(Morning)

It was now the day of the Rite of Descension. We woke up when the sun's light made contact with us. Instantly we got up and changed. We checked out of Wangshu Inn and now leaving for Liyue Harbor. Now with Fu Hua and the Captain of the Hyperion with us, we had a bigger party. As we walked along the path going through Guili Plains, we saw more of Liyue. Fu Hua and the Captain told us about their experiences in Liyue, including Theresa and Himeko.

Fu Hua: The people at Wangshu Inn didn't recognize me in the poster because of my hair.

Captain: And because of what I was wearing also.

Patrick: They probably haven't seen Sakura or Kallen either.

Paimon: It's such a shame that they didn't want to watch the Rite of Descension up close and chose not to meet you right now.

Fu Hua: They felt that it wasn't the right time to meet up with us. When the Captain, the ELFS, and I met them, they also had Selune's Elegy and Higokumaru with them.

Patrick: Higokumaru isn't an ELF. She was actually a giant demon fox spirit. However, she was originally human 50,000 years ago before getting turned into a Herrscher by the Honkai turning evil then getting sealed away.

Aether: Herrscher?

Theresa: It's a term we use for Honkai Gods that get chosen by the Honkai to lead them. They were originally human but get turned into Herrschers by the Honkai.

We walked underneath the rock structure then in our sight was Liyue Harbor. We stopped to take in the view. There it was. Liyue Harbor.

Paimon: Wow, so his is Liyue Harbor.

Patrick in mind: Just like what we saw in the trailer where Amber takes the viewers to Liyue Harbor.

Seele: It's so beautiful.

Fu Hua: We better enter right away. We don't want to miss the Rite of Descension.

We kept going and entered into Liyue Harbor.

Paimon: If you wanna find the Geo Archon, this is the only chance you'll get all year. Guess it's a good thing Venti brought it up earlier, otherwise we definitely would've missed this year's Rite of Descension.

Patrick: And we better hope that the Abyss Order nor the Fatui don't cause anything bad to it.

Aether: Do you know where it is?

Paimon: Well, Venti brought up the time, but Paimon... knows nothing about where it is... Ehe. Look, we're already in Liyue so let's go ask some of the locals.

Fu Hua: I have a better idea. The Captain and I have asked where it is and we can take you there. I believe you should explain about the Geo Archon right about now.

Paimon: Oh, right. About the Geo Archon, "Morax"... Did you know? The Mora we use is named after this god.

Kiana: Not really.

Paimon: But it's seen as impolite for people from outside of Liyue to refer to the Geo Archon by that name. So we should refer to the Geo Archon by the name Rex Lapis, like the people of Liyue do.

Fu Hua: Follow me.

We followed Fu Hua and the Captain up to Yujing Terrace. Fu Hua told us about Liyue and about contracts and business and the Qixing.

(Yujing Terrace)

We got to the high ground of Liyue Harbor where the Rite of Descension was going to be held at.

Paimon: Paimon heard that the best time to make a wish is today, during the Rite of Descension. Wanna give it a try?

Kiana: Yes we will.

Fu Hua: Let's do that.

We went to the censor on the right.

Ivanovich: Your first time in Liyue? Actually, it's my first time to see the Rite of Descension too. Ah, look! That's Ms. Ningguang of the Liyue Qixing.

We turned to see the woman, Ningguang.

Patrick in mind: So that's Ningguang.

Fu Hua: I've actually spoken with her before.

Ivanovich: Only those who have control in Liyue can preside over the Rite of Descension. Oh yeah, not sure if you knew, but most of the adept appear in the form of various beasts. I heard that when attending these kinds of formal occasions, Rex Lapis himself appears as a celestial cross between two of Liyue's ancient mythical creatures... ...Sorry, I shouldn't interrupt your wishes. Please take these.

Ivanovich handed us incenses for us to put in the censor. We made our wishes.

Aether: I wish I could get some leads from the Geo Archon.

And then it glowed. Now we went to the censor on the left.

Changshun: Oh, you also want a little adept luck too?

Fu Hua: Yes we actually do.

Changshun: Haha, seems you know a lot! Making a wish during this time is sure to get you the blessing of both the Adepti and Rex Lapis himself. I've already made my wish, so you can take these.

Changshun handed us incenses like Ivanovich did.

Paimon: Great, thanks!

We made our second wishes.

Aether: I wish I could find my sister soon...

And then it glowed like before.

Paimon: Great! Now that we're all done with the wishing, guess we can just wait here for things to get started. Hmm, who knows how long that Ms. Ningguang lady is gonna take.

We waited for the Rite of Decension to begin. After some time had passed, it finally began.

The Valkyries, Captain, and I knew what was going to happen but had to go with the flow of the game.

Paimon: Whoa! Look at all the people... We gotta get up front! We can't see squat back here!

Patrick in mind: Ok, I guess we can do that. No matter how far we are, there will be guards that will suspect everyone that was at the high ground.

So we got up closer to get a better view. Ningguang looked up at the sky then began.

Ninggung: The hour is upon us.

She used her Geo magic and began the Rite of Descension. Then she levitated three glowing stones in a larger censor causing it to glow then shot a magical beam into the sky and created a twister. All of a sudden, the sky and clouds turned dark. And then Kiana sensed sensed something from in the sky. I sensed it too. And so did Aether.

Kiana in mind: What is this... this feels so similar to Sirin... and me...

Then a dragon like creature fell out of the sky like a rag doll. That dragon was Rex Lapis. The entire crowd gasped. Then we heard the crowd gasp sound effect we always heard in movies, tv shows, cartoons, Anime, and video games. Ningguang observed the body and determined that the body was dead.

Ningguang: Rex Lapis has been killed! Seal the exits!

Then guards came rushing in to seal all the exits to find the assassin who killed Rex Lapis.

Paimon: Wha... What's going on!? Did she just say Rex Lapis is... The Geo Archon... is... DEAD!? Oh no, the Millelith! Looks like they're nabbing suspects who got too close. Paimon's freaking out. The killer is amongst us! Wait... we got close... are we suspects!?

Fu Hua: I'm afraid so.

Aether turned to leave.

Paimon: Wait, where are you going?

Aether in mind: It was the god we faced off against when we first arrived in this world too...

Paimon: Oh no... there's a whole bunch of soldiers out there too! Your identities... You may not be the killers, but we can't let them get you! But... can we get out of here safely?

Fu Hua: Maybe we can if we split up.

Himeko: She's right. We better split up then meet back up somewhere else.

So we split up and slipped away. Aether was with Pamon. Kiana was with Mei. Bronya was with Seele. Himeko was with Theresa. And I was with the Captain. Fu Hua went solo. We met back up at the spot where Aether and Paimon arrive with Childe with Hydro magic that saved them from the guards.

Kiana: *Panting* First being wrongfully accused of stealing the Holy Lyre and now this!

Patrick: Just how many misunderstandings are we going to go through?

Captain: Brother, this was really humiliating getting into a misunderstanding.

Patrick: You're the one always getting abused and misunderstood by the girls. And you're supposed to be the comic relief.

Paimon: *Panting* Phew... Paimon's exhausted...

Aether: Just what muscles does magical floating use exactly?

Paimon: So insensitive! You have no idea just how tiring floating arou— Wait! Just who are you exactly?

Childe: Call me Childe.

Paimon: Childe? What, so we're supposed to dote on you?

Childe: Haha, no, no, not at all. It's an alias of sorts. In Mondstadt, I don't suppose you came across a "Signora" by any chance.

Paimon: Signora... Childe...

What we figured out made us all draw out our weapons and pointed them at him.

Paimon: You're Fatui! One of the Harbingers!

Childe: Oh, no. Don't worry, I'm not looking for a fight. Signora gave you quite the bad impression huh? Tsk, that woman... Can't say I'm a fan ether.

Patrick: You can say that again. She had the Fatui steal the Holy Lyre before we got it back then she kicked out butts and stole Barbatos' Gnosis and teleported away to leave no evidence behind so the Knights of Favonius can't pin them down for any crimes they've caused.

Childe: Right, let's forget about her, shall we? I'm here to help you.

Kiana: We don't want help from a Fatui scum like you.

Theresa: You'll all just criminals and bad people and villains that want to take over Mondstadt.

Aether: They're right. We don't need help from Fatui.

Childe: Come now, don't be like that. I'm not a bad guy... Okay perhaps I'm kind of a bad guy, but I'm not here to give you any trouble. Would it be too much to ask for you to keep the sword sheathed?

Patrick: Fine... looks like we have no choice...

We put our weapons away.

Childe: Haha, I thank you for your knightly nobilities. I've heard of your deeds in Mondstadt, so I couldn't help but notice you during the proceedings back there. And because I had my eyes on you the whole time, I know it wasn't any of you. Someone else was clearly behind it. But... regrettably, given that I'm a Fatui envoy from Snezhnaya... there's no way I'd be trusted after something of this magnitude. The ruling Qixing of Liyue has always been overly suspicious of us.

Paimon: Well can you honestly blame them?

Childe: Hahaha. Guess I shouldn't try to deny that. Okay, sure. Maintaining a distance between strangers is probably a good idea. Either way, I'm already used to it at this stage. But right now, if you want to clear yourselves of any suspicion — you need to get yourselves to Northland Bank. Staying here isn't an option. As the old Liyue saying goes: "The walls have ears."

Fu Hua: Well, it looks like we're gonna have to put disguises on so none of the soldiers recognize us.

We had to put on disguises so that none of the guards recognize us. Theresa put on her Sugar Haw Child dress, Mei put on her Shadow Dash outfit, Kiana put on her Frostmoon Bunny dress, Fu Hua transferred into her Phoenix dress when she went by the name of Jingwai, Himeko changed into her Vernal Brocade dress, Seele changed into her Mirrored Flourishes dress, Bronya changed into an outfit resembling Ultra Dimension Blanc, and I changed into the outfit I wore when I was still in Princess Kongming's homeward. The Captain changed into an outfit resembling Klein from "Sword Art Online".

Then we looked for Childe and met up with him at Northland Bank.

Paimon: Northland Bank...

Childe: Correct. This bank was opened here by Snezhnaya. Though everyone knows Liyue is the most enterprising in Teyvat, Snezhanaya is not short of change either.

Paimon: Yeah well, poorer nations don't seem the type to have diplomats that come around acting the way yours do towards the Knights of Favonius.

Childe: Eh-hehehehe... Here, let me give you these.

Paimon: These are...

Fu Hua: Sigils of Permission.

Childe: I'm not sure, exactly. Sometimes, all money can buy is "things" and not a name for oneself. All I know is that they are sigils. A sigil is to keep the "mighty and illuminated adepti" from bringing harm to you.

Paimon: Adepti?

Fu Hua: Spirits who protect Liyue.

Childe: If you head north from the harbor, then west from Guili Plains, you will eventually reach a stone forest known as Jueyun Karst. The people of Liyue believe it to be the abode of the adepti.

Aether: They really believe that?

Childe: Legend or not, they believe it. As such, offerings to the adepti are made at its borders. Nobody dares venture in. But I have no need for believing — not when I know for a fact that the adepti truly exist.

Paimon: Hate to admit it but your Fatui intel seems alright. But, why would we go looking for adepti anyway?

Childe: Ha, oh my little friend. There are plenty of reasons mortals seek the blessings of adepti. Money, health, love... But for you... you will go for justice.

Paimon: Justice?

Childe: The Qixing will already have dispatched the Millelith. They'll be seeking ut the assassin from amongst the onlookers. But how could a mere mortal kill a god that can sweep aside entire armies? Rex Lapis never gave up his power as a god.

Childe: This level of crude response is beyond what is called for. How suspicious...

Aether: You think the Qixing did it and they're trying to pin it on someone else?

Childe: Your thinking is even more radical than my own. Honorary Knight.

Patrick in mind: Well, mortals in other fiction have found ways to kill fictional gods before.

Childe: Even now, the Northland Bank wouldn't be able to hold the millerite off for long, but the adepti can clear you of any wrongdoing. Liyue was founded by the Geo Archon and the adepti — of course, it was built by force. Look for them. And be faster than the Qixing'ss messengers, so you may give your version of events first. If there is anyone that can help you in Liyue now, it can only be the mighty and illuminated adepti.

We walked down then proceeded to exit Liyue Harbor with our disguises on. Once we were out of sight, I summoned Toriyama then we took off flying to Jueyun Karst.
