(Mondstadt)

Aether and Paimon were called to the Adventure's guild. Joining them were Kiana, Theresa, Neptune, Vert, Jeanne D'Arc and Patrick.

Katheryne: Ah, Traveler. It so happens that a friend of yours asked me to pass on a voice message when I saw you.

Theresa: A friend of ours?

Paimon: Someone left a message for us? Who could it be?

Katheryne: "My beloved retainer, have you noticed that silver thread, of which fate is woven, now twisting and twining itself around you? The Auge der Verurteilung des... hmm? Des... Großen Kaleidophantasmas... will be watching you..."

Katheryne: ...

Paimon: ...

Aether: ...

Girls: ...

Patrick: ...

Theresa: It had to be Fischl.

Katheryne: Apologies, this message is unusually difficult to recite. Would you like to hear more?

Paimon: Uh... definitely sounds like Fischl's note... What should we do?

Aether: I'd love to hear more.

Neptune: So do I! This could be important!

Katheryne: "...will be watching you as you step into the glorious castle of the Immernachtreich. Come to me at once, swear an oath to me in my blessed name, and we shall journey together to the depths of the world."

Katheryne: Anyway, to summarize — Miss Fischl asked me to ask you to go to the plaza in front of the Cathedral. Please meet her there when you have the time. She said that she will be waiting for you.

Paimon: Oh, Fischl... such a mystifying message for such a plain and simple request...

Theresa: Using German in the message when no doy understands the language.

Paimon: Well, if Fischl's expecting us, then let's not keep her waiting. Let's head towards the Cathedral plaza!

(On the way to the Cathedral plaza)

Theresa: After two years since that event with the meteors. We finally get to see her again.

Kiana: And maybe Mona too.

Theresa: I still remember when we first met Fischl and Oz. I asked her if she spoke German and she said yes and she was surprised that I spoke German too.

(Cathedral Plaza)

Paimon: There she is! And Mona, too!

Theresa: There's Oz too!

Fischl: Oh, welcome, welcome, most loyal attendants of the Prinzessin!

Theresa: Long time no see. Freundin.

Mona: Which one is it, "retainer" or "attendant"? Make up your mind...

Oz: My apologies. Mein Fräulein tends to use exaggerated expressions when she's in good spirits.

Paimon: Hey Fischl! You were looking for us, right? Sounds like the fun's started without us! What's got you in such a good mood?

Aether: Nice to see you all again, it's been a while.

Kiana: Since the whole incident with the meteors crashing down and putting people to sleep when someone's constellation was causing that whole problem.

Fischl: And so, the whisper of eternal night summons you back to my side. Splendid! What a blessed reunion, a boon from beyond the eventide! Come, partake of this joy with me, my subjects...

Oz: Traveler, Paimon, it's a pleasure to see you again. Mein Fräulein and I extend to you our most sincere greetings.

Patrick: Since we last saw each other, more have joined our party. Here's...

Neptune: HELLO! It's everyone's favorite character! Neptune! Here in the flesh! I also go by the name Purple Heart when I transform into my HDD form. I rule a little nation called Planeptune. Here I am a paladin. I am also a shinobi.

Vert: Hello. My name is Vert. I also go by the name Green Heart when I transform into my HDD form. I rule a nation called Leanbox. I am an enchanter and a shinobi too.

Jeanne: My name is Jeanne D'Arc. I am the holy maiden and a saint from Orleans.

Paimon: Paimon wants to say a proper hello too, but Paimon has no idea how to, uh... partake...

Mona: A normal person in this situation would simply say: "Hi Traveler, how have you been?"

Aether: Fine, thanks.

Fischl: Hmph! The Traveler and I are like intertwined stars in the vast galaxy. You of all people should very well know the fate foretold by this meeting!

Oz: Precisely! Lady Megistus, please refrain from such unimaginative utterances.

Paimon: ...Lady M—Meg...? What now?

Aether: Is that your new nickname?

Patrick: At least someone can say her last name right.

Fischl: Hehe, Lady Megistus has long since become a citizen of the Immernachtreich. She has been serving as Court Archmage under one's command for some time now.

Kiana: Oh really?

Mona: Ahem! That's just my surname, don't mind that... This is so embarrassing, hahaha...

Mona: You're here because Fischl asked Katheryne to ask you to come, right?

Theresa: Yes that's right.

Fischl: Indeed so, my Archmage. Did even this appear in thy divination? Why, your powers are truly dangerous.

Mona: Oh for the love of... No, of course not! You told me yourself that you'd left a message with Katheryne! Ahem! Excuse me... Anyway, in my case she practically beat the door down to get me to come along... Whatever she says, please don't be too astonished.

Paimon: Ah, don't worry. We've been around the block, you can't faze us!

Neptune: Yes we have!

Fischl: Oh, faithful servants! One's homeland, the Immernachtreich, which bears the darkest of all fates, draws near to this world once more. Stand with me in anticipation, for the glory of our kingdom is nigh!

Paimon: ...

Paimon: Wait, what...?

Fischl: Indeed! Only one's most faithful envoys are fortunate enough to be privy to this great revelation. The Immernachtreich is near Mondstadt!

Aether: Okay, I'll report this to the Knights of Favonius immediately!

Oz: No, please, that will be most unnecessary!

Vert: Why is that?

Mona: I know it sounds absurd, but there's actually something behind this, I promise. Basically, what Fischl means is—

Fischl: Lady Megistus!

Mona: Urgh, alright, alright! Honestly... Look at me, a genius astrologist, forced into a juvenile role-playing game... The truth is that yesterday, Her Highness encountered the Spark Knight, Klee outside of the city. Both being of great fame, they recognized one another instantly, and began to converse.

Theresa: Klee didn't tell me that.

Mona: It was already getting dark, so in that spirit of great compassion and care for which she is known, Her Highness personally accompanied Klee back to Mondstadt. On the way, Her Highness relayed to Klee the story of her origins. Upon hearing the tragic tale of the fall of Her Highness's homeworld, the tender-hearted Spark Knight inquired, with tears welling up in her eyes...

Oz: "Oh no! Is the Immernachtreich really gone? Won't it grow back?"

Fischl: "O mortal, your sovereign's heart is touched by thy sincerity and sympathy. But nay, the Immernachtreich is an everlasting realm, and one day, it shall make its reappearance."

Oz: "Really? So how do we make your homeland grow back again? Oh, pwease tell me, pweeease, pweeeeease!"

Fischl: "Since you inquire so earnestly... give unto me a tranquil haven, promise me eternal admiration, lend me both time and wind, and one shall revive one's homeworld."

Paimon: Could you cut the re-enactment and just get to the point!

Mona: In short, Klee gave Fischl an island to serve as the promised land where the Immernachtreich will reappear. I didn't believe it either at first, but then I saw this letter.

The Mysterious Letter read.

"Esteemed Prinzessin of the Immernachtreich,

I am a witch who travels amidst the mountains and rivers of Teyvat.

I write to you, having heard from my young daughter that your kingdom has fallen and that you are searching for a way to restore it.

Amid the seas under a far-flung sky may the Golden Apple Archipelago be found.

If this masterless land can assist in the restoration of Your Highness's realms, that would be most wonderful!"

Theresa: (Did Alice write this letter?)

Oz: Providence has gifted mein Fräulein with an excellent opportunity. Esteemed Travelers, as mein Fräulein's cherished retainer, you deserve to bear witness to this grand moment with us.

Paimon: This island looks kinda familiar...

Aether: Um...ahh...

Fischl: Traveler! Curtail thy umming and ahhing at once! The throne of the Immernachtreich calls for me. Come, be my blade, clear the way, and witness what is to come!

Mona: I think she just wants to invite you along to the island with her. That being said, I have a feeling that I'll be better off not performing any divination where that island's concerned...

Paimon: Huh? Why not?

Mona: Klee is involved in this, which means her mother is probably involved, which means that old hag is involved... Ugh, thanks, but no thanks.

Theresa: Alice is probably is involved. You can't keep hiding forever, Mona.

Neptune: Your mistress will find you eventually~ Hehehehe~

Mona: SHUT UP!

Aether: What can we do for you, Your Highness?

Fischl: You, who have traveled to the farthest reaches of the world, fathomed the celestial path of stardust in the palm of your hand, and witnessed raindrops converge and become one with the undercurrent of destiny... You, yes, you...

Oz: ...Must chart the course that leads the way to the land promised to mein Fräulein by fate!

Paimon: Ohhh. Fischl doesn't know the way there...

Aether: I knew it...

Paimon: Hehehe, since thou askethed for our help, Paimon can telleth you that we are good friends with the Spark Knight, Klee: The Guides of Destiny!

Aether: Paimon, seriously...

Paimon: Travelers come on, just play along!

Kiana: Ok. Fine.

So they all spoke at once.

Group: Very well! We are the ones whomst hath traveled here from beyond the stars!

Mona: Behold, the watchers, the guides, the weaver of dreams... The Travelers!

Fischl: Hahahaha! Excellent, most excellent!

A crowd of bemused Mondstadters watches on as this spectacle continues for another half hour...

Mona: ...To sum up, Travelers, since you say you know the way, we'll let you take us to the island— I mean, the promised land.

Theresa: For the Prinzessin!

Aether: Lady Megistus, leave it to me.

Kiana: We'll go get the rest of the party and introduce them to you.

Mona: Good, fine, done. Right, now — Lady Megistus needs to go home to pack her things and catch up on some sleep. Your Highness, your other distinguished selves, let's meet at the city gate at nine o'clock tomorrow morning.

Fischl: Very well! Then it is settled. One blesses you with an undisturbed slumber, Lady Megistus. You too, Travelers.

Oz: Mein Fräulein means to say: "Good night, see you all tomorrow."

Paimon: About darn time... good night!

Mona and Fischl leave.

Paimon: Ugh, Paimon's exhausted! You all have proper roles! How come Paimon has to be a clock on the wall in the royal palace!?

Kiana: And it was a huge pain talking like that!

Paimon: "Cuckoo! It's twelve o'clock sharp in the Immernachtreich!"

Neptune: I could of transformed to talk like that but that would mean blowing my cover to any bad guys!

Vert: It was quite nice to talk like that.

Jeanne: Yes it was.

Aether: (Paimon, you're the one who started it...)

Paimon: Hmph. Anyway, since those islands are pretty mind-blowing place, why don't we get some people with mind-boggling ideas to help us out? Kaeya's mind works in mysterious ways, but no one in Mondstadt has ideas that boggle the mind quite like... ...a certain somebody who's definitely going to be in the tavern at this hour. C'mon, let's go rope him into helping us!

Patrick: Now we need Venti's help again. (Considering we already have a dragon to fly us there. But our party is big. So we need two dragons and some of us can fly.)

Neptune: Let's go!

(Angel's Share)

They entered into Angel's Share.

Paimon: We're here! Tone-Deaf Bard! ...Huh!?

Venti was at a table with Xinyan and Kazuha.

Paimon: What are they doing in Mondstadt!?

Venti: Well look at that, you're really here! Come on, take a seat and join our delightful conversation!

Xinyan: Wow, Travelers, Paimon! Speak of the devil, we were literally just talking about you!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Haha, truly a curious coincidence.

They sat down at different tables while Aether sat down next to Venti.

Paimon: Kazuha, Xinyan, what are you doing here in a Mondstadt tavern? And how'd you end up having to share a table with the Tone-Deaf Bard...?

Xinyan: "Tone-Deaf Bard"? Hahaha! Now that's a fun stage name. Seems like you're a pretty well-known singer, fella.

Venti: Though sadly not a rock 'n' roll singer, or we could perform a duet. So, you all know each other! My new-found friends are my old friends' friends from afar... Ah, how fantastic.

Neptune: It is fantastic!

Venti: This is a rare opportunity indeed. Oh, we should form a poetry club and call it... the "Free Poets Society," or something like that.

Aether: You guys came here from Liyue?

Xinyan: Yeah, I felt like getting out and finding some new inspiration for my songwriting. Kazuha felt like going on a trip too, so we figured we'd travel together. Last month, Beidou held a big booze-fueled party called the "Drink-Till-You-Sink Champion-Ship," and she put me in charge of the music. That's where I met Kazuha.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Although Xinyan can come across as unruly at times, her musical understanding is highly nuanced and original. Safe to say, our shared appreciation for music struck a chord in us both.

Xinyan: You can say that again! In Kazuha's hands, even a leaf becomes an instrument! That makes him an expert among my friends. Startin' from Liyue, we passed through Stone Gate and kept going till we came into Mondstadt. Then, along the way, we saw this really awesome manor, it was something else!

Paimon: Oh! Yeah, we know the one. Our friend owns that place.

Theresa: Diluc. He also runs this place too.

Xinyan: Really? Y'all sure have a lot of friends! Well, whoever it is that lives in that fine place must really be lovin' life, huh?

Paimon: Uh... guess so, heh...

Neptune: Having a lot of friends is making Noire not lonely and not a loner anymore.

Kiana: And having lots of friends is great.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Similar souls tend to attract each other. Aether and Paimon, you must have exceptional taste, just like that friend of yours.

Paimon: Wow, you're too nice! Unlike some people who only ever seem to poke fun at Paimon, ahem!

Kiana: Like being called emergency food.

Neptune: And always saying "What do you mean Hehe?!" Hahahahaha!

Xinyan: By the way, do you know anything about the "Iridescence Tour"? It's supposed to be huge. Rumor has it that all seven nations of Teyvat are gonna be involved.

Theresa: I believe that we've heard about it. Liliya and Rozaliya want to be a part of it.

Aether: I remember.

Xinyan: Well, so far it's mostly just empty promises. Anyway, it's supposed to be a music festival. The organizer really did a number on me last time. They canceled on me. But I hear that they're still active. I'd love to give the festival another shot, but wouldn't you know it — the plans fell through again... How can they mess up this bad twice in a row?

Venti: Music is all about inspiration. Maybe the organizers canceled the show because theirs dried up.

Kiana: Or maybe because they just don't like you.

Xinyan: Don't like me?!

Kiana: Sorry! Sorry!

Venti: But fear not, weary travelers, for your journey was not in vain. It has, after all, brought you here, to me, to the temple of music.

Xinyan: Your temple of music must have more than just good tunes — you're a bard, ain't ya? A song's gotta have a good story, or it doesn't make the cut, right?

Venti: Haha, exactly! Ah, you understand the meaning of being a bard so well. To express my gratitude, I will even share one of these stories with you.

Jeanne: (There he goes again. Considering that we're both voiced by the same person.)

Xinyan: Hahaha, you're a funny fella. Are all bards like you?

Kaedehara Kazuha: I've met many bards during my travels, but none of them are as entertaining as you.

Venti: I'm sure it all comes down to the richness of my imagination, and by extension the poverty of theirs. And on that note, here is a fantastical tale that is sure to delight you all.

Venti begins playing his lyre.

Venti: "Legends tell of an emerald isle in the middle of the ocean. There, the Dodo-King and his people live a blissful existence. When a Dodoco is born, it dives into the water. Some learn to swim, others are carried away by the waves all the way to Mondstadt, where they befriend the children there. One Dodoco made a new friend in Mondstadt: the little Spark Knight. But the Dodo-King did not approve. He demanded that the little knight come to the island and prove herself to him. So the little knight, together with her most important friend in all the world, braved the wind and waves, finally reaching the middle of the ocean. But Dodo-King was not there. Dodo-King had lied... There was no trial, by fire or interrogation. The little knight's mother, who was a mage, had built an entire summer city there as a gift to her daughter along with this message: Summer is the season of love. It is the time for freedom and fun. So everyone, please sing, dance, and enjoy yourselves here." ...The end.

Everyone clapped.

Aether: (Strange, I was just about to ask about the island...)

Kaedehara Kazuha: How interesting. I now have the urge to visit that island myself... This is the thing about traveling. You can't plan ahead, better to leave when the mood takes you and go where the heart leads.

Venti: Haha, I'm glad you liked it. Well, there's wine on the table, and I have stories to tell... seems like fate is feeling kind today.

Xinyan: Here's to music! Come on, Traveler!

Venti: Don't worry, if you don't like wine, there's juice as well. What about the rest of you?

Valkyries, CPUs, Jeanne, and Patrick: PASS!

Venti: Very well Suit yourselves.

Kaedehara Kazuha: In that case, I'll have a glass of juice. Hmm... this one. I like the color.

Somehow, Aether gets dragged into drinking one glass after another until... Suddenly, he notices someone is feeling very tipsy.

Kazuha got drunk.

Paimon: Oh no! Kazuha!

Xinyan: Uh-oh, this fella's drunk... But wasn't he drinking fruit juice?

Kaedehara Kazuha: More... please more...

Venti: Oops, I think I accidentally placed some fruity cocktails out there... Ehe, my bad.

Paimon: Seriously!?

Kiana: How could you give him alcohol instead of juice!?

Venti: Anyway, guess it's time to talk about business after all that drinking. You came here because you need my help, I presume?

Paimon: Oh, yeah, that's a good point... We didn't come here to drink...

Jeanne: We came here for your help.

Aether: Venti, come with us.

Vert: It's private.

They go to the top of the tavern.

Venti: Look where we are... Yup, I can sense that you're about to tell me something very interesting.

They tell Venti about the Spark Knight giving an island to Fischl, and Fischl's plans to head there...

Venti: Klee gave a special gift from her mother to an adventurer friend? She's such a kindhearted child.

Theresa: Yes she is.

Venti: As I'm sure you've already guessed, that letter is most definitely written by Alice.

Paimon: Yeah, thought so...

Venti: Speaking of, guess which two people I ran into on my way to the tavern today?

Paimon: Hmm... Master Jean? Or... Lisa?

Venti: A mother and daughter, both with long elf ears and the most amazingly adorable personalities.

Paimon: Alice and Klee!?

Venti: Ding-ding-ding! Correct answer!

Theresa: She went off on a vacation and didn't tell us?!

Kiana: We missed them. (Hoyoverse won't reveal what Alice looks like. So now we have to wait longer to see what Alice looks like.)

Venti: The unaging mage was taking her teeny-tiny knight on a vacation, and I happened to run into them. As a friendly greeting, the mysterious woman gave me a gift... She also said that if I meet any fun friends, I should share this gift with them. So now, it's yours to keep.

Venti reveals the gift.

Paimon: Ahh! It's a bomb!

Venti: Minus the fuse — so don't worry, it's not going to explode. Come on, take it. This way, we can talk to each other just like this even when we're apart.

Aether takes it.

Aether: Wow, that sounds impressive.

Venti: It's called a "Dodocommunication Device," and it allows people to stay in touch over vast distances. However, you can't just use it anytime you want, and there's also a limit on the number of times you can use it. That's why it's currently only available to a certain select few.

Venti: I heard that the inspiration for this comes from another world... Alice is always full of surprises.

Neptune: Just like phones. Maybe Alice knows about other worlds too. And she's maybe been to other words too.

Venti: She and Klee asked me to tell you: "Please take this with you when you depart for the island— no wait, the promised land with your friends, and have fun!" Don't worry about how to get there. The organizers of this vacation have made arrangements. Turn right after you exit the city gates, and you'll see something that will make you very happy.

Paimon: Sounds like the two of you are in cahoots over this...

Venti: Haha, of course not. Is that really the sort of person you think I am?

Patrick: Considering how you act shady like Kaeya.

Venti: Guys, you're my friends. And as your friend, I just want to give you something that will make you happy. How can you think this of me?

Aether: Alright, I'll go.

Kiana: So will we.

Paimon: Fair enough... the Tone-Deaf Bard does like to joke around, but he's still one of our best friends. Besides, a vacation sounds great, hehe... Actually, Kazuha and Xinyan seemed pretty interested in coming on this trip, too. Let's ask them if they wanna join us!

They head back down .

Xinyan: You're back. Poor Kazuha's still out for the count... seems like he can't handle alcohol so well.

Paimon: Xinyan, do you wanna come to the islands with us?

Kaedehara Kazuha: *snore*... adventure... can't...

Xinyan: Huh? He doesn't wanna go anymore? He seemed really interested just a moment ago.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Can't... miss... the adventure...

Xinyan: Hahahaha, Kazuha might act mature, but deep down he's just another youngster eager for new experiences. That must be why he didn't think anything of the "fruit juice" earlier.

Venti: Well, all the more reason for you to join the island trip! You know, a lot of people have praised the beautiful scenery there — even bards.

Xinyan: Okay! Sounds like a plan! Guys, how do we get there?

Paimon: Someone's got it covered, apparently. There'll be a few others joining us on this trip, and we're meeting at the city gate tomorrow morning. We'll wait for you.

Aether: Kazuha, wake up! We're going wandering!

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...Hm? Aether.

Paimon: Oh yeah, they don't know Fischl yet, do they! Okay, so here's the deal, there's a princess from a faraway land and her retinue, who're also coming on this trip...

Xinyan: ...? Uh, Paimon, don't get me wrong, I'm just askin' to make sure... but from the way you're plugging this trip so hard... did the Iridescence Tour folks put you up to this? After all, canceling the Iridescence Tour after people already made the trip... That's kinda the same thing as tricking people into going traveling, ain't it?

Paimon: Ahhh! Why won't anyone believe Paimon!

Venti: Hahaha, don't worry about that for now. You'll all have the chance to get acquainted with each other tomorrow morning. Whether you're a princess, a retainer, a talking raven, a samurai or a musician... You're all VIP guests of the island on your summer vacation, and that's what counts, right? I'm sure lookin' forward to it!

Aether: Are you coming too, Venti?

Venti: I'll have to pass. I have some work to take care of.

Paimon: You serious? The Tone-Deaf Bard actually has plans to do some work?

Venti: I promised a young lady with cat ears and a cat tail that I'd sing in her tavern to boost business and beat the competition. Ah yes, the competition being this place, which has Six-Fingered José.

Theresa: Diona.

Paimon: Aren't you allergic to cats?

Venti: Yup! I can always sing on their roof. She told me that as long as their sales surpass their competitor, there's a whole month's worth of wine in it for me. What a fine employment opportunity, virtually tailor-made for me! So have fun, and don't worry about me. Haha, I feel like this summer is going to be a very interesting one.

Theresa: We'll we better go get the others together.

(Serenetea Pot)

They had gathered the Valkyries, servants, and CPUs who were in Mondstadt in the Serenetea pot. They were at the meeting table except Aether and Paimon.

Theresa: So we're finally coming back to the Golden Apple Archipelago.

Patrick: At first I thought it was never coming back.

Kiana: It has been a year.

Mei: Which of us will go?

Theresa: Patrick and I decided that Kiana, Mei, Bronya, Seele, Fu Hua, Himeko, Patrick, and I will go. We want to be minimal as possible. Then there's also the CPUs and CPU Candidates.

Raikou: I'm going too.

Jeanne: So am I.

Drake: I am also going.

Elizabeth: Same here.

Carmilla: Me too.

Boudica: And the rest of us will stay here on stand by.

Theresa: Alright. Now let's go.

Everyone going: YEAH!

(City gate)

The team going got out of the Serenetea Pot and met Aether and Paimon then go to the city gate.

Fischl: Today is the day of one's reckoning with fate, as foretold by the night sky! Humiliations suffered in the past, the shame we have carried all these years, one bids you adieu! For today, it is time for... retribution!

Oz: Mein Fräulein, if I may be so bold, that final phrase did not sound like one of your own.

Fischl: Of course it wasn't. I just overheard it from someone in the city... Ahem! I mean, thy Prinzessin is merely drawing on the wisest and courageous sayings she has heard in the land, to signify the importance of this day...

Mona: Hmm, let me see...

Mona used her power.

Mona: Huh? It really is someone else's catchphrase...

Himeko: It was from Diluc.

The party arrived with Kazuha and Xinyan.

Paimon: Wow, you're here early!

Mona: Hi!

Mona: Who've you brought with you...?

Paimon: Oh! Ahem! Allow Paimon to introduce to you a fabled wandering swordsman of Inazuma, and an enchanting musical talent of Liyue.

Xinyan: Hey! I'm Xinyan, from Liyue. I like rock 'n' roll, sunny days, and good times. You must be the princess Paimon told us about? You sure do look the part! I hear you're from a faraway land — it's an honor to be in the company of dignitaries!

Theresa: Actually she's called Prinzessin.

Xinyan: And this lady over here... My family tells me that only the wisest scholars wear pointed hats like this one. Guessing that applies to you, too?

Mona and Fischl: (Oh, I like her. She can stay!)

Fischl: Xinyan, your gaze pierces the dark veil of night to arrive at the truth beyond. I am in need of one such as yourself. Very well, you shall be one's musician laureate.

Mona: She's trying to say, thanks, you say all the right things! Um, and the same goes for me too. Pleasure to meet you. I'm Mona, an astrologist.

Xinyan: Oh, well it's nice to meet you too!

Paimon: Mona is amazing, she can find out everything about you by divination!

Kaedehara Kazuha: A princess, an astrologist, and an articulate raven-retainer... In the company of giants, my humble self hardly deserves mention. I am Kaedehara Kazuha from Inazuma. It is an honor to meet you all.

Fischl: What ho, Kazuha, divulge thy epithets and thy vocation.

Oz: Oh, mein Fräulein would like to know where you work, and what your field of expertise is.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Um... I'm afraid I'm just another wanderer...

Paimon: This guy is an expert in the sword arts. He parries blades that none have ever parried before, and strikes like lightning! Mere mortals could not hope to comprehend!

Fischl: (What? Is he really that powerful!?)

Mona uses her astrology power again.

Mona: Let me take a look... huh!? Oh, oh my...

Mona: Hi, Kazuha, I'm absolutely delighted to meet a great swordmaster like you. Could we ask you to be our guard while we're on the island?

Fischl: One hereby declares you Captain of the Royal Guard of the Immernachtreich.

Oz: For even Lady Megistus to praise your skills, you are surely one of rare talent.

Aether: Lady Megistus is absolutely right!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Okay, Lady M—Meg...

Xinyan: Lady M—Megi... what?

Mona: Just call me Mona! Stop calling me that weird name.

Theresa: Now introduce yourselves.

Everyone else introduced themselves. Mona used her astrologist powers and finds out that they were from other worlds too. Fischl was really surprised that the servants were familiars just like Oz. But what shocked her and Mona were that the CPUs and CPU Candidates were goddesses. Thankfully they did not talk loud enough to attract a crowd.

Paimon: By the way, Lady Megistus, we found out how to get to the promised land. A legendary great mage gave us a big hint. Come on, everyone follow Paimon!

They walk out the gate cross the stone bridge then on the other side was a strange big thing resembling Klee's bombs.

Paimon: Look, everyone! Here's our vehicle.

Mona: ... Somehow, I suddenly don't feel like going anymore.

Noire: Why not?

Mona: I don't like it.

Xinyan: What a... unique little thing. Looks kinda like Guoba, doesn't it?

Aether: ?

Fu Hua: No it doesn't.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Guoba... is he the magical creature at Wanmin Restaurant? Now that you mention it... it does look quite similar.

Paimon: Uh... to be honest, even Paimon isn't so sure this can take us to the island after all...

Fischl: ...Hm. I see... I see. Only by meeting the lowliest of ends can we arrive at the Immernachtreich born anew. Haha, behold, the doorway cloven by Thundering Retribution... by such means as I once descended into this realm to bring retribution do I now venture into the next. Come, Oz! Lead the way!

Oz: I will enter first. Mein Fräulein need not worry.

Oz enters in first.

Paimon: ...He's in... and now he's gone!

Fischl: Why... this truly is the path of retribution that leads to the promised land!

Mona: Maybe I should just do a quick reading for safety...

Paimon: Lady Megistus, it's fine! This is Alice's creation, it's totally safe! Spare yourself the trouble, just come with us.

Mona: Oh right! I completely forgot...*sigh* Alright.

Neptune: Coward.

Mona: I am not a coward!

Neptune: Yes you are. And a scaredy cat too.

Mona: SHUT UP! I'm going!

Everyone exchanges glances before, one by one, stepping nervously but excitedly into the "Dodofortress"... The journey is an eventful one... and maybe a little crowded...?

Paimon: It's so dark in here. Um, can someone turn on a light? Hey! Quit pushing!

Mona: Come on now, let's all try and stay... Ow! Fischl! You're treading on my hair!

Fischl: I thought it was a snake!

Neptune: We can't all fit inside!

Xinyan: Ahh! We're flying!

Outside the Dodofortress took off into the sky.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Everyone, be careful!

Theresa: Skme people get outside and fly!

Kiana: OK!

The Herrschers, Seele, CPUs, and CPU Candidates transformed and got out of the Dodofortress and were now flying. Time passed and they finally landed.

Xinyan: Whew, we finally landed! What was that all about...

Theresa: And why did it not have any windows?!

Everyone else got out.

Kaedehara Kazuha: What a beautiful place. The wind is soft and the ocean is calm... And a pleasant scent blows on the breeze.

Everyone looked at the entire view of the Golden Apple Archipelago.

The Herrschers, Seele, CPUs, and CPU Candidates came into view and joined them.

Paimon: Yup! Paimon's feeling way better already now that we can see the ocean!

Fischl: ...

Mona and Fischl finally noticed the transformed people.

Mona: I knew that there was something special about you.

Purple Heart: Yes. We are special.

Kiana: And we have transformations.

Purple Sister: We're Goddesses.

Bronya: And we're Herrschers. Though you don't know about Herrschers.

Patrick: We only transform when someone is too strong for us when in our normal forms.

Black Heart: Don't even think about staring at us!

Seele: But right now we better change back.

Fu Hua: And please don't tell anyone about our other forms or else there will be consequences.

They change back.

Mona: You don't have to worry. We won't tell anyone.

Oz: An ocean of life, and a land filled with flora... Mein Fräulein, we have finally arrived at the promised land, whence we shall revive the Immernachtreich.

Fischl: ...O faithful retainers, this is the blessed paradise that one has been searching for. Here is where we shall witness the culmination of all things!

Theresa: Ja Prinzessin.

Fischl: I, who command the darkness, shall lead you to yonder gate of dreams.

Mona: ...

Fischl: ...shall lead you... to yonder gate of dreams!

Theresa whispers to Mona.

Theresa: Mona. Do as she says.

Mona: ... Your Archmage Megistus thanks you for your kindness, Your Highness. In this moment, I offer my blessings to the Immernachtreich.

Xinyan: Mona... wh—what are you, uh...

Mona: Don't ask, just follow my lead!

Theresa: Right now we're supposed to talk exactly like how they're talking.

Xinyan: Oh... oh right! Praise be to the Prinzessin, who has led us here to this sacred place!

Kaedehara Kazuha: My sincere gratitude to you for inviting me to join you on this trip, Your Highness.

Vert: We thank you for the invitation.

Noire: We accept your blessings your highness.

Fischl: Your happiness gladdens one's heart. Ah... how it delights me to bring us all together here at this most monumentally fateful of moments. Now, as I take my first step on this pilgrimage, I shall perceive this ocean of life with my own earthly vessel. After all, this is where my soul belongs. On the contrary, Lady Megistus, blessed as you are with the great power of Hydro, one yet finds too many impurities in thy soul... Mm-mm.

Oz: Mein Fräulein means Lady Megistus is perhaps not the most talented swimmer.

Mona: ...Fischl, that's enough! I'm happy enough to join in with the play-acting without complaining, but how dare you ridicule my genius? Think you can swim better than me? Hah, I'll bring you to your knees, young lady!

Kiana: Yeah! She can turn into water and cross water very fast!

Neptune: And she is very fast! Faster than you!

Seele: I am also a Hydro user. I can summon water and can lift myself with water and fly.

Oz: Oh my! Mein Fräulein, steel yourself, mein Fräulein!

Paimon: Oh yeah! Swimming race, swimming race! Whoever comes in last is a rotten egg!

Fischl: Challenge accepted! Heed my words, lowly Lady Megistus, you shall pay for your foolishness for as long as you live!

Mona: Ridiculous. I've never lost a single swimming race in my life. Bring it on! First one to run to the beach wins!

Then they run away. Racing.

Xinyan: Are they serious? Running? I thought they were gonna swim.

Uni: She couldn't take her insults anymore and snapped.

Nepgear: And got angry.

Aether: Never mind, looks like they're enjoying this.

Kaedehara Kazuha: I take it you have no present plans? I want to start by surveying the area first. Want to come along?

Aether: Oh Kazuha, it's good we can count on you.

Kiana: I'm also going.

Patrick: So am I.

Neptune and Nepgear: Us too.

Vert: I am also going.

Theresa: The rest of us will split up.

Noire: I better make her that Mona and Fischl don't hurt themselves.

Uni: I'm coming with you, Noire.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Xinyan, are you coming?

Xinyan: Seems like everyone's got things to do... I'll stay here and hold down the fort for now. Mona and Fischl have gone swimming, and someone's gotta set up camp. Don't worry, I got this! You're gonna take a look around, right? Well, make sure you lemme know if there are any good views!

Paimon: Thanks! Will do!

Himeko: I think I'll stay too.

Theresa: So will I. You need help setting up camp.

Xinyan: I guess that I should have some help. Ok.

They split up.

Xinyan: Okay, I'll start by catching ten crabs and twenty fish! Hmm... will that be enough for all of us? Maybe I should prepare something else?

Aether, Paimon, Patrick, Kiana, the Nep sisters, and Vert go with Kazuha. They summon a wave rider and go to one of the islands and find something.

Paimon: Hey, what's that huge weird thing over there!?

Kaedehara Kazuha: It appears to be some sort of machine and an army cap with traces of Hydro next to it. It seems that we are not the first to set foot on this island.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Also, there are footprints here. Fresh ones, likely no more than a few days old.

Kiana: That symbol on the machine. I think we've seen it before.

Paimon: Really? Paimon didn't notice them at all...

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...Hmm?

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...

Kazuha examines the footsteps.

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...

Then he came to a conclusion.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Everyone, stay alert.

Paimon: Why? Did you see something?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Someone was here... and they're still nearby. Judging from the scent... they are visitors here, like us.

Paimon: There's other people here? Oh, Paimon's scared now...Come on, guys, we need to track 'em down!

Girls and Patrick: Yeah!

Paimon: You said the cap had traces of Hydro on it? Then let's follow the traces of elemental energy!

Neptune: Alright! Elemental sight!

So they use their elemental sight and follow the traces of Hydro energy on the trail.

Patrick: (It's obviously the Fatui. I recognize that symbol anywhere.)

Kiana: (They don't seem to instantly recognize that that's the symbol of the Fatui.)

Kaedehara Kazuha: We're close. Watch out.

They went around a corner and saw a Fatui legionnaire.

Paimon: It's the Fatui!

They hid behind the rocks.

Patrick: Just as we suspected.

Neptune: Let's go!

Neptune draws her greatsword and charges in.

Kiana: There she goes again.

The Fatui legionnaire notices her and attacks her with Hydro but Neptune dodges then covers her sword with Electro then slashes the Fatui legionnaire. Vert follows up with her rapier by doing an Anemo attack like Jean. The others come in and finish Fatui legionnaire with attacks. Kiana traps him with ice.

Paimon: Why are there Fatui on this island! Isn't there a single place in this world without Mint, Sweet Flowers, and Fatui?

Patrick: Not really.

Kiana: They're everywhere.

Aether: They get everywhere, like weeds...

Paimon: Interesting observation.

Strange Soldier: *sob* Cappy-cap's gone... where's cappy-cap...

Kaedehara Kazuha: Are you looking for something?

Strange Soldier: A cap... I c—can't... can't lose it... Ah! I don't know anything... Gimme back cappy-cap... *sob*

Kiana: Are Fatui that emotional?!

Kazuha: They're human just like us. Yes.

Nepgear: Scums like him can't be emotional.

Strange Soldier: I have feelings too you know! *sob*

Kazuha brings out the cap.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Is this the cap you're looking for?

Strange Soldier: My brother's cappy-cap! Gimme, gimme, gimme!

They return the cap to the Fatuus.

Neptune: Let her go, Kiana. I don't think he wants to hurt us.

Vert: Do it.

Kiana: Fine.

Kiana releases the Fatui Soldier.

Paimon: Uh, this guy is not the sharpest sword in the sheath...

Strange Soldier: Don't bully me! Or I'll punch you in the... Aah! Monster, monster! *sob*

???: Stop right there! What are you doing here?

A man comes out.

Neptune: That's our line!

Paimon: Another Fatuus! We could ask you the same question! What are YOU doing here, hmm!?

Strange Soldier: Protect... cappy-cap... or brother will get mad at me...

Persikov: Forget the cap! It's your brother we're looking for!

Kaedehara Kazuha: What happened to him?

Persikov: ...Nothing. He has a fever... he's just a little delirious, that's all. I don't have to tell you anything. Go bother someone else.

Paimon: This island belongs to our friend! You better watch what you say, mister.

Neptune: YEAH you're the one who should get lost! Not us!

Persikov: What? I thought this island was uninhabited. That's why we came here to... Ahem, never mind.

Aether: What's that machine for?

Persikov: ...Tsk, fine. I'll tell you, but then you need to leave me alone.

Vert: Fair enough.

Persikov: It's a new kind of energy generator that I invented. We were simply looking for a deserted island to test it out on. There, satisfied?

Kiana: Kind of.

Aether:Like we told you, this island is ours. Do not impede our vacationing.

Paimon: Yeah, and if you don't do as your told, we'll... Oh, we'll take his cap!

Neptune: That's right! We'll take his cap!

Strange Soldier: Ah! Please don't... *sob*

Persikov: Hey, stop crying! ...Alright, I promise, we'll stay within this area. Okay!?

Patrick: Fine!

Paimon: Uh, by the way, why is there smoke coming out of your machine?

Persikov: Because the cursed thing is broken! As much as I hate to say it, our tests did not go to plan. We were getting ready to leave anyway.

Paimon: Oh, well just see yourselves out whenever you're ready. Bye.

Persikov: Come on! Let's go!

Strange Soldier: O—Okay...

The Fatui leave.

Paimon: Paimon can't believe we have to deal with the Fatui during our vacation...

Kiana: We've already had enough of them and their diplomatic immunity and covering up all traces of crimes they commit!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Why would the Fatui appear in such an isolated corner of the world... Whatever their reasons, it's likely more complicated than we might think. Even though we're on vacation, we should stay vigilant.

Aether: I agree.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Also, in the interests of keeping the ladies in good spirits, I have a suggestion.

Patrick: What is it?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Let's keep this between us for now. Let them enjoy their vacation while We deal with any potential threats. What do you think?

Aether: Makes sense. I'm in.

Neptune: Which ladies?

Kiana: Fischl, Mona, and Xinyan. The others can know.

Paimon: You're so considerate, Kazuha.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Paimon, you flatter me. I simply don't think it's worth ruining anyone's vacation over a trivial matter like this. The scenery is beautiful... I hope all of us can enjoy ourselves here.

Vert: I hope so too.

Neptune: But now we better return to camp.

Nepgear: We better.

Returning to the camp, they find that everyone has come back.

Paimon: We're back!

Mona: Just in time! So, who do you think the real swimming champion is? Me or Fischl?

Fischl: Haha! Utter my supreme name, and see how Lady Megistus the presumptuous is reduced to bitter tears!

Kiana: What happened?

Noire: They kept racing but we didn't see who won.

Aether: Uh, I'll go with whoever Paimon says is the winner.

Paimon: Oh no you don't! Don't put this on Paimon!

Oz: Oh wise Paimon, surely you can discern who the true winner is.

Fischl: Lady Paimon, the time to show your loyalty is nigh.

Xinyan: Wait, wait wait wait! Shouldn't Paimon get some food in her first? Poor thing looks starvin' after such a long trek out!

Paimon: Ohh! Thank you, Xinyan!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Yes, we did walk quite a long way.

Vert: We did.

Xinyan: Right? While you were off doing your own things, I caught us some seafood and picked us a few fruits. They taste real good barbecued!

Mona: Now that you mention it, I'm getting a little peckish myself...

Fischl: Ahem! I, too...

Neptune: We'll vote who won later.

Noire: That's right. We'll vote later.

Xinyan: Well there's plenty to go around, so dig in! I can't say I've got the culinary skills of my chef friend, but I promise you'll at least eat your fill!

Mei: I helped too.

Theresa: So did Himeko and I.

Himeko: Fishing and getting crabs was fun.

Paimon: Ooh! Time to eat!

Oz: Inviting Lady Xinyan here was an astute decision indeed.

Paimon: Paimon's done talking, you guys carry on if you wanna go hungry!

(Later)

They had their fill of food.

Mona: Ah, I love that barbecue smell... This tastes amazing.

Fischl: Mmm! Impressive!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Since Xinyan, Mei, Theresa, and Himeko made dinner for us, allow me to take charge of breakfast tomorrow.

Vert: Allow me to help too.

Fu Hua: And me.

Aether: Great! Looking forward to it already!

Paimon: Paimon too!

Paimon: Oh, Traveler, Valkyries, you forgot about something!

Kiana: Oh yeah. We forgot about something.

Paimon: Uh, let's talk over there.

Paimon and Aether go to the top of the hill with only Patrick, The Valkyries, CPUs, CPU Candidates, and Servants. The ones who went with Kazuha filled everyone in and they were shocked.

Paimon: That whole thing with the Fatui is bothering you, too, right? Well, remember the bomb thing that Venti gave us? We can contact him using that.

Himeko: That will work.

Rom: Won't that blow up.

Paimon: Wait, no, not a bomb. Venti said it's called a "Dodocommunication Device"!

Rom: Oh...

Paimon: Yeah, let's ask Venti if he knows anything. He always seems clued-in on everything, so if there's any intel floating around, he'll definitely know about it!

So they bring out the communication device and call Venti.

Dodocommunication Device: Dodo! Dodo! Dodoco!

Venti: Achoo! Ugh...

Kiana: He sneezed because of a cat again.

Venti: Heya! Miss me already, guys?

Aether: Hi Venti, it's us.

Venti: Haha, I know that. You're the only people who can contact me on this thing.

Seele: We know.

Bronya: Yes.

Paimon: How come you're sneezing?

Kiana: It's obvious why.

Venti: I'm at The Cat's Tail... so many cats... They gave me some allergy medicine, but it's not working... Achoo!

Noire: Some god you. Having cat allergies.

Kiana: Look, just because he's a god, doesn't mean he can't have allergies too. Even you can have allergies too, for a goddess.

Noire: I've never had allergies before!

Venti: Okay, go on then, what are you calling about?

Aether: Paimon, tell him.

Paimon: Could you be any lazier!

Kiana: Just do it. He's not gonna budge.

Paimon: Alright, well Venti, there's some strange things going on on this island... We ran into the Fatui!

Neptune and Nepgear: The Fatui!

Venti: The Fatui... yeah, they're everywhere, aren't they?

Mei: Yes.. well... except in Inazuma because we revoked their diplomatic immunity there and made them fugatives.

Venti: Ahaha, the Cryo Archon's minions are a capable crew. I'd be more surprised if they hadn't shown up yet.

Paimon: But they're ruining our vacation!

Aether: Exactly.

Vert: And we want them gone. Ladies can't stand interruptions on their vacations.

Venti: Really? But... you sound fine, they can't have caused you too much trouble, surely? Or if they did, I'm sure you have everything under control by now.

Patrick: Well they haven't done anything dastardly yet like steal another Gnosis, start another war, or kill anyone.

Paimon: Yeah, but something just doesn't feel right, that's why we came to you... Don't you have any information for us?

Venti: I haven't heard anything new about the Fatui. But don't worry. I may be a lowly tone-deaf bard, but you may contact me whenever you need me.

Jeanne: Thank you, Venti.

Venti: I mean, I can't promise I'll be of much help, but at least you'll have someone to talk to, right? Sometimes, just talking things through is enough to calm a worried mind.

Paimon: Ugh! Honestly...

Venti: Adventuring is what you do best. It's only natural to encounter a few surprises when you head somewhere new, but just remember, not all unexpected encounters are dangerous. The same wind graces the seaside as that which wafts over pastures green. Wherever you see clouds, it was the wind that carried them there. Don't worry, my friends, the wind will always be with you.

Aether: Alright.

Venti: Okay then, I have to go now — my performance in the Cat's Tail is starting any second!

Venti sneezes again.

Paimon: Okay, bye!

They hang up.

Paimon: So he means we don't need to worry too much about the Fatui, right?

Aether: Yeah, I think so.

Patrick: I don't know. They just can't be taken lightly. But maybe just this one time we'll let some of our guard down.

Bronya: Agreed.

Blanc: Agreed.

Paimon: Well, if that's what the Tone-Deaf Bard says... then fingers crossed we'll have a peaceful and relaxing vacation where nothing weird happens at all.

Paimon: When you go off on a long trip with your friends, the important thing is to have fun!

Everyone: Yeah!

(Night)

Most of everyone was asleep except for the Valkyries, Patrick, the CPUs, and the CPU Candidates. They were stargazing with a campfire lit. They were looking at their constellations.

Neptune: What are your constellations again? Patrick came up with constellations for you. So what are they again?

Seele: Mine is Gemini Papilio. It's two twin butterflies. I was given it because of how I have two personalities. And how I'm related to butterflies.

Fu Hua: Phoenix, because I have the spirit of the Phoenix in me.

Theresa: Andromeda Lepus. Because of how I use chains from my Oath of Judah. And I love HOMU.

Mei: I have the same constellation as Ei. And Sakura has the same constellation as Miko. Vulpus.

Bronya: Lupus Lepus. Because the Bronya was named the silver wolf and loves HOMU.

Kiana: Orion constellation. Though I don't have a proper name yet.

Patrick: Dragon constellation. Though my birth constellation was Capricorn.

Himeko: I would probably have the same constellation as the Pyro Archon.

Seele: Liliya and Rozaliya have their own version of Gemini calling it Gemina.

Neptune: Since my HDD ninja outfit had butterfly wings, I would probably also have a butterfly constellation.

Nepgear: I think that we should be getting some sleep now.

Noire: We still have to help Fischl.

Kiana: And there might be some answers we need tomorrow.

After saying good night, they all fell asleep together.

(Next Day)

Still half-asleep, Aether can make out the sound of people talking. Then, he is greeted by the voice of a panicked Paimon trying to stay calm...

Paimon: ...Up! Wake up! Aether, wake up!

Aether: (I don't want to... But I can't leave Paimon unattended.)

Aether woke up to see Paimon, the Valkyries, Patrick, the CPUs, and CPU Candidates. However, The CPUs and CPU Candidates had changed into their ninja outfits. Bronya was in her Arc City Blues skin and Theresa was in her Twilight Paladin Battlesuit. And Fu Hua was wearing her Taixuan Impression skin.

Paimon: Oh, thank goodness you're awake!

Theresa: Some of us felt like we had to change outfits so don't be surprised.

Neptune: Yeah! Don't be surprised! We just wanted to change our fighting styles!

Kiana: The servants left back into the teapot.

Paimon: Uh, Paimon has good news and bad news. Which one do you wanna hear first?

Aether:

...

Paimon: Aaah! Okay, okay, Paimon's sorry! Wake up, something's happened!

Aether: Go on, I'm listening.

Paimon: Okay, uh, bad news first. The bad news is... something weird's going on with this island.

Paimon: And the good news is, is... it seems like it has nothing to do with what we came across yesterday. Today, is a different issue entirely.

Aether: And what might that be?

Kiana: It's... uhh... well...

???: Ah, look, he's awake!

???: Careful not to frighten him/her. He's probably just like the others. Ah, humans... such delicate little things.

Bronya: This is what's been happening. So many voices are talking.

???: How're ya doing, mate? Feeling a little fragile?

Paimon: So as you can see, the boat can talk, heh.

Aether: I might just go back to sleep for a bit...

Paimon: No, avoidance isn't gonna solve anything!

Fu Hua: You're not dreaming. Random things and creatures have been talking.

Squirrel: Poor soul, imagine being scared of talking squirrels and boats!

Fantastic Boat: Haha, well, we can't blame him. After all, humans aren't quite accustomed to hearing things like us talk.

Himeko: As you can see. The boat has become sentient and can talk just like the squirrel.

Paimon: Wait... have you guys always been able to talk?

Squirrel: Of course! Otherwise, how would we communicate with others of our kind?

Paimon: So in other words... we suddenly gained the ability to understand you? How strange...

Bronya: In logic, the squirrel is talking in human language but thinks we're talking in his kind's language and we believe that the squirrel is talking in our language.

Squirrel: Maybe you've gained some intelligence. Congratulations.

Mona: So, you're finally awake, Aether? Time to rise and shine!

Paimon: You're back!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Yes, we went for a little walk. The enchanting scenery and pleasant weather here soothes the body and mind.

Oz: Everything is fine, except that some places are a little peculiar...

Fischl: Hohoho! The servants of darkness have descended. Rejoice, for the return of the Immernachtreich is nigh!

Oz: Mein Fräulein means that this is an unexpected development, and she has never seen anything like this before.

Paimon: No, that's not even close to what she said!

Oz: My apologies. Please take that as my own opinion.

Aether: What happened?

Kaedehara Kazuha: After last night, there have been some... unusual spectacles on this island.

Rom: Weird things have been happening.

Mona: Yes. Swimming birds, flying squirrels, the sun and moon in the sky together... Some of these sights only lasted for a moment, but that doesn't make it any less bizarre.

Xinyan: I heard a strange flapping sound on the island, but didn't see a single flying creature around.

Kaedehara Kazuha: There was also a peculiar floral scent on the wind. Though there are many flowers on this island, that scent did not resemble any of them.

Seele: When we were sleeping, we woke up to the sounds of random things. It was happening so fast.

Xinyan: Seems to me like whatever these things are, they aren't visible to the naked eye...

Mona: I tried to perform a divination, but my scryglass showed only a chaotic mess that was impossible to decipher.

Paimon: Oh, Paimon has a bad feeling about this... What have we gotten ourselves into...

Fischl: Hmm... I had resolved to summon the Immernachtreich in this land, but now we observe these puzzling phenomena... Could this be the spawn of the condemned, trying to thwart my sacred endeavor?

Paimon: Wait, Aether... you don't think Alice could be behind all this, do you?

Aether: ...

Theresa: Impossible. She's already made us go through with the Dodo-King madness. There's no way she would do something this bad. I mean she's not a bad person. There's just no way she would do something evil.

Aether: It's not impossible.

Paimon: But if it really was her, it wouldn't make sense to do all this...

Squirrel: Hahaha, look at them, old chap, seems we scared the pants off them!

Fantastic Boat: Aye, well, they've never seen anything like this before. This old boat's sailed all over the briney seas in its time, and tried talking to many a sailor, too. But in all that time, not a single person has ever spoken back.

Squirrel: Exactly. If it weren't for this environment, who would've thought humans would be able to chat with us?

Paimon: This environment? What do you mean by that?

Mona: The environment... Could it be that... the environment is what's interfering with my divinations?

Aether: Feels like... I might be still dreaming.

Paimon: Uh... even if you were...

Paimon: Dreams aren't supposed to become reality, right?

Patrick: Maybe. There's a thing called Lucid Dreams that make you believe its reality and in full control.

Paimon: And a dream won't make you suddenly understand boats and squirrels... Aah!

Xinyan: What's wrong?

Paimon: Look! Over there!

The sky turns dark and purple. The Herrschers, Seele, CPUs, and CPU Candidates transformed ready to fight. Paimon gasps and points to something. A ruined tower flickers in and out on an isle. As lightning flashes across the sky, a castle does the same on Twinning Isle.

White Sister (Rom): What is going on?!

White Sister (Ram): How should we know?!

Red maple trees appear on Pudding Isle. Kazuha holds out his hand to catch a maple leaf, but it passes through his hand and fades away. The weather returns to normal.

Kaedehara Kazuha: An illusion? No... it felt too real to be an illusion.

Mona: Those things we saw flickering in and out, that's exactly what I saw earlier this morning!

Fischl: Does this mean... the Immernachtreich... is real?

Xinyan: Wait, what?

Kiana: Immernachtreich?

Fischl: Ahem! Hehe! Behold, the Immernachteich has come, just as your Prinzessin had prophesied! Come, my people, a new chapter awaits us!

Oz: Indeed, mein Fräulein. We all have witnessed this miracle with our own eyes, and now is the time to celebrate the creation of a new world! Rejoice!

Fischl: Hahahaha, welcome to the Immernachtreich!

Theresa: Now she's happy.

Paimon: She looks so happy, Paimon doesn't have the heart to interrupt her right now...

Purple Heart: We might as well let her be happy and not spoil her fun.

Mona: She doesn't seem surprised in the slightest. Does that just come with being an experienced adventurer, or...?

Kaedehara Kazuha: If this isn't an illusion, we ought to go and investigate.

Xinyan: I got an idea. If you hurt yourself in a dream, you wake up right away, don't ya?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Hmm? Yes, you have a point.

Xinyan: Right? So c'mon, Kazuha, hit me.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Uh... I'd rather not... How about you hit me instead?

Xinyan: But that'll hurt real bad.

Paimon: Hey! There'll be no need for any of that! Just leave it to us! Hey Traveler, can Paimon hit you?

Aether: What are you talking about?

Mei: It would probably be... not a good idea.

Fantastic Boat: Haha, I like yer senses o' humor, me hearties. An illusion? So, talking boats and squirrels are just an illusion to humans, huh.

Patrick: Yes.

Squirrel: Now, now, it's understandable, old chap. Haven't you heard? As humans grow older, they forget many important things and lose many of their abilities.

Fantastic Boat: Aye, so they do... A pity, to be sure. Thinking back, in all those years I spent sailing with the fleet, I would've never imagined that one day I'd be laughing over something like this. Well then, me lads and lasses, don't you want to take a wee gander at all the places you're so curious about?

Paimon: Of course! But how do we get there?

Fantastic Boat: Look! Here!

Mona: At what?

Fantastic Boat: Blimey, at me, of course! Oh, that's right, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm the smartest ship you'll find in all these parts! The name's... argh, just call me whatever takes yer fancy.

Paimon: Don't you have a name?

Fantastic Boat: That I do, I just can't remember it. All I know is that I came here from Inazuma.

Paimon: In that case, Paimon shall name you... "Miitoboru"! How's that? All the other ships in Inazuma seem to have names ending in "ru," too.

Mei: Ok...

Fantastic Boat: Miitoboru? Haha, that'll do nicely.

Miitoboru: You're lucky to have met me. I can sail through the choppiest seas with ease, there isn't a wave out there that can capsize me! So... Come aboard, and I'll take you wherever you'd like to go!

Squirrel: Ah, how very kind of you, old chap. Unlike that Anemo Archon who abandoned us here.

Aether: The Anemo Archon?

Squirrel: You know, the Anemo Archon of Mondstadt. Don't you know? Some of these islands used to be Mondstadt's mountaintops. Once upon a time, the Anemo Archon sliced them off to neaten the place up, and chucked them into the ocean.

Squirrel: My great-great-great-great-great-great... great grandfather was on one of the mountaintops, and got sent flying here along with it. Wretched Anemo Archon!

Paimon: How could that happen!

Squirrel: And we've been living here for generations since then, haha. Fortunately, there were a few other squirrel families that got stranded on these islands as well, so we built ourselves a kingdom here.

Bronya: Barbatos can't possibly do that.

Squirrel: The good thing is that there are no predators or competitors around. All the pinecones on this island are ours for the taking. The bad thing is... we're stuck here.

Paimon: Didn't see that coming... Sounds like the Immernachtreich is a kingdom of squirrels!

Fischl: Hold thy tongue!

Oz: Paimon, please do not make such slanderous statements. The Immernachtreich is, of course, a kingdom of night ravens.

Miitoboru: Hey, lad, yes, you! You're from Inazuma, aye? That makes us brothers, haha. Every young lad of Inazuma has to pluck up the courage to set sail on an adventure one day! So, are you coming?

Kaedehara Kazuha: ... To set sail... is to leave one's homeland and travel far away.

Miitoboru: Aye, you need lots of courage and just a dash of heartlessness. 'Cause once you leave, you may never return. But if you stay, you're forever a prisoner in your own heart.

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...Huh. Inspiring words, Miitoboru. And you're right. The wanderer's spirit runs in my blood. I'll go with you.

The boat turned his attention to Mei.

Miitoboru: And you. You're from Inazuma too aren't you?

Mei: Kind of. I'm not exactly from Inazuma. Also, I look exactly like the Electro Archon.

Mei flashed in a purple light and changed into Ei's clothing.

Miitoboru: Yargh! You look exactly like the Raiden Shogun!

Mei: I know.

Purple Heart: We're not from Inazuma either. We're from a place called Gamindustri where we rule over 4 nations. I rule a nation called Planeptune!

Black Heart: I rule over a nation named Lastation.

White Heart: I rule over Lowee.

Green Heart: And I rule Leanbox.

Kaedehara Kazuha: My friends, are you coming too? I want to take a look at the strange phenomena on that island.

Seele: I guess we could.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Also, I smell ancient timber and waterproof varnish on this boat... The scent is indeed from Inazuma, so I believe he speaks the truth.

Mona: Hmm... what does everyone think?

Fischl: Oz, lay down the gangplank! Thy Prinzessin shall take to the seas!

Xinyan: Let's all go! It'll definitely be an experience.

Purple Heart: We'll go.

Miitoboru: Haha, great! Aaand we're off!

Squirrel: Safe travels!

The Herrschers, Seele, CPUs, and CPU Candidates fly up while the others board Miitoboru the waverider.

Miitoboru: Good going, lads and lassies! Miitoboru admiers your bravery. How long have you been here? Oh, it's not your first time? Haha, well I never.

Miitoboru gets going and follows after the flyers.

Bronya: We've seen talking Vehicles before.

Patrick: Like KITT from "Knight Rider". Herbie the Love Bug. Lightning McQueen.

Purple Heart: There was that one time when the 4 of us were turned into motorcycles.

Kiana: And vehicles that transform into robots.

They talked till they were approaching the small island.

Miitoboru: We're almost there! Please take all yer personal belongings with ye, and mind your step as you disembark!

Paimon: Look! There's something over there!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Wow, it's... Let's take a closer look.

The flyers touched down while the others got off Miitoboru. It was a Bonsai Pot.

Kaedehara Kazuha: ... Well, I certainly didn't expect to see you here.

Xinyan: This is a bonsai pot, right? It's nice, but it looks like it's been a little neglected.

Green Heart: It looks like it's been here for a really long time.

Kaedehara Kazuha: This bonsai... was in my family for many generations. I saw it once in a Tenryou Commission warehouse, but it looked quite different from how it does now. At that time, there was a withered tree inside.

Mona: Why would someone keep the plant in there if it's dead?

Kaedehara Kazuha: It's a way of sending a secret message. It indicated that there was something hidden inside the flowerpot. There was a letter buried down at the bottom, which told of an ancient secret in my clan. I did not take the bonsai with me after reading the letter, which means it should still be in the warehouse now. I wonder who removed the plant and placed the pot here...

Xinyan: So the bonsai pot belonged to your ancestors? Seems a shame to leave it empty like this.

Mei: Doesn't explain how it got here though.

Xinyan: Hmm, Kazuha, what do you think about maybe putting a little something inside it?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Alright. Though I still don't understand why it has appeared here, I can give that a try.

Paimon: Eek!

A domain transition occurs.

Paimon: Paimon knew it wasn't gonna be that simple.

Aether: Where's Kazuha?

Paimon: Huh? Oh yeah... everyone's here... except for Kazuha!

Xinyan: Kazuha! Where are you? Are you okay?

Purple Heart: KAZUHA!

Paimon: No response. Well, let's keep an eye out for him.

Mona: Look at the decor here... it's like the inside of a grand mansion. I don't think this is a perilous maze — it's somebody's home.

Fischl: Most curious. What secrets lie within this place, I shall surely uncover.

Theresa: Right...

Everyone investigates the area. Aether and Paimon find an Elegantly-Written Note.

Elegantly-Written Note: "When I was flipping through some old books today, I found my father's old notes.

I read them, of course. He wouldn't mind. As I expected, most of the content concerned forging techniques as well as tricks on how to handle certain ores.

The tail end featured a number of hand-drawn drafts, mostly bonsai designs. Well, I suppose this love for them does count as a clan tradition.

My son turns six this year. His name is "Kazuha," just as my wife wished.

...

His coming and her going were not far apart. To think that it has been six years since then... If she were still here, she would surely be helping my father in the yard.

My father lived well in his younger years, and that lifestyle has greatly deteriorated in his latter ones. It fills me with shame to admit that ::I am unable to improve these circumstances.

He says that it is not important, however, and that it is instead we who are young who are the key."

Paimon: It looks like this letter was written by Kazuha's father. So keeping bonsai plants really does run in the family. Hmm... But the fact that we're even here and could see his father's notes... It just seems so unbelievable.

Mei: Kazuha has been through a lot. He was a fugitive for going against dare I say it... the Vision Hunt Decree.

Purple Heart pulls a switch then the door closes then opens up to reveal a corridor which they go through then end up in another room where they find a letter.

A Letter:

"To My Dear Father, Kaedehara Kageharu:

Ever since the official dissolution of our house, I have packed my bags and left our ancestral home, wandering the world, and I have learned much on this journey.

Today, I was reminded of the many scenic artworks you drew in your notes as I passed some seaside cliffs by. The sight gave me much to think about.

A wanderer's leisure is not the tradition of our clan, but the appreciation of scenery surely counts. I believe it was Great Grandfather who started that particular practice.

You mentioned that he enjoyed planting small trees, loving their supple branches, while Grandfather was of a different temperament, enjoying fiddling with stones more.

When I was young, our backyard was full of the many curious stones that Grandfather collected. Back then, I thought the ground was littered with treasure, but now that I know much more of the world, I can be quite certain that at least some of them were sword-testing stones that Grandfather brought back from the forging station.

I knew precious little about stones then, believing them all to be of great value.

But can there really be so much treasure in life?

...I am writing this letter as I rest in a shady spot on a hilltop.

I intend to burn this letter shortly, before using the water from a mountain stream to quench the remnant embers. This way, I believe that this message will reach you, though you can no longer receive letters.

I dismissed the servants after your passing and settled our various assets. It isn't worth much, but it's enough to live on.

I fear that our bonsais may not have fared as well as I hoped. I sold what I could get my hands on to pay our debts, save for Great Grandfather's old relic.

It was confiscated by the Tenryou Commission... That said, I suspect that staying in their storehouse may have been a better fate for it than remaining in my hands.

I have not been here in a long while. The wind whistling through the mountains is just as lovely as it was when you first brought me here, many years ago.

I'm setting off again.

Farewell.

Kaedehara Kazuha"

Xinyan: Looks like a letter Kazuha wrote while he was traveling.

Mei: So he left his family.

Mona: What a sad letter...

Green Heart: Very sad.

Fischl: ...Lord Kazuha...

Theresa: He's been through a lot alright.

They used the mechanism and went to more rooms. Then ended up in a courtyard and had to go up stairs where they listened to a Elio if Omamoris they had to use to unlock a door at the top.

Kaedehara Hisamichi: The flesh resides in society, while the heart yearns for the natural world... Such has been the way of the Kaedeharas for many generations. Kazuha, the future of this clan will one day be in your hands. When that time comes, remember to always stay true to yourself.

Xinyan: I heard an old man say something about the "Kaedeharas"...

Mona: Sounds like it might be Kazuha's grandfather.

Mei: If only Sakura was here. She would probably have more insight on Kazuha's past.

They listened to the second Melodic Omamori.

Kaedehara Hisamichi: Listen carefully, Kazuha. A Kaedehara blade is not forged for the purpose of harming people.

Then to the third Melodic Omamori.

Kaedehara Kageharu: Father, what are you carving?

Kaedehara Hisamichi: Haha, it's a rock garden. I'm modeling it after the scenery I saw on my travels abroad. It'll go in my bonsai later. Work has been so busy these years, I've barely had a moment to spend with my grandson. I hope he doesn't take after me... when he's older, he should get out there and see more of the world.

Oz: I believe the other voice belongs to Lord Kazuha's father.

Fischl: Oh? I see... We have ventured into Lord Kazuha's memory.

Black Heart: Into his memory? That means we're looking at his memories without permission!

Fischl: Relax lady Noire. He probably won't mind. Now let's go.

They get all the way up to the top where the door opens and Kazuha was there in a room.

Xinyan: Oh there you are!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Huh? Where did you all go?

Paimon: This place is a maze! We all got trapped inside, except for you.

Purple Heart: The puzzles were fun though. And so was getting through the maze.

Green Heart: Just like any dungeons with puzzles we've been to.

Bronya: Yes. Solving puzzles.

Kiana: And getting through mazes.

Kaedehara Kazuha: I've been stuck in this room the whole time, and can't seem to find a way out. I have to say, this place looks a lot like my childhood bedroom.

Paimon: If this is your home, why would you be trapped here? Is the maze trying to keep you out?

They tell Kazuha about everything that just happened...

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...

Black Heart: I hope you're not angry with us peeking at your memories.

Kaedehara Kazuha: It appears that this whole maze is modeled after my family home. And all the conversations you heard in there are in fact words once spoken by my father and grandfather. You said that the maze is trying to keep me out... Indeed, I'm the only one unable to explore this place.

Mona: I think these unusual structures are some kind of mirage. According to what Kazuha said, all this seems to be constructed based on Kazuha's memory.

Fischl: But why should Lord Kazuha be the only one excluded?

White Heart: They're his memories and he should have the rights to do what he wants.

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...Maybe that comes from me, too. To me, what is past is gone. Everything in the world is guided by its own rules, and as for people...we can never relive the past. I think that this belief is the reason why the mirage was keeping me out.

Xinyan: I can get behind that. It's a very sensible way of looking at things.

Kaedehara Kazuha: All our thoughts have consequences. I don't consider it strange, and I don't think it's anything you should be worried about. Hmm... we got in here by touching the bonsai, didn't we? So perhaps if we touch it again...

Purple Sister and Black Sister: We'll be out!

Kazuha touched the bonsai again then everything flashed. A domain transition occurred.

Paimon: We're back!

However when they got out, things have changed.

Xinyan: Hey, look, that whole mountain's changed completely.

Kaedehara Kazuha: ... Wait. ...

Mei: What is it Kazuha?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Everyone, I might have an explanation. The changes in the mirage could be related to the bonsai. My father once mentioned that this pot was originally part of a collection belonging to my great-grandfather. He adored his bonsai and always took great care of them. When our family fell upon hard times, my grandfather traveled far and wide, looking for a way to save the clan. However, during that time, my great-grandfather became gravely ill. He knew my grandfather had no interest in bonsai, so before his death, he gave most of his carefully crafted bonsai away. This is the only one he retained.

Paimon: To hide the letter with that secret in, right?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Yes, and to give his son something to remember him by. My grandfather returned as quickly as he could, but my great-grandfather had already passed away. They never got the chance to say goodbye to each other before the end. After that, my grandfather would spend long periods of time standing in front of this bonsai, lost in thought. Eventually, he started to make his own bonsai. Unlike his father, he preferred arranging rock gardens instead of plants. Perhaps influenced by my grandfather, my father also took a liking to crafting bonsai. Back then, our courtyard was filled with all kinds of them.

Mei: (I wonder if Kazuha every told Sakura how his family loved bonsai.

Kaedehara Kazuha: And this flowerpot was passed down to me as a family treasure. It's certainly no coincidence that it appeared here and became the entrance to the mirage. It's almost as if... it's giving me a chance to make up for past regrets.

Aether: Regrets about what?

Kaedehara Kazuha: There was once a time when the Kaedeharas were an illustrious clan in Inazuma. After the Raiden Gokaden incident, our clan's fortunes took a turn for the worse. By the time of my generation, our downfall was complete. Later, I fled Inazuma as I didn't want be arrested. With no one left in the Kaedehara Clan, the authorities confiscated everything in our home, including this bonsai.

Mei: How terrible. Being turned into a wanted fugitive.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Like my ancestors before me, I think I'd like to try it out for myself... recreate a favorite scene from my travels and place it into this pot.

Mona: ... *sigh*

Kaedehara Kazuha: Since the contents of this bonsai affect the mirage, I'd at least like to try my hand at making something.

Kaedehara Kazuha: But what style? Should I use plants for the bonsai like my great-grandfather, or rocks like my father and grandfather... Perhaps ... a rock garden would suit me better.

Paimon: So do you need any supplies to make this bonsai?

Seele: You could always use help from us.

Kaedehara Kazuha: I think I'll need a set of tools and some rocks that can be carved and made into decorations.

Paimon: Got it, we'll help you look!

Xinyan: We might just get lucky. If the pot's here, then surely other stuff related to crafting bonsai can't be far away.

Fischl: I concur! Lord Kazuha, take heart in your search, for my retinue and I shall help you retrieve your missing treasures.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Thank you, everyone.

First they go up the high mountain on the other island where they find the Rock Garden Rough Stone (Left) and the Rock Garden Carving Tools. Then they return back and place the stuff on the bonsai then they get teleported into the domain again.

Paimon: Wow, it's a new place!

Oz: As was the case last time, only Lord Kazuha is missing.

Patrick and Kiana: Again.

Xinyan: Don't worry, leave it to us!

So they went through the domain getting through puzzles then end up back where they started in the courtyard. However, they saw two shadows. One of them was Kazuha.

Kaedehara Kageharu: ...This will do. Ah, Kazuha, you've come just at the right moment. What do you think of this rock carving?

Kaedehara Kazuha: It's very intricate.

Kaedehara Kageharu: I based it on a mountain scene I saw in a book. You know, there are nations in this world where the mountains reach all the way up into the clouds. If only I had the chance to see them with my own eyes...

Kaedehara Kazuha: Father, you can go anywhere whenever you want.

Kaedehara Kageharu: That's not true. Though the Kaedehara Clan is far from what it used to be, I still bear all the same responsibilities as the clan heads before me. But then again... continuing in the way of our forefathers, sacrificing everything for our declining clan... is it really worth it?

Kaedehara Kazuha: But I... I don't understand.

Kaedehara Kageharu: ...Kazuha, there's one thing I want you to always remember. Family ties are important, but you ought to not let them hold you back. Family only exists because of the people in it. If we are unhappy, how can we hope to build a joyful one? The events of the past have had a profound impact on our family, but they are not your burden to carry. ...If you ever grow tired of this tedious life, just drop everything and go off on a journey, see the world. Remember, Kazuha, don't let yourself get tied down in life.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Yes, father.

Mei: It looks like Kazuha is talking to his father.

Himeko: Is that a memory fragment or Kazuha reliving a memory?

Black Heart: We better keep going.

They go another way and enter into the dojo. Then a visiting samurai appears.

???: I've heard a lot about you, Mr. Kaedehara. It's my honor to meet you today.

Kaedehara Hisamichi: It is Kazuha's honor to duel with a military man like yourself. Kazuha, get ready.

Aether goes up and takes on the Samurai then defeats it.

Green Heart: So Kazuha fought against someone from the Raiden Shogun's army.

Mei: He did.

They returned back to the courtyard then pulled the switch and entered into a new area.

They continued exploring the domain solving more puzzles then ending up at on area where they see the shadows of Kazuha and his father again behind a screen windows.

Kaedehara Kazuha: I'm sorry, but I just don't understand!

Kaedehara Kageharu: Kazuha, have you forgotten our promise?

Kaedehara Kazuha: You really want to give it all up? But... but even if we're having a rough time, you still have me by your side! Can't I be of any help? When you were my age, you were already helping grandfather out! Am I so incompetent that I'm a disappointment to you? Or...

Kaedehara Kageharu: Kazuha! *sigh* ...Now you're blaming yourself for all of this... That's why I have failed you as a father. The Kaedehara Clan has been paying the price for our past mistakes ever since your great-grandfather's generation. To this day, we have never fully recovered from it. Though we are a family of bladesmiths, you don't have to devote your life to the family craft. If a wounded animal wants to escape from a trap, it has to sacrifice the hind leg that was caught. You might think of this as a loss, but staying in the trap has far more deadly consequences. Enough now, Kazuha. As the head of the family, I failed to revitalize our clan. You never blamed me for not giving you the life promised to you by our heritage, and I'm grateful enough for that. All these generations of suffering... let's end them today. From now on, live your life with no burdens. Don't worry, I'll carry the blame for abandoning our family business.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Father, please don't... You should not be to blame for not upholding our family name. Even if that day comes, let me share the burden with you. Let's just wait and see. Sooner or later, I will have to lead the Kaedehara Clan. When the time comes, I'll deal with all our problems.

Mei: But he never did. He never got to lead the Khaedara clan. Because he was turned into a fugitive.

Kiana: The Fatui were to blame for the Vision Hunt Decree. Not the Electro Archon.

Fu Hua: Let's keep going.

They entered another dojo where a bunch of Nobushi appeared.

???: Hey, think you're tough enough to go against me? Ha, no response! What's wrong — you scared?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Did you really think it would be wise to pick a fight with the Kaedehara Clan?

Purple Heart: More enemies.

Kiana: Let's take 'em.

So they took them all out one by one. Then they go back to the area where they heard Kazuha and his father.

Kaedehara Kazuha: The Kaedehara Clan is no longer what it used to be...

Paimon: That's Kazuha's voice!

They returned back to the courtyard where they saw an image of Kazuha.

Purple Heart: Kazuha?

Paimon: But... why can't he hear us?

Paimon: Looks like it's just an illusion. This isn't the Kazuha who came here with us.

Purple Heart: Well we better enter into the last room.

They enter through the last door. But then everything turned black and white.

Purple Heart: HUH?! Why am I all black and white?!

Kiana: Everything is black and white!

And the camera couldn't rotate.

Black Heart: It must be another old memory. But in black and white.

Theresa: This is just like how films and photos were back in the old days. Being all black and white.

While going through the unknown space, they see more images of Kazuha.

Kazuha: Maybe if I were more adept in the sword arts, I'd be able to share my father's burdens...*sigh*

Purple Heart: Even the voices are in the old pitch as they were in old movies.

Purple Sister: All old.

Fischl: You talk weird.

Black Sister: That's just who they are.

Black Heart: Always talking nonsense.

Kazuha: This won't do... I'm getting distracted by family matters, and making too many mistakes.

Mei: I wish that Sakura was here.

Kazuha: "I yearn to hear the song of nightingale, my patient ears ready to attend. A veil of mist obscures the western skies, into its midst a silver moon descends."

Kiana: Maybe I should use my Void portals to bring her here and fill her in.

Kazuha: To know one is fighting a losing battle, and yet never once falter... This shall be my father's legacy.

They finally exited the unknown space and finally found the real Kazuha.

Paimon: Thought we might find you trapped here again.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Haha, yeah, it seems those are the rules.

Purple Heart: Going through that unknown space all black and white was crazy.

Paimon: We entered that maze in the mirage again, but the scene was different this time.

They tell Kazuha what they saw...

Kaedehara Kazuha: The mood was more deflated, and the place more humbly furnished... yes, that makes sense.

Purple Heart: And that final part was Black and White.

Kaedehara Kazuha: What you saw was the Kaedehara Clan in decline.

Paimon: We saw you in the mirage too, but you looked a little different than now.

Fischl: Indeed, I most certainly agree.

Black Heart: You were talking to your father.

Oz: Compared to the Lord Kazuha before us now, the mirage we saw appeared lost, with the burden of fate weighing heavily upon him.

Mona: I can confirm that. His fate was a heavy burden indeed.

Kaedehara Kazuha: That means I am older and wiser now. I am sorry you had to see my less mature former self. For a long time after leaving Inazuma, I've lived the life of a drifter. But this is no bad thing, because I learned much from the experience. I wish that I could've met my past self, too. If he saw me, I know that he would understand: Life is a long journey, and that's why I must travel far and wide.

A domain transition occurs again and they are back outside again.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Just as I thought, the bonsai is the key to entering the mirage.

Paimon: C'mon, let's continue looking for the rock garden.

Everyone: YEAH!

So they go back to Pudding Isle to search for more items they need. There were monsters in the way but they were able to kill them then get the Rock Garden Rough Stone (Right) and More Rock Garden Carving Tools. Then they returned back to the bonsai where they placed the rock into the bonsai. Then they entered back into the domain.

Paimon: What's happened here? Everything is broken...

Fischl: ...Alas, the loftier the clan, the more devastating the fall.

Mona: Broken into pieces, and not a single soul around... This must be the way things ended.

Mei: Poor Kazuha.

Xinyan: C'mon, let's get movin'.

White Heart: Right.

When they reach the second floating building, they hear voices.

Old Servant: Master, we're the only servants left! Are you sure about this? After we're gone, who's going to...

Kaedehara Kazuha: Don't worry, I'll be fine.

Old Servant: Your mother died early, and now that your father has left you... You're all that remains of this clan now... I suppose that this is the last time we will ever see each other. Master, please take care of yourself.

Sailor: Everyone, on board!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Farewell.

Black Heart: And this is where the Khaedara Clan ended and there was no one left but Kazuha.

Mei: This was before the Vision Hunt Decree.

When they reached the third floating building, they heard Kazuha's voice again.

Kaedehara Kazuha: The Kaedehara Clan has ultimately disbanded in my hands. But as my father said, I should not let life imprison me. Perhaps living the wanderer's life is what was meant for me after all.

The same thing happened again when they reached the fourth floating building.

Kaedehara Kazuha: You know, they say that Visions represent the Archons' gaze.

Friend: But is being under an Archon's gaze really a blessing?

Kaedehara Kazuha: I don't know, maybe...?

And when they reached the fifth floating building.

Shogunate Infantry: Vision Hunt Decree! Hand over your Visions now!

Friend: This way! Hurry!

Mei: And this is when Kazuha became a fugitive when the Fatui created the Vision Hunt Decree.

Kiana: And then joined Beidou's crew to avoid getting arrested.

After unlocking the door on the fifth floating building, they heard Kazuha's voice again.

Kaedehara Kazuha: I know very well why people resist against the Vision Hunt Decree. Ambition is our power in its rawest form. We cannot live without it.

And again when they inserted the Melodic Omamori into the shrine.

Kaedehara Kazuha: When no other option remains, I will leave.

A bridge appeared then they walked across it and encountered two Shogunate soldiers.

Shogunate Infantry The Almighty Shogun is holding a duel before the throne. Unauthorized personnel are strictly forbidden from coming near.

Shogunate Infantry Wait, the kid has a Vision!?

Shogunate Infantry Get him! Don't let him get away!

Mei: Shut up.

Mei summoned the Musou Ishin and used the Musou No Hitotachi on both of them killing them both.

They kept going to more floors, killing more soldiers. When they got to the last floor, there were a lot of Shogunate Infantry. So they got into formation and

After defeating all the Shogunate Infantry, they heard Kazuha again.

Kaedehara Kazuha: The life of a wanderer is full of hardships. I have asked myself these questions many times: Should I go? If so, where to, and by what means?

Bronya: Kazuha goes to Beidou and joins her crew and escapes from Inazuma.

Mei: That's right. Kazuha escapes from Inazuma thanks to Beidou.

Kaedehara Kazuha: A final farewell, for I do not believe I will ever return to Inazuma. But if one day, I do return... ...No. That day will never come.

Mei: Unfortunately he did. But thankfully it was to help us.

Kaedehara Kazuha: But I have no choice. The boundless world is calling out to me. Farewell, my dear grandfather and father.

They go further till they reach a boat.

Boatman: Kaedehara, that's you, right? Get on board, I'll get you out!

Kaedehara Kazuha: But... why are you helping me? I'm a wanted fugitive.

Boatman: Obviously the Yashiro— Ahem! An anonymous financial sponsor wants you to get out safely. But there's only so much they can do. After this, you'll be on your own.

Kaedehara Kazuha: My grandfather once traveled to Liyue, while my father read about Mondstadt... but where is the right place for me? ...The sky's getting dark. It looks like it's going to rain. Will the rain ever stop?

When they reached the next floating building, Shogunate Infantry apppeared.

Shogunate Infantry: Stop! I'm warning you, do not attempt to resist!

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...Oh, really?

Mei cuts one down then Green Heart slashes down another one. The rest used their attacks and killed more.

After defeating all the Shogunate Infantry, a huge ship was in their sight.

Sea Drake: Hey, buddy! You okay? Need a ride or something?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Heh, pirates?

Sea Drake: Hah, you could call us that! So, you coming or not?

They approach the huge ship which revealed to be the Alcor.

Paimon: Huh? It's the Alcor!

Xinyan: And look, Kazuha's over there.

So they ran faster.

Kiana: Kazuha!

Purple Heart: Kazuha!

Purple Sister: Kazuha!

Patrick: Kazuha!

Paimon: Kazuha! We found you!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Good timing. I was just reflecting on my life so far, and I think I'm all up to date.

Mei: It would have been better if Sakura was here.

???: Actually I am here.

Valkyries except Mei: HUH?!

Appearing from mana particles were Minamoto No Raikou, Tamamo No Mae, Yae Sakura, and Higokumaru.

Sakura: I saw everything.

Raikou: After leaving I thought of bringing Sakura here, so I asked Sirin to send me over to Inazuma then she brought us to the Achipeligo and couldn't find the right time to reveal ourselves. Until now.

Sakura: Now I know more about my old friend.

Higokumaru: A d saw what the memories were like.

Tamamo: Mikon! And learned a lot!

Kaedehara Kazuha: So, what do you think of the Kaedehara Clan's bonsai?

Aether: Looks like it carries lots of history.

Bronya and White Heart: Lots of history.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Old things often carry around some form of regret. The Kaedehara Clan is no exception. But that's okay. Partings produce reunions, if not at home then in a distant land.

Mei: Things weren't perfect, but you have nothing to feel ashamed of.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Indeed.

Mona: This mirage is quite fascinating. It presents life like a stage play, with each scene more captivating than the last.

Kaedehara Kazuha: They say that astrologists have seen it all. So if this mirage intrigued you, that says it was a worthwhile encounter.

Fischl: Ahem... How fares thy mood?

Oz: Mein Fräulein inquires as to your present wellbeing, Lord Kazuha, hoping your heart is not too filled with sorrow.

Paimon: There's no way anyone could be cheerful after reliving all that...

Kaedehara Kazuha: Haha, you have a point. Thank you all for your concern. Fortunately, all those things are past and gone now. When I first saw this bonsai, I thought of the possibility that... I needed to wait for you. Perhaps that was why I had to be here on my own.

Sakura: Maybe.

Kaedehara Kazuha: There was supposed to be a dead plant in that flowerpot. However, there was nothing there. ...While we were separated, I had a lot of time to reflect. I think I finally understand now. The mirage is... me. The empty flowerpot represents the state of my heart. When the heart is clear, the world is too. And when the heart is unladen, the same is true. Clear and unladen... that describes how I feel right now. Although, I would not say there are no regrets in this. To be unladen is also to be empty. That's why this bonsai appeared as part of my mirage. It gave me a chance to fulfill my wishes. I never realized that deep down in my heart, I also wanted to make my own bonsai... Perhaps this is what it really means to keep Kaedehara traditions alive.

Paimon: Have you finished doing what you wanted to do, Kazuha?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Yes, you could say that. You saw my past self and said goodbye to him. Only when you witness my whole story does it become truly consigned to history. What really matters in life is not how strict we are with ourselves, but the connections we make along the way. There's no future for those who linger on the past. So please believe me when I say that I've already come a long way, and I intend to go further still. I will always treasure your support.

Acutscene plays as Kazuha speaks.

I often travel during storms

Which means my eyes are often blinded by the rain

Many times, I couldn't even see what was right in front of me

One day, I finally reached the top of the mountain

I looked out with the clouds beneath my feet

And only the gentle breeze murmuring in my ears

The highest mountain is a clear and enlightened heart

Here, there is no self, no hatred, no regrets, and no desires

Let's embark on a journey, for I am the breeze

We will meet again, no matter how far along the road

Life has just begun, and maybe the whole world can be my home

After the Cutscene ended, they had returned back to camp. The ones transformed, changed back.

Paimon: *yawn*... It's been a long trip today, Paimon's getting kinda sleepy...

Neptune: Being in HDD form was really tiring as always.

Xinyan: Everyone must be exhausted. Let's call it a day.

Fischl: ...

Mona: Hmm? What's wrong? You don't look too good.

Noire: Something wrong Fischl?

Fischl: Nothing. Perhaps today's arduous journey is making me feel slightly out of sorts.

Oz: ...

Oz: Mein Fräulein, are you alright?

Fischl: Oz, curb thy curiosity.

Oz: Yes, mein Fräulein.

Mona: ...?

Neptune: Now now. Don't deny it. Something is definitely wrong with you~

Fischl blushes deep red.

Fischl: NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

Fischl shouted out loud without realizing it. And when she did, she turned away.

Fischl: Sorry. I should never have said that so loud.

Xinyan: I'll see if I can find something for us to eat. Go ahead and rest if you're feeling tired, but anyone who's up to it is welcome to help out.

Kaedehara Kazuha: I'll help.

Mona: Me too.

Mei: I'm helping too.

Vert: I'll make us tea.

Sakura: I'll make rice for onigiri.

Theresa: I'll get us some fish.

Seele: I'll help too.

Paimon: Everyone's volunteering to help! Maybe we should too!

Aether: Count us in.

Xinyan: Whoa, hey, I appreciate the enthusiasm, but... Her Highness looks kinda gloomy. Mona, you two seem close, why don't you keep her company for a while?

Mona: You noticed it too. I was going to bring it up with you while we were preparing the food. In that case, yes, just leave it to me.

Noire: Uni and I will stay too.

Uni: Yes we will.

Xinyan: Alright! We'll prepare the food!

Mona gives them a wink, then runs to stay with Fischl. Noire and Uni do the same thing. Everyone else collects cooking ingredients...

Xinyan: Yup, this should be enough. We can grill these. Next time we pass by one of those abandoned campsites, I'll see if they have a cooking pot. We'd have some more variety then.

Paimon: Wow, that's such a nice idea! You might not be a chef, Xinyan, but you sure do know how to keep the diners happy.

Xinyan: Aw shucks, Paimon. It's no big deal, just doing what I can!

Mei: Sure you do.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Even the crew mates of The Alcor consider Xinyan someone they can rely on.

Paimon: We feel the same way about you, too, Kazuha!

Xinyan: Hahaha, we sure do.

Fu Hua: If only Xiangling was here. To enjoy this moment.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Hmm... Well then, as a trusted friend, I have something I'd like to talk about.

Sakura: What is it?

Kaedehara Kazuha: From what you've been saying, that miraculous mirage seems to have been based on my life story to date. ...It felt just like a dream to me.

Aether: Maybe that's it. Maybe it represented your dreams.

Xinyan: In other words... you've always wanted to make your own bonsai, right?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Could that be it...? All that was a means of granting me something I wished for?

Sakura: Maybe.

Higokumaru: You never got the chance to do that before but now you did.

Kaedehara Kazuha: And since this happened to me, does that mean it could happen to everyone else, too?

Aether: Yes, I think so.

Xinyan: I agree. But I wonder whose mirage we'll encounter next? Hah, I'm actually kinda looking forward to my own mirage, if it's a dream come true like you say.

Paimon: Wait, you actually want something like this to happen with you, too?

Sakura: Wouldn't that be a bad thing?

Xinyan: Aw heck, any mirage to do with me would probably be music-related. Hahaha, it'd be a good chance to showcase a few tunes!

Paimon: You mean you'd wanna do a performance in there!?

Xinyan: Why not? I don't think any self-respecting musician could stay silent on these islands. Just look at this place!

Paimon: So much confidence and optimism! Xinyan rocks...

Patrick: If I had a mirage, it would probably be super violent. Because of what me and the Valkyries went through with 2 impacts, war, and an evil man.

Paimon: Oh, uh, Traveler! Valkyries! Paimon wants to try some of the fruit growing on that cliff over there. Let's go pick some!

Kiana: FRUIT?! OK!

Aether: (Oh? Is this about...) Carry on without us, we need a moment with Paimon.

The Valkyries, Aether, Paimon, Patrick, CPUs, and CPU Candidates go up to the same spot they were when they contacted Venti.

Paimon: So, those strange houses today, huh... And a... a mirage-bonsai? Basically, lots of weird stuff today! Do you think we should tell Venti about it?

Aether: I thought you were gonna ask me that.

Kiana: We better tell him and see if he knows anything about mirages.

Dodocommunication Device: Dodoco! Dodoco! Dodoco! Dodoco! Dodoco!

Paimon: There's no answer... That's weird, why is he ignoring us?

Aether: This doesn't seem like him...

Mei: He's probably busy with something that he doesn't have time to answer.

Paimon: Maybe he got distracted? Or he forgot to bring the bomb to his performance? Or maybe he got drunk and fell asleep under that huge tree...

Patrick: Or he dropped it and lost it.

Neptune: A huuuuuuge possibility.

Paimon: Hmm... maybe we should try contacting him tomorrow.

Mona: Traveler, Paimon, everyone. So here you are.

Mona came up to them with Noire and Uni.

Paimon: Mona! Are you all done chatting with Fischl?

Noire: Yes. You can say that.

Mona: Hahaha, close enough... She was a little downcast. I think it has something to do with the mirage we saw today. Fischl has been very excited about this trip from the start... but I have a feeling she doesn't want to see her own mirage...

Paimon: Why? It seems like this'd be the kind of thing she really enjoys.

Mona: ...I'm not sure at this stage, but I'll keep an eye on her.

Uni: She probably doesn't want anyone seeing her past.

Noire: Maybe.

Mona: There's something else I wanted to tell you. I tried performing a divination again on the beach.

Theresa: And what happened?

Mona: My scryglass was still blurry, but I felt a force coming from within. I couldn't see its exact position, but I knew that it was changing.

Paimon: How could you tell that if you couldn't see it clearly?

Mona: Hmm, how can I explain this concept to non-experts... Oh, I know! It's like we're sitting in a room and there's a crack in the walls. We don't know where it is, but everyone can feel the wind rushing in. Not only that, but the room is getting colder.

Paimon: Ohh! Paimon gets it now! So you wanna find where that crack is, right?

Mona: You could say that. I need to see the crack first before deciding what to do next.

Mona: ...Seems like similar things happen every time I'm with you. I'll attempt divination, read the signs, zero in on the target, then solve the problem.

Kiana: Two times already. And this is the third time.

Mona: You're surrounded by all kinds of friends, secrets, and destinies. It's incredible.

Paimon: No, you're incredible! You helped Fischl and us solve that Leonard situation.

Sakura: And helped us defeat the Fatui.

Mei: And saved us from Scaramouche.

Aether: Is this a good thing for an astrologist?

Mona: All things considered, I suppose. Let's hope we can all stick together and resolve this, like we did last time.

Paimon: When you say together, do you mean the two of you, or all of us here?

Mona: Pff... Okay, okay, all of us then! Sometimes, Paimon offers an insightful perspective that can be very helpful to me.

Paimon: Really? Paimon's starting to like you a lot, Genius Astrologist Mona!

Patrick: You're very beautiful and intelligent, Mona Magistus.

Kiana: We can even say your full name right.

Mona: Yes, that's the perspectives I'm talking about! You'll never meet another astrologist as clever and charming as me, ohohohoho!

Paimon: Yeah, everything about you's great, except for, um... please don't laugh like Fischl again... ever.

Mona: Ahem! Sorry... Heh, friends' habits rub off on you when you spend a lot of time together, don't they... haha... hah...

Neptune: Yes they do. Especially to loners like Noire.

Noire: Don't call me that!

Mona: I'll keep observing the stars. Keep in touch, guys.

(Mondstadt)

Jeanne was at Cat's Tail checking on Venti. She found him on the roof.

Venti: Achoo!

Jeanne: playing your lyre for the Cat's Tail and your allergies got the better of you.

Venti: I may be an Archon, but that doesn't mean that I can't get allergies too.

Jeanne: Why don't we go somewhere else to get away from your allergies. I know, let's go to Windrise and feel better.

Venti: Ok. That beats having to be all the way up here.

Jeanne: (Kind of wish that my Alter self was here but Patrick doesn't have her. Erika Harlacher did a great job voicing her just like how great she was when she voiced me, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Venti.)

(Next Day)

Paimon was waking Aether up.

Paimon: Get up, lazybones! The sun's so high, it's right in your eyes!

Aether: ... Paimon, it's fine, I sleep with my eyes closed.

Paimon: Yeah, that's why you couldn't see that the sun's in your eyes!

Kaedehara Kazuha: I trust you slept well, Traveler?

Aether: Well enough.

Neptune: All reacharged!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Sounds like the same story for everyone. I got up first today, so I took a walk around and picked some fruits for our breakfast.

Mei: I was cooking the breakfast.

Sakura: So was I.

Vert: I was brewing tea.

Paimon: And Paimon's been waiting for you to get up so she can finally dig in!

Kiana: And now that you are up. We can finally dig in!

They all enjoy breakfast together and get chatting... However, Fischl and Oz were missing. Bronya had changed into her Shrine Maiden outfit. And Fu Hua was back in her sage outfit.

Paimon: Huh? Fischl left first thing in the morning?

Xinyan: Yeah, she seemed unwilling to stay with us. She said she had some other work to do for the Adventurers' Guild.

Paimon: A likely story! What happened to coming here to restore the glory of the Immernachtreich? Now she has Guild work to do all of a sudden?

Aether: Alright, Paimon, keep it together...

Kaedehara Kazuha: Judging by that look on her face... there was probably something on her mind.

Xinyan: We tried sending Mona to comfort her, like before... but she said Mona doesn't understand the work of the Adventurers' Guild, and can't go with her.

Noire: She didn't want anyone to come with her. We offered to go with her but she refused to let us go with her.

Neptune: Very Tsundere of her.

Paimon: She didn't even make up some excuse about the Immernachtreich to get some time alone? That's out of character for her.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Then she must be feeling quite troubled.

Mona: I'd love to help her as a friend... but she was right about one thing. We're going to explore another island today.

Noire: I guess that she won't tell us what's troubling her.

Aether: Oh? Is that so?

Paimon: Yup, votes are in, it's unaninimous [sic]!

Aether: But I wasn't there for the vote!

Xinyan: Oh, yeah, about that... Paimon went ahead and voted for you. She said since you're always together, her opinion counts as yours, and vice versa.

Paimon: Hehe, well, you are an adventurer, after all. Paimon knew you'd wanna go exploring!

Aether: (Aah, Paimon... well, guess it's happening now...)

Mona: Fischl said there's something she wants to investigate, and suggested that we all go ahead in the meantime. She told me not to worry, she'll catch up with us when she's done. Despite her... quirks, she's still an experienced adventurer. I think we should trust her.

Kaedehara Kazuha: I haven't known her for long, so this is just an observation, but... it seems like she's struggling with some internal conflict.

Paimon: Hmm, that seems about right...

Neptune: And she keeps denying it.

Kaedehara Kazuha: In conflict with others, you either resolve it or let it be. But when the conflict is within yourself, it's much harder to do either. ...I've also had a time like that in my life, so I understand what she's going through. It may be best to give her some space.

Xinyan: I agree. Still, it's a pity for today's adventure. Adventuring is always more fun when everyone's together.

Neptune: All together!

Paimon: Xinyan always has great team spirit...

Theresa: Always count on teamwork.

Xinyan: Oh, one other thing. This morning, we saw a mirage on the island in the north. We can go take a look once you're done with your breakfast, Traveler.

After breakfast, they go to the Broken Isle.

Neptune: I wonder what mirages we'll see next?

Kiana: I think mirages from Xinyan next.

Paimon: This island looks pretty normal.

Patrick: Nothing out of the ordinary.

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...I smell something burning on the wind.

Mona: Ugh... my scryglass is getting clearer, but I still can't see much...

Xinyan: Hey, look what I found!

Xinyan: It's a... well, is it a drum, or a plant?

Mei: It looks like a drum covered in plant.

Kaedehara Kazuha: An instrument made of a plant? Hmm...

Mona: Xinyan, do you think this could be your island?

Xinyan: Oh, you mean this instrument could have been put here just for me? Okay, let me give it a try...

Kaedehara Kazuha: Hold on. When I touched the rock garden in the bonsai yesterday, we were all transported to another space. Xinyan, do you want to take some time first to get ready?

Theresa: He's right. We should discuss this first before we go into another domain.

Xinyan: You're right, but it's all good. I'm always ready to make some music!

So she touches the drum then everything flashed.

On entering the domain, they landed.

Paimon: *cough* *cough* Paimon just got a mouthful of dirt...

Kiana: At least you didn't get dirt in your eyes. Like a certain Bully Maguire would do. Put dirt in people's eyes.

Neptune: Good reference.

Xinyan: Paimon, are you okay?

Kaedehara Kazuha: Just as we thought... we've been sent to another place.

Sakura: Just like what happened with Kazuha.

Mona: Why does this place feel so bleak? ...Xinyan, are you sure this is your mirage?

Xinyan: I think so, yeah, but... you're right, why is it so bleak here?

Paimon: Look, there's something really bright over there. It's almost like it's inviting us to go check it out.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Okay, let's go have a look.

Paimon: Wait, wait, wait! This is too obvious. Surely it's gotta be a trap?

Neptune: Like bugs being attracted to light only to get zapped.

Himeko: Yes.

Mona: That may well be, but there's also nowhere else for us to go.

Aether: Indeed...

Kaedehara Kazuha: If this mirage belongs to Xinyan, I don't think we will find any traps there.

Neptune: However, we may find puzzles here.

Bronya: And chests too.

Xinyan: Now you're talking! You know that wouldn't be my style.

Paimon: Hmm, that makes sense. Alright, let's go then, but let's also make sure to be careful.

Himeko: Lead the way, Xinyan.

Xinyan: You got it!

So Xinyan leads the party. By hitting drums, stone platforms move. Then two island later, they end up on an island with a locked door.

Mona: The door is locked.

Aether: Mona, do that thing where you turn into water, and slide under!

Mona: Keep your nonsense to yourself, thank you very much.

Neptune: Kazuha, lift yourself into the air and jump over it!

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...Let's keep thinking this through.

Paimon: Xinyan, why did you lock the door?

Xinyan: You'd think I'd know this... Haha...

Kiana: It wasn't her doing.

Ram: Yeah it wasn't her fault, baka.

Paimon: What did you just call me?!

Xinyan: Oh, actually... I usually put my key under the flower pot next to the door. So... maybe the key is nearby.

Paimon: Oh! Is there a flower pot around here?

Aether turns back then looks at one of the Melodic Harps on one of the floating islands.

Aether: There are no pots, but there is... a flower.

Everyone comes to him.

Xinyan: I guess it's worth a shot.

After activating the Melodic Harp from completing a music puzzle, music plays.

Xinyan: Uh, I hear music.

Paimon: This place really is dedicated to music.

Then they find the key in a chest.

Paimon: Wow, so we did get the key from the plant! The puzzles in Xinyan's mirage seem way easier than Kazuha's.

Xinyan: Well, his life experiences are far richer than mine.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Haha, you flatter me.

They return back to the door then use the key to unlock it. Then when they entered it, they ended up in a new domain.

Neptune: Woah! We ended up in a different location!

Kiana: We did!

Patrick: Let's keep moving.

Exiting out of the cave they ended up in a large cavern, where at the center was a giant flower. So they used their wind gliders to glide down.

Paimon: Wow, that flower is huuuge!

Mona: It's so hot here... is it because of that flower?

Blazing Heart: Heck yeah, I wasn't expecting visitors.

Paimon: Aaaah!!! It talks!

Aether: So did the squirrel and boat from yesterday.

Paimon: Paimon knows! But this is different!

Himeko: A plant is talking.

Xinyan: Hi, we touched those drum-like plants growing on the beach outside, and were transported here. Are you the owner of this place?

Blazing Heart: This is the hall of music, and I'm merely its gatekeeper. Tell me, my friends, are you here to pursue the ultimate expression of music?

Xinyan: Ohh, you betcha!

Noire: She is. Not the rest of us.

Blazing Heart: Then tell me, what do you hope to express with music?

Xinyan: The spirit of resistance!

Blazing Heart: Right on, great answer! I'm so glad to hear that. I consider myself very lucky to meet another musician with the same ideals.

Paimon: Even giant flowers get along well with Xinyan...

Mona: People who are easy to get along with make friends wherever they go.

Blazing Heart: If you've made it this far, you must wish to venture deeper into the hall of music. However, I must apologize. My singing voice is required for entry, but unfortunately my pipes are a little dry...

Xinyan: Are you alright? Do you need... uh, some cold medicine or something?

Blazing Heart: It's just that I haven't had any Glacial Spring Water in a very long time. If I could drink some of that, my voice would be rocked and loaded, and ready to clear your path.

Xinyan: Glacial Spring Water?

Blazing Heart: Yeah. With one sip of that, anyone could sing the most beautiful song, no matter if they were a weary adult, a sleepy bird, or even an ignorant child...

Xinyan: ...

Xinyan: Okay, I'll find some for ya. Where is this spring?

Seele: Tell us where it is and we'll find it for you.

Blazing Heart: Thanks, you're the best! Well, spring water helps plants grow up strong so that they can scale the mountains that lie in their way... so, I imagine the spring can be found somewhere on the mountain range protected by plants.

Paimon: You mean we have to go hiking? Oh, Paimon thought some seawater would be enough.

Seele: Or water from a Hydro Vision user.

Mona: Spring water and seawater could not be more dissimilar.

Blazing Heart: Oh, but you may need my powers in order to see the spring. Give me your hand, friend, so that you can see through my eyes.

So Xinyana and Blazing Heart shake hands.

Xinyan: Thanks! You shook my hand — guess that makes this friendship official!

Then they ended up back outside.

Paimon: Oh, we're out!

Xinyan: It's much brighter here. I didn't mind that hot cave, though.

Noire: It's hard to deal with heat.

Blanc: At least you have Cryo Vision users who can cool you off.

Seele: And Hydro Vision users who can keep you hydrated.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Glacial Spring Water can be found on one of the mountains around here. Let's all look for it.

Mona: Wait, how can there be light coming from below the ground here? Is this... a water vein?

Xinyan: According to that flower, the water vein is related to the plants, and the plants will lead us to that spring. So I guess we should follow the water veins.

So they follow the water veins removing obstacles in the way.

Xinyan: The flow of water is blocked here.

Paimon: Is it because of that pile of rocks? Let's remove them!

Bronya smashes the rocks with Project Bunny.

Paimon: Done!

Blanc smashes the second pile of rocks with her hammer.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Everyone, I found a note here.

They take a look at the A Seemingly Waterproof Note.

A Seemingly Waterproof Note:

This series of islands is the most unique area I have encountered on this trip. It seems ostensibly ordinary, but the various mountains here have been hollowed out such that changes in their internal water levels will cause them to resound.

At the same time, the waters that crisscross the mountains are linked. At high tide, the mountains will play a preset tune together as they resonate as one.

I have never encountered the use of mountains, let alone an entire island chain, as a musical instrument of titanic proportions. The designer of this setup must have had great ingenuity, but also a pair of immensely skilled hands.

I stayed here for a while longer to closely observe and record the geography and design of these mountains, while listening to the music that they make at various times of the day.

The great creativity of their creator in blending nature and artistry together so perfectly leaves me, frankly, in awe.

Good designs should never be lost, and so I have left these notes for any who should come by after me.

If you, too, have come to this place, rest awhile on the mountaintops and let the tides make music for you.

It is no easy undertaking to make nature itself lie beside you and sing to you. Indeed, it is an epoch-making deed.

I hope that you, too, will get to enjoy this sight.

P.S.: This sheet of paper has been alchemically treated to be water- and fire-proof. Do not worry about the veracity of these notes. Just enjoy the music and the scenery.

Albedo

Kaedehara Kazuha: Oh, so that's how it is. What an interesting island.

Paimon: Look at this style and signature... it's from Albedo! He's one of our friends from Mondstadt.

Sakura: So he set up camp here the last time when we were on these islands.

Paimon: He's an amazing alchemist who's visited this island before. He left this note here for future adventurers.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Oh? So it's him.

Xinyan: He's saying this whole island has been turned into an instrument!? Amazing...

Paimon: And the underground water veins play an important part too... Oh, maybe we need to clear all the water veins to "play" this island.

Xinyan: Clean your instrument before the performance! Makes a lot of sense.

Himeko: Let's keep following the water veins.

So they go back outside and go up the mountain

Approaching the water source, they find more of the plants they saw in the cave.

Paimon: These plants look a lot like the ones we saw in the cave.

After unblocking the water veins, the Glacial Water Spring appears.

Paimon: This should be the Glacial Spring Water we're looking for.

Mona: So if you drink this, you can suddenly sing like an angel?

Theresa: If it's true, then yes.

Patrick: Like when Garfield drank funny water which caused him to turn funny like all the other animals in the forest he and Oddy were in searching for that funny water.

Kaedehara Kazuha: You should give it a try, if you're curious.

Mona: No no no, I'm terrible at singing... it would be extremely embarrassing if it didn't work.

Xinyan: Haha, Mona, I actually think you've got a sweet voice that's well-suited for singing! If you're interested, I can teach you a few things about vocals once we get back to camp.

Neptune: You have an attractive voice.

Nepgear: Attractive enough for people to fall for you.

Mona: Really? I—I'd love to, but you'd have to promise you won't laugh at me.

Xinyan: Of course not! Everyone's gotta start somewhere, right?

Mona: R—Right... then maybe I can give it a try.

Xinyan: Great! But before that, we should deliver the spring water to that flower.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Well, to re-enter the mirage, we just need to touch the drum on the beach again.

So they fill a bottle up with the Spring Water. However, Neptune gets more bottles of the water and puts them in the inventories. Then they return back to the domain where Blazing Heart was.

Xinyan: This is the Glacial Spring Water you were looking for.

Xinyan sprinkles the flower with spring water... And the flower was glowing red.

Blazing Heart: I'm feeling a lot better now. Thank you very much. Now, I'll send you to your destination.

Paimon: Whoa!

Everything flashed again then they ended up in another cave where there was another door and when they entered, they were in the Hall of Music.

Mona: Argh, I'm going to lose my hat...

Kaedehara Kazuha: Hmm? This scent... I think we've arrived at a mountain near Liyue.

Fu Hua: We're not in Liyue. We're still in the domain.

Paimon: But it's so dark here...

Xinyan: Wait, listen, there's a voice... Can you hear that?

Himeko: Yes.

Blanc: It's coming from that door.

They go to the door and listen.

Mother: The reason the birds sing so sweetly is because they drink the spring water from up on mountaintops. Xinyan, we're not singers in this family, none of us are. What makes you think you can be any different?

Kid Xinyan: Oh, so I just need to go drink some of this spring water, and then I'll be able to sing? I'll be right back, Mama!

Himeko: Xinyan... Was your family against you becoming a musical artist?

Xinyan: I'll explain later, Himeko.

They go up to the next door.

Neptune: First Shinobu's family was against her doing other things like becoming a shinobi and wanted her to become a shrine maiden just like them and now Xinyan's family was against her becoming a musical artist.

Theresa: It's terrible. Now it looks like Xinyan ran away from her family too.

Father: You mustn't stay out so late in the mountains by yourself, child! You scared the bejesus out of me! ...Here, this is the spring water you were looking for.

Kid Xinyan: Really? Oh, you're the best, daddy!

Then to the next door.

Mother: Where did she run off to this time?

Father: To find somewhere she could sing, no doubt. *sigh* She can't be persuaded, and we can't stop her from walking out the door. Did you really have to lie to her like that?

Mother: How was I supposed to know she'd go running off looking for spring water! *sigh* When is she going to come to her senses...

Kiana: Her family really was against her singing.

Sakura: It looks like her family all spoke in western accents.

Then they went to the next door.

Man's Voice: Get down from there! You can't set up a stage here! If you can't sing, you should be keeping your mouth shut, not putting on a public performance! Ugh.

Young Xinyan: Aaaah, don't tear down the stage!

Then they turned right and approach the three doors.

Uncle Zhu: Xinyan, my dear child, why are you playing that crass instrument again? It's not ladylike.

Jixiang: Oh, Xinyan, your mother has asked me to teach you some embroidery when I can find the time. It's an elegant and enjoyable craft. Just come to Auntie's house whenever you're free.

Uncle Hai: Quit making that racket by the side of the road! If you have to play, play something classy!

Paimon: Wh—Why are they being so mean!?

Theresa: Because they're all against her becoming a singer! How dare they!

Patrick: forcing people to give up their dreams is unforgivable.

Mona: Ugh, these people...

Kaedehara Kazuha: ...

Paimon: ARGH! That's it! Why are you not yelling back? What happened to your rock 'n' roll spirit?

Xinyan: Hehe...

Himeko: Xinyan?

Paimon: And now you're laughing!? Aren't you mad?

Seele: Surely this is hurting your feelings, Xinyan. Aren't you hurt from hearing words from the past again?

Xinyan: Sometimes it's hard to get mad when you hear the same thing a hundred times. Still... thanks, Paimon.

Paimon: ...Uh what?

Theresa: It would of been better if the twins and Elizabeth were here.

??? ??? ???: We are!

Girls: HUH?!

Appearing from blue mana particles were the Gemina twins and Elizabeth Bathory.

Liliya: Forcing to give up idol dreams is unforgivable.

Rozaliya: How dare they!

Elizabeth: Unforgivable!

Xinyan: Now. Now. Leave this to me.

Xinyan walks up to the doors.

Theresa: How did you get here?

Elizabeth: I went back to Mondstadt and brought the twins back here. We saw and heard everything by the way.

Sakura: Just like we did.

Tamamo: Being sneaky.

Xinyan: Auntie Jixiang, how are you doing?

Jixiang: Oh, dear child, I've been waiting to hear from you for a long time. This weekend, I'll be free...

Patrick: they're actually interacting with her?

Xinyan: Auntie, stop thinking about me for a hot sec, your stove is still on, and you're cooking soup, right? Hmm... you see, it's all burnt.

Jixiang: Oh! How did this happen!?

Xinyan: Oh my, Uncle Zhu, Little Zhu is playing in the mud by the river again! Didn't you tell him to not do that?

Uncle Zhu: What? That rascal is up to his old shenanigans behind my back again, is he? Oh, well, we'll see about that!

Xinyan: Hehehe... Sorry, Uncle Hai, I'll move my stage someplace else. But, your musical taste needs to evolve if you wanna keep up with the times. Maybe you didn't know, but even the most famous opera singer in Liyue likes listening to my boorish music.

Uncle Hai: What did you say? Is that true? You're not making this up, are you? Huh, I'll have to look into this.

Then all the doors disappear.

Mona: They're all gone...

Xinyan: See? Knowing the right words to say and when to smile can solve almost any problem.

Kaedehara Kazuha: If that's the case, then what's your rock 'n' roll spirit for?

Xinyan: My rock 'n' roll spirit isn't something I just use to win an argument. That'd be a real waste.

Liliya: Then what do you use?

Xinyan: Rock 'n' roll is a revolution! Transforming your identity and destiny, saying goodbye to concessions and cowardice... it does them all. And most importantly, it lets you do it with art rather than words! My rock 'n' roll has an unbreakable spirit, like a flame in a rainstorm that refuses to go out, or the magma that never stops boiling under the surface of the land.

Patrick: A burning heart.

Neptune: High spirits burning.

Xinyan: Okay, let's go. Let's go that way! There's a side path right there.

They go to the side path.

Mona: What a great mindset you have. If anyone ever called me anything less than a genius, I'd be furious.

Paimon: Really? Paimon is tempted to give it a shot... Eeek! Mona is glaring at me!

Xinyan: Paimon, there's a difference between embracing the spirit of rock 'n' roll and playing with fire...

Kaedehara Kazuha: To tell you the truth, I'm also starting to develop an interest in rock 'n' roll.

Xinyan: Seriously? This'd better not be a joke.

Kaedehara Kazuha: No, I'm serious. Rock 'n' roll's ability to cultivate such a strong will in people is an incredible thing.

Rozaliya: It's a great type of music!

Patrick: I like listening to rock n roll music during fights.

They use the music puzzle mechanism and unlock the door and continue down the path till they come across another door on the bridge..

Paimon: Hey, is that...

Mona: Another door. More delightful individuals await us on the other side, I assume?

Xinyan: Let me handle it. Piece of cake.

Little Fei: Miss, your hairstyle is really strange.

Xinyan: Is that so? I think it looks really cool. Take a closer look if you don't believe me.

Little Fei: Your hair sticks out from your head, and you wear spiky things in it... nobody else has hair like that.

Xinyan: You're looking at it the wrong way. If I don't look like anybody else, once you've seen me, you won't be able to forget me even if you try. You'll still recognize me if you ever see me again in the future.

Little Fei: Hmm... yeah, you're right!

Xinyan: Your clothes, hair, even the way you walk and talk... It's not just for the eyes of others. It's your style, so you should go with whatever you like.

Little Fei: Really? But if I wore a jacket with a picture of a puppy on it, people would say, "Hey, Little Fei likes stupid little puppies."

Xinyan: Then you should ignore them. So, you like puppies, huh?

Little Fei: I do.

Xinyan: What about your friends?

Little Fei: Well... yeah, they do too.

Xinyan: Well then, your friends are gonna love that jacket.

Little Fei: ...'Kay. Miss, how come you don't do your hair in a nice braid? People would love that.

Xinyan: I can't help myself, I just like the styles with personality. *sigh* Plus I had no idea how so many people would dislike it before I started wearing my hair like this.

Little Fei: So why don't you change it now?

Xinyan: Well, this hairstyle suits my music and my lifestyle. The regular ones are boring, they're so uninspired. Plus they get in the way when I'm head-bobbing away on stage. If people don't like it, that's up to them. I ain't gonna change it.

Little Fei: What about your friends? Do they not like it, too?

Xinyan: Course they like it! They all say that they think it looks amazing.

Little Fei: ...Your friends are nice to you. That's cool. Not like my friends... they left me here on my own. *sobs*

Xinyan: Hey now, why are you crying? What's wrong? You can talk to me.

Little Fei: Little Lulu and Little Meng... they're ignoring me... *sobs* We were gonna meet at the docks today, but they still haven't shown up...

Paimon: These kids are way too young to be standing each other up like this!

Xinyan: Stay right here, I'll go take a look around. I'll bring them to you once I find them.

Little Fei appears next to the door.

Little Fei: O—Okay! Thanks, Miss. I'll never say anything bad about your hair again.

Xinyan: See, now you're talkin' sense! I'll see you later.

Rom: How terrible being treated badly by friends.

Ram: Yes. Very terrible.

Theresa: Let's go search for those two.

They first go to Little Meng.

Xinyan: Excuse me, are you Little Meng? Little Fei is waiting for you at the docks. He's been waiting so long now that he's in tears about it.

Little Meng: Ugh! Why is he so dumb, he could have just come here and found us... Never mind, I'll go find him instead.

Paimon: He ran off. We should catch up to him.

Then they go to Little Lulu.

Xinyan: Excuse me, are you Little Lulu?

Little Lulu: Are you looking for me, Miss?

Xinyan: Didn't you promise to meet Little Fei at the docks? Why aren't you going to meet up with him? He's crying 'cause he thinks you've abandoned him.

Little Lulu: Huh? That silly dumb-dumb, why didn't he just come to look for us? We prepared a surprise gift for him.

Paimon: A surprise gift? How strange...

Elizabeth: So they really do care for him.

They approach Little Fei, Little Meng, and Little Lulu.

Little Lulu: You dumb-dumb, we were preparing a surprise gift for you! We didn't think that you wouldn't come to try and find us... and definitely didn't think you'd start crying about it...

Little Fei: I'm sorry for being such an idiot...

Little Lulu: No, I'm sorry! You're not an idiot. I guess we shouldn't have been so secretive about it.

Little Meng: We didn't come to the docks to meet you because we wanted to give you a big surprise for your birthday.

Little Fei: Huh? This is...

Little Meng: We've brought you loads of yummy Lotus Heads. And here's a handwritten birthday letter from me and Lulu, too... please don't call our handwriting ugly, okay?

Little Lulu: Tee-hee!

Little Fei: You guys... Hehe, thank you...

Paimon: Whew... and all's well that ends well!

Kaedehara Kazuha: It was all just a misunderstanding.

Xinyan: Well, sometimes that's just what friends do. If my friends had ditched me to plan a surprise, I'd have gotten upset too.

Mona: Is that a hint for us to prepare a surprise for you, too? Very clever...

Xinyan: No! I was just speaking my mind...

Mona: Hehe, I know. I was just joking... seeing if I could give you a fright.

A loud stomach growl is heard.

Neptune: Who's stomach growled~?

Noire: It wasn't me!

Kiana: It wasn't me either.

Lolis: It wasn't us.

Paimon: Uh... everyone... Paimon's hungry...

Aether: That rumble had no business being that loud!

Xinyan: It's almost lunchtime, so how about... we have lunch at my house? It's not far from here.

Paimon: So even your house is in this mirage?

Xinyan: Yep. I just noticed, there's the same road in here as the one that leads to my house in real life. Even though we're in a mirage, I reckon some things will always remain the same. In real life, after a bad quarrel with the neighbors, or a disappointing show... The one place I'll always go is my house. Because... everyone has to go home eventually.

(Xinyan's house)

Xinyan: Here we are. Please come in! Make yourselves at home, no need to take off your shoes!

Kaedehara Kazuha: Thank you for your hospitality.

Mona: Oh, chairs! We can finally unwind for a bit.

Xinyan: Huh? Did you guys hear a sound coming from the other room...? You all keep resting here, I'll go have a look.

Xinyan enters the room.

Xinyan: The lights aren't even on, and there's no one— woah!!

Xiangling and Yun Jin appear.

Xiangling and Yun Jin: Dun dun DUN!!! Happy Birthday!

Xinyan: What are you two doing? Why are you sitting in the dark inside my house? You scared the bejesus outta me!

Xiangling: Yun Jin, you were totally right. She does get spooked!

Yun Jin: It's your birthday, so we planned a surprise party for you.

Xinyan: You girls really shouldn't pull these pranks while pretending to be all sweet and innocent...

Yun Jin: Eh? Come on now, what's wrong with that? Who says that being cute and innocent means you can't pull pranks? Back me up, Xiangling?

Xiangling: Totally, Yun Jin! Guoba pulls pranks on me all the time, too.

Xinyan: Alright, alright, you win.

Xiangling: Beidou needs to do something today, so she's asked me to bring some gifts along from her, for you. So here they are! A custom-made dagger, and the score of a composition from abroad!

Yun Jin: As for my offerings, I had these gold hairpins and iron hair ties custom-made for you by my family.

Xinyan: Iron hair ties!? You're telling me that your family used their one thousand years' worth of experience to make... hair ties?

Yun Jin: What's the problem? Hair ties may look simple and unassuming, but they actually require a lot of intricate craftsmanship to make!

Xiangling: Hehe, my gift is one-of-a-kind. A little while ago, I came across a bespectacled blacksmith on the street. The way he worked and talked, it felt almost like he could see right through stones. I was skeptical, so I asked him to help me make a bet, and when the merchant cracked the stone open, there was indeed a piece of raw jade inside! Hehe, I took the jade on the spot and ground it into a pendant, which I then strung on a cord. You can use it as an accessory.

Xinyan: Wow, you made a jade pendant for me?

Xiangling: Yeah! Oh, don't wear it around your neck! Put it on your guitar! Every day, I see how much you pamper that guitar, so I thought you should jazz it up a bit.

Xinyan: I don't know if I can bring myself to hang this thing anywhere except in a display case on an altar! Thank you, Xiangling. You're so thoughtful.

Yun Jin: Hehe, Xiangling has always been thoughtful. But the blacksmith you mentioned who could see through stones... can you tell me more about him? If the story's interesting enough, I might have to put it into my play.

Xiangling: I'm not exactly sure, but I hear that he was sick for a while, and was so disoriented during that time that he couldn't remember anything, and felt as if his body didn't belong to him... And then, all of a sudden, he recovered! He's all fine now, except for some reason, he can now tell the difference between valuable and worthless stones just by looking at them.

Yun Jin: Hmm... that's certainly peculiar.

Xiangling: Let's not get into that. The food is getting cold. Let's eat!

The 3 girls sit at a table with food.

Yun Jin: Wait, Xinyan, didn't you pick up a trick from an outlander merchant? The one you taught me on my last birthday.

Xinyan: Hmm? Oh, you mean making a birthday wish?

Yun Jin: Yes, that's the one. They also light candles and cut cakes in other regions, but we didn't have time for that, because we were too busy bringing the food over.

Xinyan: It's fine, I can just use my imagination.

Yun Jin: Okay, let's count to three and you can make a wish. One...

Xiangling: Two...

Yun Jin: Three...

Xinyan: Hmm, what should I wish for this year... My wish is...

The domain is automatically exited with a scene transition. Xinyan opens her eyes.

Xinyan: Oh, I'm back?

Paimon: What happened? Paimon was just peering through the crack in the door.

Fu Hua: We heard the voices of Xiangling and Yun Jin.

Mona: Given that we are in a mirage, Xinyan, did anything significant happen inside the house?

Paimon: Paimon knows, Paimon knows, she ran into some of her friends who were throwing her a birthday party!

Mona: Yes, I heard all that! I mean something she did herself.

Xinyan: ...Oh! I made a wish. It's pretty interesting, now that I think about it. When I entered the room, I found Xiangling and Yun Jin, two of my best friends!

Aether: They are our friends too.

Kiana: Yes.

Fu Hua: They're both well-known in Liyue.

Xinyan: That actually happened in real life. They paid me a surprise visit on my birthday, set a table with delicious food, and persuaded me to make a birthday wish.

Mona: Xinyan, what was your wish?

Xinyan: My wish was to "perform with someone completely unexpected."

Twins: To "perform with someone completely unexpected."

Kaedehara Kazuha: Hmm, I wonder who this unexpected person might be?

Xinyan: I've just figured it out.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Oh, you already know the answer?

Xinyan: Mm-hmm. However, before I tell you the answer, I'd like to clear the water veins that flow through the mountains.

Neptune: Ok.

Neptune smirked then the CPUs and CPU Candidates transformed, then the party split into two groups to clear the mountains of the water veins.

After clearing the water veins they met back up at the drum. The CPUs and CPU Candidates changed back.

Paimon: We've done everything we can, but how do we deal with the last two mountains?

Xinyan: Let's stick to it. There's gotta be a way.

Mona: After taking a closer look, it seems to me that most of the island mountains contain water veins and plants in their interior. Those together form a system that connects the mountains with one another. However, now that much of the mountains have collapsed, the connection of plants and water veins is blocked.

Kaedehara Kazuha: If we can dredge all the blockages, we will be able to connect the islands to form the giant instrument described in Albedo's notes, and play music using the islands themselves.

Xinyan: Yep, for me to reach my goal, we gotta do this... But first, I'd like to consult the flower. It should know what to do.

A scene transition occurs and they were back in the domain.

Xinyan: Some of the plants and water veins on the island mountains have been lost. Do you happen to know another way to dredge the blockages?

Blazing Heart: I know someone who can help you with that. Go ask my companion, Frozen Soul, who lives upstairs.

So they went all the way up and made their way to the other flower, Frozen Soul.

Frozen Soul: Who are you, and what brings you to me?

Xinyan: Nice to meet you. We were wondering if we could use your power to dredge the mountains on the island.

Frozen Soul: Mountains? Oh, I see... you want to become great musicians too, right?

Paimon: Oh? Is that what this is about?

Xinyan: Correct.

Lolis: YES!

Frozen Soul: In that case, we seek the same thing. Despite my frailty, I feel obligated to share some of my power with you. Plant my petal at the ending point of the intersection of melodies, and what had once sunk into the earth will re-emerge with the music. As long as there is music, life will continue to flourish in this world.

Xinyan: ...Thank you.

A domain transition occurs and they are back outside. Then they go back to the spring and plant Frozen Soul's Petal.

Mona: Okay, this ought to do the trick.

Then a giant flower grew out of the spring.

Kaedehara Kazuha: There is a sound coming from the island.

After clearing the 2 water veins a short music theme plays. Then they go back to Frozen Soul.

Xinyan: Can you feel anything, now that we've planted the petal?

Frozen Soul: Yes, I can feel it. The sun is shining brightly, the sea gleams like a gemstone, the waves lap the milky-white beaches, and the grains of sand are pulled into the sea, then pushed back ashore... ...the seabirds are landing on the rocks, pecking gently and making rhythmic sounds. ♪ dum-dum, dum-dum ♪...

Xinyan: It's music.

Frozen Soul: This is indeed music. In fact, this whole island is a giant musical instrument. Since you are a musician, you should be able to understand the meaning behind its original creation.

Xinyan: Making music with the tides, waves, and sea breeze as your instruments is the most romantic thing in the world.

Xinyan: Let's go, everyone. It's time for my performance.

A scene transition occurs and they were back outside.

Xinyan: Kazuha, can you feel the wind? Which direction is it blowing in?

Kaedehara Kazuha: It's coming from that direction. I'll take you to a hill where the wind blows.

So they go to the hill where the wind blows which was where the spring is.

Xinyan: ... Finally, the time has come. Everyone, I once made a wish to perform with someone no one could have expected. And today, on this island, I've found my answer.

Lolis: What is it?!

Xinyan: No one knows the name or appearance of the man who transformed this island into a giant musical instrument so many years ago, but he is unquestionably one of Teyvat's greatest musicians. I never imagined I'd be able to see such an instrument, and I never imagined we'd be able to play it during a high tide.

Aether: Are you going to play some rock 'n' roll?

Xinyan: No. Music is the gift one gives to their kindred spirit, so... I'll play something that makes for a better duet with the original musician. No rock music for today. Instead, I'm gonna show you something new!

Lolis: Show us!

A short cutscene plays.

Xinyan plays the guitar with her hair untied. The scene transitions to a young Xinyan looking out the window at a male guitarist playing a tune. Young Xinyan sparkles her eyes and imagines herself playing the guitar. The scene returns to Xinyan.

Xinyan: To you who lived here in the past, I hope you liked this song

Cutscene ends.

Xinyan: ...Phew.

Xinyan: How was it? Not bad, huh?

Theresa: It was great!

Rozaliya: Emotional!

Liliya: Just as great as your rock music!

Elizabeth: AWESOME!

Rom and Ram: Pretty!

Mona: Quite impressive.

Neptune Amazing!

Kaedehara Kazuha: I've never heard a duet like that before. It was very interesting.

Sakura: Praise worthy.

Paimon: And so elegant as well! Paimon's not sure how best to put it... But it was just super unique.

Aether: A performance with a lot of personality and with a lot of charm.

Xinyan: Hehe, thank you. And now I can say my wish has come true.

Mona: Is there anything else you'd like to do?

Xinyan: No, in fact, I reckon I'll get a good night's sleep tonight.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Does this mean everyone is free for the time being? If so, I have a suggestion. I'd like to return to the Fatui camp, and see what's going on there.

Mona: Oh? So you've discovered the Fatui camp as well.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Wait, you know about it too?

Mona: Of course, I'm a genius astrologist. Didn't I mention that my scryglass has recovered a little? I can sense what's going on here through divination.

Xinyan: Uh, I didn't know the Fatui were here too.

Theresa: Now her mood was killed.

Mona: Indeed. I also informed Fischl of this when we parted ways today. If she runs into them, she'll stay hidden and out of danger.

Kiana: Why is that? Are the Fatui after her for some reason?

Mona: I can't say.

Kaedehara Kazuha: I see, then perhaps we should tell everyone what we know.

They tell everyone about the Fatui camp and the strange machine they found on the day they arrived...

Mona: A strange machine, and delirious Fatui...? Are you suggesting these are connected to the mirage?

Nepgear: Maybe.

Kaedehara Kazuha: I can't say I'm certain, but I don't believe they are completely unrelated.

Xinyan: Fair enough. Let's go check out the camp.

So they went to the island where the Fatui machine was. Approaching the Fatui machine, slimes appeared.

Paimon: Whoa! Where did they come from!?

Kiana: How should we know?!

Neptune: Let's get rid of them first!

So they killed the slimes.

Paimon: It's strange that on our way here, we've only run into local monsters, and no Fatui.

Mona: How bizarre... there are still signs of the camp, and the machine is still here, but all the people have vanished.

Seele: Could the Fatui have left?

Bronya: No. They could still be here.

Aether: (This machine must have something to do with the mirages. Sure, it's broken, but maybe that itself is the cause. ...But if the machine can cause people to hallucinate, why did they vanish? Is there anything else going on? Did they disappear, or are they hiding from us?)

Mona: I give up — I'm just going to divine the answer.

Mona attempts a divination.

Mona: ...

Noire: Well? What did you see?

Mona: What's this...? Some kind of energy flow?

Uni: Energy flow?

Mona: Sorry, everyone, I can't seem to find any trace of the Fatui. My scryglass has gotten hazy again, but this time, I can sense some sort of energy converging and taking physical form.

Vert: Where is it?

Mona: The destination is... the island over there.

Mona looks at Twinning Isle.

Xinyan: Whose mirage will it be this time?

Theresa: Hard to say.

Mona: Hmm... let's head over and have a look. Maybe we'll be able to find something there.

(Twinning Isle)

Kaedehara Kazuha: Here we are.

Surprisingly at the island were Fischl and Oz.

Mona: Huh? Fischl?

Fischl: ...

Paimon: It's really her! Hey, Fischl—!

Fischl: ...Hmph, my imprudent retainers, you've finally arrived.

Oz: O—Oh my, long time no see!

Xinyan: It hasn't been that long, has it?

Neptune: It's only been a few hours.

Oz: Ahem... Mein Fräulein and I sensed a peculiar aura, and came here ahead of time to reunite with everyone. We weren't expecting you... Well, what I mean to say is, you arrived sooner than we expected.

Paimon: Is it just Paimon, or does Oz seem nervous?

Higokumaru: He knows something. He's getting nervous that we're about to find something out that he doesn't want us to know.

Fischl: The advent of the Immernachtreich is imminent, and I still need to prepare for the consecration.

Oz: Mein Fräulein, are you sure you—

Fischl: I am quite capable of acting on my own, Oz. If you're weary of the encroaching darkness of the night, you're quite welcome to return to the blinding brightness of the day.

Oz: Please, mein Fräulein, do not say such things. I am your loyal attendant, your eyes, and I will never leave your side.

Fischl: ...Stop staring at me like that! A—Anyway, the time of explanation... is not yet upon us, hmph!

Neptune: Now she was acting all Tsundere.

Oz: Oh, mein Fräulein. I do apologize, everyone. Mein Fräulein is having a rough day — please do not take it to heart. I must also excuse myself now.

Oz disappears.

Mona: ...Huh, still no improvement in her mood, even after all this time away from the group. As soon as I saw Fischl, I realized that the mirage that's about to take shape here must have something to do with her.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Yes. I, at least, felt a peculiar sense of familiarity when I approached my mirage.

Xinyan: Me too. Even though it didn't really make sense, I just had a feeling that something exciting was gonna happen.

Mona: Exactly, if Fischl and Oz can also sense something, then our suspicions are likely to be right on the Mora... Fischl's probably agitated because she doesn't want to confront her mirage.

Paimon: How come?

Mona: Maybe her mirage conceals some secrets that she doesn't want anyone to know about.

Neptune: Looks like we're going to see her backstory and where she came from and what her past was like.

Mona: Let's all take a rest here for now. When the mirage appears, we will get to the bottom of this mystery.

Sakura: I guess I should make us some onigiri.

Mei: And I'll make us some lunch.

Vert: And I'll make the drinks.
