetroots looked like Radishes and turnips because of the shapes." "It's good to know that Bronya still knows how to make borscht." "I know. You were the one that taught her how to make borscht and she still knows how to make it." I got back to reading the rest of the diary entry.

Seele's point if view: Bronya is so gifted! She learned how to make borscht in an instant. "And why would she do that again?" A mysterious voice spoke. "I'm so happy that I can help Bronya with something!" "You can only help her in cooking, and she learned that pretty easily. I know you're happy about helping Bronya... If Bronya is hurt and helpless, won't that make you happier."

My point of view: "Wait, did Seele write this? It seems like she's talking to herself. The tone also sounds super weird." 'If only I could take a screenshot with my smartphone but I'm not in the real world now so I can't take a screenshot.' "Seele, I have two questions. There are strange lines in the diary. Did you write them? Is it a secret SOS message?" "That's impossible. I wrote every diary entry myself." "Is there anyone around you?" "No. I'm alone here." "I saw a strange diary entry that appeared to be written by someone else. I'm a little worried." "I'm the only one here. I'm not in danger." "But there's one weird entry. Here, I'll show it to you." Before I could show the pages to Seele, they were not there anymore. "Hey! It just disappeared. Where did it go? It was just here after I just finished reading it." "I flipped through my diary. I couldn't find anything weird that you've just described. Perhaps..." "It's fine. Maybe I made a mistake. I must of read the entry wrong and my sight must have been playing a trick on me with mixing words."

'That was strange. I'll check the other entries... Who could that have been? I sense another prescience. But where? I could ask Drago if he's familiar with this presence. But he's asleep right now. Better continue reading the dairy and see if I can find more clues and details.'
